Steve and Jennifer (Jen) Boyd have proudly owned and operated Boyd Construction in Northeast Ohio since 1990, building a family‑driven business that centers on client satisfaction and delivers luxury renovations that turn houses into homes. Steve brings more than 30 years of hands‑on experience learned from a family‑owned business and forged through dedication and care. Jen, a vital member of the team, has long dreamed of hosting weddings at her own luxurious venue, where luxury means exceeding expectations on every level and where couples can immerse themselves in opulence and warmth. Their motivation to launch a boutique wedding venue comes from a heartfelt desire to help dreams come true, celebrate love in grand, unforgettable ways, and begin something truly extraordinary. They pour their hearts into creating a space that fulfills—and surpasses—dreams, while cherishing time with family and their furry friends: four children, Golden Retriever Aida, and rabbits Manor and Mochi that resides at 1840 MH. They can’t wait to celebrate your special occasion and turn your dream into reality.

Hi, I’m Annelise! I’m the Director of Sales and Operations at 1840 Manor House, and I truly love what I do. I get to work with couples during one of the most exciting seasons of their lives - helping bring their vision to life while making the process smooth, fun, and allowing their creativity to soar. I’m passionate about every detail, big and small, and believe your wedding should authentically reflect you in every way. Whether it’s your first tour or your wedding day, I’m here to make sure you feel confident, cared for, and genuinely excited every step of the way. Outside of the venue, you can usually find me at the barn with my four horses: Josie, Kramer, Bubbles, and Rooster - at the gym, or chasing around my toddler. I never leave home without a lip gloss and an energy drink, and I also have a slight obsession with polka dots!

Even though 1840 Manor House is still on its way to being finalized this summer, it is looking amazing! My fiance, my family, & myself selected this venue for my wedding next fall...

because of the professionalism of the staff, the menu & catering choices, the beauty of their landscaping vision, an inclusion of a wedding planner, and many other enjoyable values. We got married at 1840 Manor House on 08/31/2025! There is truly no other venue like it. You can customize with different things offered on the property (the outdoor ceremony space...

, the bourbon lounge, etc) to make your day as simple or elaborate as you wish! The venue was so perfect for us! The inside ballroom is absolutely beautiful, and we loved that we were able to use the fire pits as well! Jen & Star were great to work with and the venue comes with a coordinator which was so helpful to specially the month leading up to the wedding!

We hosted our wedding at 1840 Manor House. The venue is BEAUTIFUL! They provide you with a wedding coordinator which a lot of other venues do not. Abby and Tamara were very helpful...

! Because 1840 is a newer venue some things felt unorganized. Some of the meetings that were held were unorganized with a lot of different people talking at once. They changed our cocktail hour location without telling us, and a lot of amenities that were told to us on our first walk through were all upcharges at the end. The owner Jen and manager Starlin were easy to work with and to get ahold of. I am a little disappointed however, because every wedding held at 1840 has had some sort of shout out or recap of their wedding on social media and our wedding did not. It was a very beautiful, and special wedding which confuses me as to why they wouldn't want to post any pictures. This makes us feel like our day was not special to them.
