lessons (45 min each) to practice our wedding first dance. The cost is reasonable given the level of attention and expertise you receive. The studio is warmly lit, clean, organized and comfortable. Our instructor was Daria (aka Dasha), who was beyond excellent. We are beginner level dancers and she was patient with us and a great teacher. We decided to attempt a choreographed routine and dance the entire 3.5 minute song. You may need fewer lessons if you are going to dance less time or are more experienced. Dasha taught us step by step, introducing small additions to each class and practicing what we already learned. At first it all seemed overwhelming and we weren't sure we would be able to do it. But with practice, each week we noticed improvements and by the end we were confident that we would be able to perform the routine to the best of our ability. 375 Dance Studio has two studios within, a large one and a smaller private one. We took our lessons in the private studio so there were no distractions and we didn't need to feel self-conscious dancing in front of strangers. By the end, we were dancing in the large studio with other people around and we didn't even notice. We saw all types of dancers there, of all ages and skill levels. Everyone was learning different types of dances. On the day of our wedding, our first dance went better then we could have hoped. It was a total surprise to our guests and they were really enthusiastic about it afterwards. Two bits of advice if you are considering going down this path. First, allow yourselves plenty of time before your wedding. Do not leave this until the last minute. We started our lessons with 3 months to go before our wedding and this gave us plenty of time to become comfortable with the routine and work out the kinks. Second, the instructors are excellent, but in the end you have to perform the dance, not them. So practice as much as you can in between the lessons. We practiced at home as often as we could find the time. We took a big chance trying something that is really outside our normal skill-set. But during the process, we had a lot of fun together, and the end result was an awesome memorable experience. If you are considering taking lessons for your wedding, 375 Dance Studio is a terrific place to do it. No one is pushy, they are kind and understanding and just want to help you achieve your set goals. Good luck and happy dancing!
