A lot of our favorite songs are not dance beats, but Con worked so many of them into cocktail hour & dinner for us instead. He was so helpful with microphones & audio for the ceremony, speeches, and for my bridesmaid singing our first dance song--everyone was able to hear every part of the event. Con and Gary were so organized in our planning calls and had really great ideas to help us iron out some of the details (like the floorplan & the schedule), and they were clearly so invested in helping us have a fantastic wedding. Con also did a great job of going with the flow and adapting when the schedule did not go as we had planned. I would highly recommend Con and 74 events to anyone looking for a wedding DJ. He understood the vibe we wanted, didn't judge us for our taste in music, and truly made it a magical night.

He was the perfect MC throughout the night bringing awesome energy and tunes throughout cocktail hour and dinner. James was also a very gracious and understated MC, who was able to get our guests' attention effortlessly and stylishly. After so much loss and time apart during the height of Covid-19, thank you Gary and Dan for helping us bring the joy and celebration to our special day.

We gave Ben an extensive list of "must-plays" which he completely stuck to- and beyond that kept the vibe completely ours. To say Ben got everyone dancing is an understatement...Our ceremony ended at 8:30pm and we jumped into partying right away. The dance floor was FULL from then, through the countdown at midnight- until 1:30am when the party ended (and people probably would have kept dancing if he had kept playing). We never sat down for dinner! Ben is great because he has the ability to keep the party feeling festive and keeping all moments on track without feeling too "in-your-face" and inauthentic. I can't recommend Ben or 74 Events more highly. All of my friends want him to DJ their weddings. This will be your easiest wedding decision.

I didn't have a wedding planner, so Gary and Jim also helped us with our wedding timelines. On the day, Jim also served as Emcee to help move everything along like the speeches, etc. Jim did an excellent job at adapting the music to how our guests were responding -- we had given him a range of song ideas from all different genres: 70s disco, 90s pop, modern hits. He really did a great job at picking the best songs for our guests and kept them on the dance floor all night. So many people told us they never danced as hard as they did at our reception! Our venue allowed us to stay until 1am, and 74 Events were also accommodating there. Jim kept us going right until our venue closed up. We're so thankful to the 2 of them and highly recommend 74 Events for your day!

One of the great things about working with 74 Events was that Rob and Gary have a close relationship with many venues throughout the NYC area. They knew our venue very well and it made for a smooth working relationship and day of experience. This is a nice perk, but certainly not a necessity. They will work tirelessly to make sure all details are taken care of, regardless of the venue. We definitely recommend using 74 Events for your wedding!! He's very good at "reading" the crowd- he made sure there was something for everyone while still staying true to mine and my husband's musical taste. 10/10!

From my initial outreach to the big day of, Gary and Dan ensured that every single detail of their work was sorted out and taken care of. Working with them, it took any and all stress out of the equation, and left our only concern to be to ENJOY! From the perfectly arranged ceremony music, to the cocktail hour’s “musical pregame”, to the on cue traditional dances, and the let-loose dance beats through the rest of the night... He kept the dancing going perfectly all night. He made the announcements at the right times and it doesn't hurt that he's got a super cool accent! For the first dance, mother son, and father daughter dances, he played the songs for just the right length of time! As for mixing up the dance songs, he hit all the right energy levels and choruses at the best times of the night. He even seamlessly took a few requests and integrated them into the night. One of the most impressive things was that he had my college fight song ready on hand. In our meeting I told him that it was unnecessary because I didn't envision it being played. But then one of our guests requested it for a Notre Dame picture gathering and it was one of the highlights of the night when he played it. So I was really impressed that he took it upon himself to have that ready! My wife and I are now looking for any excuse we can get to throw another party just so we can have James come DJ again! Truly the best.

He is very quick and thorough to respond through e-mail and when we met with him and the DJ he recommended for us (Aaron) I could tell he is extremely organized. Since I am a total type A it was great to have a vendor I could fully put my trust in. As for the main event (the wedding) Aaron totally killed it. The dancefloor was full all night from people ages 30 to 70+. He played music that all generations know or recognize but it wasn’t overly corny wedding music. Most importantly, he was able to ‘read the room’ and played all different genres which had different groups of people flowing to and from the dancefloor all night. What I also loved is he checked in with us a few times throughout the night to make sure we were happy with what he was playing. Our overall experience with 74 events was great from our initial inquiry down to the last song of our wedding night.
