2941 Restaurant was our wedding venue and I could not recommend them more strongly. Reasons: - The food! Delicious. Truly the same quality as any night out at a high-end restaurant. For goodness sake they asked each person who ordered one how they wanted their steak cooked. Everyone raved about it (especially the passed apps!) - my best friend said it was the best food he’d had at ANY event and he hadn’t even known it was possible for food to be that good at a large function. Their cocktails are great too! - The service. The kind of dinner service you don’t even get at most nice restaurants. The room was fully prepped on time. Each course was served to all 115 guests almost simultaneously. The waiters were gracious and attentive. The coffee was served with steamed milk. They were also conscientious and accommodating about dietary restrictions (double checking about possible allergies, asking if the vegan guest wanted sorbet). - The coordination. Ivana was our venue coordinator and it was a delight to work with her. Throughout prep she always answered questions quickly and clearly. The flat-fee structure for the venue rental also meant we never felt nickled & dimed. 2941 also has an efficient process locked down from decades of experience. - Convenience: by booking 2941 I had the venue, ceremony location, banquet furniture, china, crystal, linens, dance floor, food, drinks, and dessert solved - huge simplification! - Cost-effectiveness: The place is already so beautiful I barely had any decorating costs. The fee for everything listed above was sooo reasonable (and the convenience easily made up for any premium), and the food tasted so much more expensive than it was. My wedding was pretty much perfect and choosing 2941 Restaurant was a big part of that.

We are so happy that we went with 2941 Restaurant for our venue (for both the ceremony and reception). The venue is SO beautiful and the food was AMAZING! So many of our guests said that this was the best wedding that they ever went to and a large part of that is due to 2941. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the main dining room (overlooking the trees and lake) look so lovely - so much so that we didn’t feel the need to spend too much money on huge table centerpieces. The outside area is beautiful for photos, with a few waterfalls, ponds and a large lake. The event staff was wonderful and everything went smoothly and according to our timeline. Over the course of the year leading up to our wedding day, Michelle accommodated all of our needs as we prepared for the wedding (and even very last-minute changes) and was so helpful. On the actual wedding day, Sam made sure that everything was perfect. The food was so delicious and the presentation for all of it was so beautiful - so much nicer than what we would have had with a regular caterer. We cannot recommend 2941 enough!

Even with an indoor ceremony, which was plan B due to the rainy/windy weather, we had still had a beautiful back drop of floor to ceiling windows facing the koi pond and waterfall. I thought the indoor wedding would really bring down the whole event, but it didn’t at all. The food was great, they cake the restaurant designed was fantastic (looking and tasting). The staff really paid attention to every detail. Most importantly our guests had a great time. They were blown away by the service and quality. I was told many times, just how memorable and “fancy” of an event this was. Cost was a huge factor for me and I wouldn’t say that 2941 is a budget wedding venue by any means, but we did feel very satisfied with what we got for the money we paid. DC is a hard place to have a budget wedding unless you sacrifice quality and that wasn’t something we were willing to do. Their planner, Michelle, is very upfront about costs, and will lay out all options for you. I would say those watching their budgets should reach out to 2941 for more information, especially if you’re having a smaller wedding.

and everyone had a great time. I did not have a day of coordinator but absolutely did not need one. Everything ran seamlessly at the event. I didn't have to do a thing but enjoy the night. I truly could not have been happier with this venue and I love that my husband and I can go there on anniversaries and remember what an amazing experience we had there on our wedding day.

The wedding coordinator Michelle was very helpful and worked with us on step by step of the process for every single details. The on-site manager Jeff was extremely nice and helpful. He saved us few times by providing services outside of our contracts. We did some mistake on table arrangement, and the staff were really nice and helped resolve the issue without the guests noticing it. When the wind blown away our flower arrangement on the terrace, They offered us the restaurant flowers to replace them. We have received so many compliments on the food and drinks from our guests. We wanted a nice outdoor view plus elegant reception with good food and 2941 has it all. In addition, the location is very close to the city and there is a nice Marriott hotel across the street for the out of town guests.

e wanted to get married. Our outdoor ceremony on the patio and indoor reception were both stunning. Outside we felt like we were miles away from the city and the beltway, surrounded by water, waterfalls, and greenery! Inside the restaurant was a beautiful venue for our dinner and dancing reception. Michelle was a pleasure to work with; she accommodated our need for gluten-free menus as well as some of our last minute changes and requests. Most importantly, the food was fabulous - many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding food they had ever had. We look forward to returning to 2941 Restaurant for anniversary dinners in the future!

s romantic and scenic; the price point is reasonable for the quality; and the food is, of course, top-notch. (This was a big deal to us because we are foodies.) 2941 is highly experienced at handling events. On our wedding day, the event flow was seamless. Our guests were blown away by the venue, the food, and the service. Our only problem with 2941 is that they have VERY strict rules for events. For example, we were not permitted access to our space until 4 p.m. for a 5:30 p.m. wedding. 2941 charges an additional fee if you do not use one of their "preferred vendors." We felt that their options were limited and decided it was worth it to us to incur the extra expense. They also require all vendors be insured (even florists, which surprised us). Unfortunately, this was only mentioned in the fine print of the contract and we missed it. One week before our wedding, 2941 told us that they needed documentation of her insurance or else we would be liable if there were any damages. This put us into a panic because our florist was not insured. That being said, we are on cloud nine about our wedding... we couldn't have imagined a more beautiful, romantic, and delicious way to start our marriage. We are elated with our choice of venue. As long as you review their policies carefully and feel comfortable with them... I'd say go for it!!! :)

beat 2941. The location is truly breathtaking, our guests are still raving about food, and the service was flawless. We worked with Erika, the event planner for 2941. Erika was incredibly friendly, professional, prompt, responsive, and detail-oriented. All that a bride could want from the event planner at her venue. Erika accommodated every request we had and responded to every question I had promptly. In addition, everybody we had contact with in the restaurant, from the valets, our event planner Erika, the staff who worked on our wedding night and Brian who was the manager on duty for our wedding, provided truly impeccable service. The staff boxed up the meals that were leftover from no-shows without anybody asking them to. They substituted appetizers for a few guests even though they didn't have to. We asked the valets not to take any money from our guests (we gave them a gratuity) and indeed they did not take money from none of our guests. We did not experience any additional charges, and everything in the contract was respected. 2941 really delivered when it counted. It is an expensive venue, but it was worth every penny to us. From NOT being a source of any stress during the planning or the wedding itself, to providing outstanding food and service, and contributing significantly to an incredible wedding, 2941 was priceless to us.

he one hitch I did have was after I had booked & put down a deposit based on the corporate menu (with a waived site fee), the event planner then sent me the $17/person more expensive "wedding menu." The food was more ornate/fancy, but not in my budget! When I wrote back, she sent me the correct menus with a note apologizing & saying that the menus were new & they've found that most brides prefer them. Within a month of the wedding, the event planner Michelle was really good about working with me to fit my budget and add small touches to get up to my contractually obligated food budget. Overall, if I were going to have a big wedding again, I would book them again. The pictures are fabulous & the food was awesome.

ey changed the rules mid-way through the process in a way that clearly benefited them. They were unapologetic and tried to blame us for their errors. Their poor customer service can best be exemplified by their apparent belief that the customer is always wrong. It got so bad that I broke down at work and had to explain what was happening to a few of my co-workers. After hearing what we had been put through it was promptly suggested that we consider seeking legal action against the restaurant. Wedding planning should never come to this. Save yourself the trouble and avoid 2941 at all costs. At least until they overhaul the event staff.
