ooked the Victorian home, and booked for 2 nights; friday night rehearsal, and saturday reception. Our ceremony space was gorgeous, and my bridesmaids and I had such an awesome experience spending the night in the house before hand, then getting ready at the house all day. It relieved a lot of stress not having to drive to the venue the day of, and being able to set up the day before. The ceremony space in front of the house is to die for- it was so beautiful, peaceful, and such a smooth process. We initially booked with 1890, because my husband and I loved the space, but were also really impressed by the professionalism and warmth of the owner, Paula. And this proved to be true throughout our entire experience. 1890 was clear about pricing, and everything we paid for more than met our expectations. Paula even helped my mother in law set up for our rehearsal dinner and work through some items we forgot. I loved working with Grace as day of coordinator- she was extremely organized, met with me multiple times in the weeks/months leading up to the event, and alleviated a lot of stress as far as having everything set and ready. Communication was prompt and helpful. Grace was a great problem solver, and was very patient and is overall a very calming presence! She went above and beyond- helped me with my seating chart when I forgot to print names, helped us remember deadlines, and just overall contributed to a smooth process. Booking with this venue is not only a gorgeous and fun setting to celebrate your marriage, but contributes to a smooth process.... planning a wedding is a lot, but 1890 is one of the reasons it was such an incredible experience.

ur wedding perfectly!! Down to every detail, every moment, I couldn’t imagine a more magical place to marry, my best friend. Our photos turned out amazing due to the beauty of their venue. We were able to get sunset photos with an incredible backdrop. They coordinated all of our vendors, and assisted with making sure everything was exactly as we wanted. They took so much stress off of us with the wedding planning, and I never doubted they would do it effortlessly!! They stayed throughout the event to make sure everything went off without a hitch. I ended up having a dress emergency with my bustle, and Paula was always right there to help me and find a solution. They truly think of and plan for everything that could happen and are prepared to fix it, things I never even thought of as a bride. We could have asked for a more wonderful day, and I’m so thankful we chose 1890 for our venue! Thank you Paula and Grace, you all are amazing!!!! I hope we can renew our vows there someday 😆

The whole setup of this venue made for smooth transitions, and their new cocktail barn was absolutely stunning! I also talked to the bride who went on and on about how much stress the staff took off of her back when it came to set-up and clean-up. A 10/10 venue for anyone looking to plan a wedding!

Couple the beauty with the remarkable staff who basically handled everything so well we could focus on family, friends, and ceremony, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. reception space.The victorian house is beautiful, and has a vintage charm. The men had a separate space with a pool table & tv and room to get ready. My fiancé and I were trying to plan our KC wedding from Seattle & 1890 covered all our bases without making us rent tables chairs linens. We loved having multiple spaces for guests to enjoy the wedding. It hailed and rained on our wedding day & Grace made sure we had a game plan if it didn’t stop. We ultimately had the opportunity to get married outside. The staff quickly cleaned up the chairs, removed all the leaves. The space was perfect but even if we would’ve had it indoors it would’ve been beautiful. It was a great option for older guests to be able to walk a few feet to each location rather than needing to shuttle or drive between venue spaces. My favorite new addition is their beautiful barn bar. The bar is separate from the indoor space and allowed for the less rowdy guests to sit down away from loud music while we got rowdy inside. Their service and team were always accessible, understanding and INCREDIBLY helpful. The team also worked with me by scheduling video calls since I was an out-of-town bride. Grace was communicative and incredibly helpful while making decisions. I loved every moment of my wedding and I am so grateful to have worked with the 1890 team to have had the perfect day.

were very accommodating. there are a lot of requirements that come with booking which they are upfront about. I wish there were less requirements so we could have stayed on budget but these requirements made our wedding more elegant. It really depends on your preference budget or beauty! One of the requirements is using their bartender. unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience with them as they did not communicate very well with me leading up to the wedding. After finally finalizing everything with them, we were under the impression that we would be sent a bill for our portion of the bar tab which included drink tickets we handed out to the guests for a drink on us but unfortunately they made our family pay it in full before leaving the wedding. The bartender otherwise did a great job taking care of everybody, but I didn’t care for how that was handled. To expect the bride and groom to settle up with the bartender before we leave our wedding is completely unrealistic and unreasonable especially when this expectation is not communicated. Most brides do not have their wallet on them.

