All communication was done with, I think, the owner via Wedding Wire messenger so I wasn't really sure who I was actually talking with. Response times, however, were quick so that was nice. I went in for my hair trial not knowing who I was meeting with but Hali turned out to be great! I showed her some inspo photos and she did a great job. She brought another girl with her on the day of the wedding and everyone's hair turned out beautiful. Hali was so nice and chill, it was a relief knowing we were in good hands.

In December 2020 we decided to postpone until April 2022 and 2143 was again very responsive and easy to reschedule with. As a covid bride I cannot express the amount of appreciation I have for my vendors flexibility and understanding. I reached out to schedule my trials in February 2022 and this is when my experience started to go slightly down. The email responses to getting my trial set up took over a week. Then my first scheduled trial was rescheduled for the following week due to illness on their end. The second scheduled trial I had my make up trial and loved it, but for my hair was again rescheduled for a week out due to illness on their end again. I understand things happen outside of our control and I was in no way mad at 2143, but frustrated at the situation. My initial email to schedule the trial was February 9th, because of these setbacks I didn't have my trial until March 16th and my wedding was April 2nd. At the hair trial the young stylist was extremely sweet and friendly, and I did have a more difficult request of a vintage-y or pin-up style up do. While she tried her best she was struggling a lot. The end product looked nothing like what I asked for, didn't look good, and was falling out within an hour or so of getting home. The manager had come to help with the last part of my hair so she had seen the mess that the rest was, and seen that it looked nothing like the photos and said nothing. I recognize my mistake here is that I should have spoken up at the trial and that's on me, but I thought maybe I was just over reacting. After sending pictures to a few bridesmaids it was clear that I was not. After thinking for a few days I emailed the salon on March 20th letting them know I had been unhappy and asked if they could send me photos of previous up dos the stylist had done so I could pick something that she was more familiar with. I had not heard back from them by March 22, I reached out again and cancelled the hair portions of my contract. Due to my experience I would not recommend 2143 for hair. However, Sydney and Allison were fun make up artist and upbeat the wedding morning while we got ready. Also, I greatly appreciate 2143's understanding in changing the contracts and cancelling last minute.

er roughly an hour in. After showing the owner my pictures she proceeded to fix my hair. It didn't look bad. However, looked NOTHING like my pictures, and fell less than 2hours later. The original stylist stated how much this looked better than my pics anyway. My Mother then had her hair trial. When she was finished she looked as if she was getting ready to clean her house. No exaggeration. This is NOT a bridal salon, and I beg all brides to stay away! This was the only thing I wanted to go smoothly, and was so unbelievable bad I had to get my refund back which I had no issues getting. No way should I have paid for this trial, but I was so disappointed and upset I just didn't want to deal with is at the time. All reviews were completed at the same time after our wedding due to the fact that I was busy planning a wedding/reception, getting married, and on my honeymoon. In addition to finding a new salon last minute who was in fact able to complete exactly what I wanted based on my pictures shown. If your salon did not possess these skills perhaps it should have been mentioned at the beginning when I showed the stylist the pictures. I would like to address the "full refund" statement made by the owner as incorrect. I was refunded my deposit. I did however pay the full amount for my Mother's, and my hair and makeup trials. Although the makeup trial was not a disaster I did NOT receive a refund for our hair trials therefore a "full refund" is an inaccurate statement. I did not complete a bad review to be spiteful, or hateful. I did it for one reason alone. To inform other brides of my experience. This is in fact the purpose of reviews.
