1908 Grand hosts religious and non-religious ceremonies as well as elopements, civil unions, second weddings, and vow renewals. Additionally, this venue accommodates receptions in opulent style. Your wedding booking will include the full use of this venue for six hours, along with a one-hour ceremony rehearsal before your wedding. Getting married in April, we wanted an indoor venue- ceremony and reception, and The 1908 was the perfect size to accommodate our 125 count guest list. The venue is gorgeous and sets the tone for an old Florida romance theme - it screams elegance. Everywhere you look in this building, you will find a beautiful detail, from the exquisite chandeliers to the doorknobs. We felt that you didn't need much decoration, for the building stood independently. While the building is impressive, the team behind The 1908 is fantastic. This team worked very hard to help produce the wedding of our dreams, and it was delivered. Always there to answer a question and to help with ideas. We are incredibly thankful to them! Especially when our cocktail hour had to be moved inside because of a thunderstorm - it felt like it was planned all along. Gainesville is very fortunate for this building to be restored and brought back to life. It is truly a wonderful setting with beautiful people - we had the wedding of our dreams!
