Greetings and welcome. 1st Day Wedding Service is an officiant located in Bardstown, KY. Congratulations! You're getting married. I am (Rev.) Michael Seger. Thank you for coming to my storefront. I am an ordained Catholic Priest with a progressive and inclusive Catholic Tradition. I believe everyone has the right to celebrate their marriage regardless of who they love. I have a unique gift to create customized weddings for couples from different Christian faith traditions, non-Christian and spiritual backgrounds. My goal is to make your first day of marriage one to be remembered for years to come. Below are a few options for your wedding. First: A Service that is Simple and to the Point. This service would be similar to the one before a “Justice of the Peace,” but may be celebrated in other locations and settings. No rehearsal is required. Instruction will be provided on the day of the wedding by the minister. Second: A traditional type of wedding service that can be customized It can include a wedding procession and welcome readings from sacred scripture, or other readings that are meaningful to you. The wedding is designed with you in mind and includes elements that have personal meaning to you. This service is for couples from any religious tradition, non-religious or spiritual background. Third: There's a Christian wedding service that includes a Communion Service (Liturgy of Eucharist) This option, like option two, includes Communion Service. All baptized Christians may receive communion. This service may be suitable for divorced Catholics who wish to remarry, and Catholics who want a Catholic Service at another location other than the Church. It is also for other Christians from Churches that have frequent Communion Services (Eucharist). The location and site for the service are based on the judgment of the couple in consultation with the minister. Any aspect of the services mentioned above can be customized to your needs and desires. I am very flexible and open to your suggestions. I want to make your first day of marriage to be remembered for years to come.
