itial meetings with Chris were very positive. He was very prepared to MC the event and keep us on schedule, and we utilized an app to share our timeline and special song requests. I had a little bit of concern when he didn't seem to understand a couple of my asks via email, but nothing to make me reconsider him as a vendor. We booked Chris for 2 nights, one of which was a Pakistani event. He was not an expert in that music, but was comfortable to work with a song list we provided. The music that night was great, and he mixed Bollywood & American music as we requested. He was also very helpful during our ceremony rehearsal and offered to play the music for our processional. I wasn't expecting him to do that and it was appreciated. However things went south during our choreographed Bollywood dance performances. Chris had cut a single performance track together for us, and when the time came he did not have the track downloaded. On 3 separate occasions he started the music only to have it cut out ~30 seconds in. It took at least 5-10 minutes of the entire room sitting and waiting for the music to play and I was so frustrated at that point. It took a groomsman helping out to finally get the music going. Apparently the whole DJ setup was running on WiFi. I'm not sure why that track was not downloaded as Chris had cut it himself, and in the future I'd recommend ALL special tracks (first dance, any performances, etc) be downloaded. Then to top it all off, he walked in front of our videographer's camera during the same performance. I can only hope that there's another angle from the hand held camera that can makeup for what was covered. Chris also brought his fiancee to the event with him without my knowledge. I'm not sure if she was assisting him or if she ate, but I sure would have appreciated an ask or even just heads up for catering purposes. Our second night started fine and both the ceremony music and dinner music was fine. Unfortunately, the very first song to kick off the dancing was an artist on my do not play list (sorry Black Eyed Peas!). I had also been very specific that I wanted no more than 1.5-2 minutes of a song to play before beat mixing the music and moving on, and I was stuck listening to full cuts of songs all night. My final complaint is that more often than not, when I saw Chris he was not at the DJ booth but rather standing in front of us trying to get a photo during dinner, standing on a chair to get a dance floor shot, or the likes. I understand that he wanted to post to social media, but I would have MUCH preferred he wait for our professional photos (which I would have happily shared) or only take his own from the DJ booth. All that to say, Chris was a really sweet guy and I wish we had been happier. If you have a simple DJ ask or a DJ is not a high priority for you, Chris would probably be just fine.

awless and our reception was even better! Chris really got everyone up and dancing and having a wonderful time. He was also an amazing emcee and kept us moving along right on schedule. My mom just happened across his vendor profile during the planning process and decided to contact him and we were happy from the start! Chris is great and easy to work with and really brought our whole night together in such a wonderful way. We are still receiving compliments on how fun the evening was! We would highly recommend Chris and 3VP to anyone looking for an excellent DJ for their event!
