We recently had our wedding at 24 Shelby, and I honestly can’t say enough great things about this venue!
We had 240 guests and still had plenty of space. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and their technology, screens, lighting, and sound system are hands-down the best I’ve ever seen at a wedding venue. Everything looked and sounded incredible.
There was plenty of parking, which was a huge plus for a downtown Indianapolis venue. The bar staff was fantastic — attentive, friendly, fun, and yes, very attractive! They kept everything moving smoothly all night and took great care of our guests.
We worked with Sarah during the booking process, and she was awesome from beginning to end. Ashlie handled our day-of coordination and was worth every single cent. Having her there allowed us to actually enjoy our wedding instead of worrying about all the little details. Both Sarah and Ashlie were incredibly easy to work with and made the entire experience better. Sarah gave us recommendations for a caterer, videographer, and wedding cake. We used her contacts, received a discount and were very pleased with all of her referals.
And the bridal suite is TO DIE FOR. Seriously, it’s amazing.
If you're looking for a wedding venue in downtown Indianapolis that can comfortably handle a large wedding, has incredible technology and sound, great staff, plenty of parking, and a beautiful atmosphere, 24 Shelby is it.

Built in 1898 as the bottling house of the Home Brewing Company, 24 Shelby is the only surviving pre-Prohibition brewery structure in Indianapolis, IN. The original brick walls, exposed beam ceilings, and oversized windows still define the space, and after a full 2025 renovation, this veteran-owned, woman-owned venue pairs 127 years of story with a modern shine. Two grand halls, the Rosewood Room get-ready suite, the Libations Lounge, and the Prohibition Patio stand ready for you to make your own slice of history.
Wedding Day Delight
Host your ceremony and reception across 6,000 square feet on a single, accessible level. The two grand halls — including the Edison Room, glowing under strings of warm Edison bulbs — can be left open for loud and lavish or divided with elegant custom draping for something more intimate. Seated dinners welcome up to 250 guests, and a cocktail-style setting raises capacity to 342 — so quick, tell 92 more of your loved ones the good news.

With more than 20 years of events experience and over 1,000 celebrations brought to life, they know how to throw a party worthy of a bygone era — full of sparkle, elegance, and moments that will live on forever.
What's Included
Your rental gives you the venue from 8am until midnight, so there's time to set up, celebrate, and pack out without watching the clock. Our custom-built 8'x3' wood banquet tables, catering tables, and chairs come with the space at no additional fee. We're an open-vendor venue — bring the caterer and the food you want — and our prep kitchen offers sinks, refrigeration, and counter space to keep service moving. Bar service is provided in house.
Rates start at $3,995 for weekday dates, $4,495 on Sunday, $5,995 on Friday, and $7,495 on Saturday (holidays excluded).

Before this, I bartended all over Indy for 15+ years. Managed a speakeasy. Sold roofs. Did insurance. Trained people at the gym. A little bit of everything. But events is where everything clicked. I saw what this space could be before the walls came down. I personally took apart the old stage over several days - pulled the nails out, stacked the wood in the corner. When I finished, I took a deep breath and thought: this is actually happening. 24 Shelby is 6,000+ sq ft of original brick, exposed wood-beam ceilings, oversized windows, and Edison string lights. Up to 250 seated, 300+ standing. The only surviving pre-Prohibition brewery building in Indianapolis. Veteran-owned - my brother Josh is a Marine, and that's not a checkbox. It's a big deal to me. Woman-owned - also a big deal. Here's what I believe: guests don't care about 90% of the details people stress over. They care about the energy, the flow, the drinks, and the food. A beautiful room means nothing if the bar has a 20-minute wait. So I focus on vibe and function, not just selling the space.