nue is so beautiful and much prettier in person, if that's even possible. The 1890 Victorian house alone is amazing, I wish I could live there. The best part was being able to stay overnight in the house before the wedding. Waking up and going out on the deck that overlooks the ceremony site, it was literally every girls dream. The reception space next to the 1890 house is also so beautiful! We had roughly 200 guests, plus catering & venue staff running around and it didn't feel crowded the whole night. The two sided fireplace and gorgeous chandeliers give off such a romantic and timeless vibe. There are even built in speakers the DJ used. This made for some great acoustics without it echoing throughout the space which the groom was very particular about. The owner, Paula was such a delight to work with. She is so sweet, accommodating and personable. Her staff was also very exceptional on the day of the rehearsal and the wedding day itself. We had our rehearsal dinner inside the 1890 house, where the staff set up tables and chairs and broke them down when we were finished. On the day of the wedding, I saw so many people working tirelessly to make everything run smooth as butter. Paula and her staff was so gracious, even when we stood with our decision on having the ceremony outdoors in 35 degree Missouri weather. Having a venue and staff who was willing to do anything to make the Bride & Groom's day perfect was more than we could ever ask for. Having that type dedication from everyone made it so easy to sit back and enjoy the day. I could go on and on about 1890. Book the venue, you won't be disappointed!

eeting her for the first time, I knew I wanted to have my wedding at her venue she never tried to sell me on why she's the best. The venue itself, beautiful! I cannot say enough, I am so glad I chose the venue and the grounds are kept up so well. One of the disadvantages I had was communicating with the venue manager. She insist that if I had any questions to go through her instead of Paula. I remember requesting for some venue information and never heard from her so I went straight to Paula instead. Overall our wedding day went smoothly and beautifully. They had such an amazing clean up crew at the end of the night, they were quick to clean up!

e thanks to a breeze and location. We could then move into a well temperature controlled and beautifully decorated venue. The house was great for getting ready and pictures. We had a number of older siblings with children who slept at the house the night of the wedding. We were able to get sitters and put the grandkids at the house when it got late. They could all play together and go to sleep. This allowed all of my children and their spouses to fully enjoy the wedding (a difficult thing to achieve with young children in tow). Paula was very responsive and helpful.

d and more. The scenery was just everything to me but even more so the owner Paula was the most amazing woman to work with from the very beginning to the very end for my wedding. She goes out of her way to make your day so special, perfect and stress free but also very exciting. Not once did she let me down in any way and she said made me feel so excited, happy and calm but I also felt like I had known her for years !! She is very comforting and sweet and just absolutely wonderful to work with! I couldn’t have asked for anything more perfect than her. From the venue itself and all the little details that made even the bigger ones this venue and Paula were top notch and beyond impressive. If you want perfection 1890 and Paula are it! Thank you for making my dream and vision come to life! I will remember and cherish it all for the rest of my life!

everything went off without a hitch. In addition to being an absolutely beautiful ceremony and reception venue, the staff at 1890 made this the most perfect choice for our wedding. They took care of everything- chairs, set-up, tear down, and were prepared to take care of a possible site flip (into the reception hall) for the ceremony if needed. All we had to do was a decorate and enjoy the day. My bridesmaids and I opted to rent the 1890 house the night before and get ready there the morning of, and I highly recommend this to any bride if they are able to do this as well! One thing that I initially was not totally thrilled about was the requirement to use Brancato's catering for all Saturday weddings at 1890. At first I was a bit disappointed in not being able to choose my own caterer. However, the staff at Brancato's was amazing as well, and everyone knew the kitchen and setup processes perfectly. During our reception, I was relieved to have such an experienced catering staff who made sure everything went smoothly. And the food was great! I would choose 1890 again and again, and recommend it to anyone!

The day was also made spectacular by the staff at 1890. They always were able to answer our questions expeditiously, and be able to provide all of the onsite support to make the planning period along with the wedding day so smooth. We are so thankful that we chose this venue for our big day. Would recommend to anyone!!

mazing on its own. The victorian house is sooo beautiful with unmatched charm and it has ample getting ready space for the ladies. The dudes aren't left out; they had an awesome groom's quarters where they played pool and Mario Kart. No other venue we toured provided the same level of space to get ready, on top of the other spaces included. It was important to me to have an outdoor ceremony space, and I love Eighteen Ninety's, with an aisle leading from the house to the arbor. The elegant reception hall is just a hop, skip, and jump away from the ceremony space, making a great backup plan in case of poor weather. We love how no one had to shuttle around to different locations between photo spots, ceremony, and reception. Regarding the beauty of their venue, I mean the photos speak for themselves. Their service and team are top-notch. When we chose to postpone, I dreaded reaching out to my vendors about rescheduling. Eighteen Ninety completely understood and made it easy. I was very lucky in that I managed to keep all my vendors for our rescheduled date. The team also worked with me in scheduling on-site meetings and video calls since I was an out-of-town bride. Katie was communicative and patient with me as a made decisions. Our guest count was less than expected given a recent spike in COVID cases, and Katie worked with me to edit the floor plan last minute. Weddings are their bread and butter and it shows with the team's knowledge and expertise. They are not wedding planners nor day-of coordinators, but at the same time, they are there to help and assist.

As a Type A bride, I had so many questions and needed a lot of flexibility from 1890 because of covid-19, and they were so fabulous to work with! They were so accommodating and sweet to me as I stressed so much about having to change our date. You can tell Paula really loves her venue and her brides even more, and Katie was super helpful in making sure all the details were recorded and taken care of. The indoor venue hall is beautifully modern and traditional at the same time, allowing flexibility for your vision. I love all their details - the decorated bar, the fireplace in the wall, the back patio for smokers and a fireplace out there, the outdoor bar that’s perfect for an outdoor cocktail hour - nothing else has blown me away more than 1890. I still have people (almost 6 months after my wedding!) who tell me how amazing my venue was and how much they love it. I don’t regret a SINGLE thing about booking 1890 for the best day of my life, and I will sing their praises forever! If you’re on the fence, book a tour. I PROMISE you will not regret it!

ity. I didn't want a country wedding, but I also didn't want an "over the top" venue either. This fit so well with our guests - black tie or jeans - we had the whole shebang. Booking and touring the location was a breeze. The crew is so transparent, accommodating, and insightful about how to make your planning process and wedding day seamless from the start. All along the way, they were there to answer our questions, coordinate with vendors, and take as much off of our plate as possible. They are truly incredible and professional with every detail. When it came to wedding day, we didn't have to lift a finger. Set-up was a breeze (they were helpful with that), and wedding day details fell perfectly into place like magic. When the rain came and moved us inside - there was NO hesitation with rearranging our guests indoors ; it made for the most elegant and intimate ceremony. Our vendors were beyond pleased to work with the 1890 crew, my family was so appreciative of how much they did for us throughout the entire process, and my husband and I were overjoyed with how perfect our day was because of this venue. The Fields is quiet, private, and extremely intimate. Our guests still to this day have so many wonderful things to say about the venue. Multiple options for set up indoors and out - and an endless amount of photo opportunities around the property. The groom and bridal suites are the perfect area for relaxing and getting ready and make for a quaint place to relax before the big day! Paula and her husband are outstanding owners. They are wonderful to any and all who inquire. Definitely worth the investment - it has gone far beyond our wedding day and we are so pleased. I would recommend this venue 100x over.

fter stepping foot at The Fields, we ruined that pact by looking at each other half way through the tour and nodding yes. Before the left that day, we asked for the contract to sign. It was the perfect mix of already decorated and neutral slate to add in your own touches. We could have done nothing to the space and it would have been perfect. The farmhouse tables are a rarity at most venue which saves on linens, but they do require a Day of Coordinator (we had already budgeted for one). This is necessary due to the fact that there are two venues at the property so the managing staff is between two weddings. Although there are two venues and many times two weddings happening at the same time, they are very separate and it doesn't interfere with your day. I cannot imagine being married anywhere else. Thank you for the perfect day!

The reception hall is GORGEOUS with beautiful chandeliers that don’t need a whole lot of decor but you can put your own spin on! So many guests commented on the beauty of the venue! The greenery, fields, white fences, Victorian house, red barn, brick cocktail area, gravel road and reception hall all make for amazing pictures. Paula, the owner, and her staff are absolutely amazing! We had to reschedule our wedding that was supposed to be in May due to covid-19. That day was still special to us and we wanted to get married not knowing if our rescheduled date was going to happen amidst the ongoing pandemic. Paula was gracious enough to let us use the venue on our original date to have our pastor marry us with a close group of friends! She seriously went above and beyond to accommodate us and I am forever grateful! Sweetest person ever! Then come our rescheduled wedding date, Paula and her staff, Katie and team were in constant communication leading up to our day and dealt with my mini panic attacks in regards to cutting our guest count and final details! They catered to my high maintenance requests of chairs spaced, vendors in masks, provided hand sanitizer and stunning gold canisters to put at each table for guests to help social distance and stay germ free! Her team helped the day go by so smoothly! The boys LOVED the grooms house where they enjoyed playing pool and kicking back with some drinks. The Victorian house is where us girls got ready and had plenty of rooms and lighting for great pictures! We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and team for our big day! I highly recommend Eighteen Ninety for your special day! Such a stunning venue and a rockstar team who truly care about you and making your day perfect!
