We’re so glad that Gary matched us with Preston. When we had our first call with Preston to chat about our idea, we knew that we could trust him for our wedding. He paid attention to the energy of our guests and knew what songs to play throughout the evening. All our guests enjoyed the vibe and had such a great time. Preston even had a couple of our aunties staying until the end of the night because they were enjoying the dance floor!

From the moment that we began planning our wedding and decided to work with 74 events, Gary (the owner of 74 Events) made the entire process seamless and stress-free. 74 Events was on our venue’s preferred vendor list. After our first conversation with Gary, we could see that he was extremely professional, organized, and responsive, which made us feel confident with selecting them for our wedding. We were very impressed with how quickly we heard back from Gary and how easy it was to get answers to our questions. We were also able to lean on Gary and James’ years of expertise when figuring out some final details for our wedding, which we greatly appreciated. James did an absolutely impeccable job curating the music for the evening. He was able to work with our wide variety of musical tastes and list of favorite artists and effortlessly weaved them all in throughout the evening. James truly exceeded our expectations and we could not be any happier. There was something for everyone and the dance floor was packed. Everyone was raving about James! Having the right music at a wedding is so important and James nailed it. He did an amazing job reading the crowd and all of the transitions between songs were flawless. Thank you, Gary and James, for helping us have such an amazing wedding.

Our DJ was phenomenal, but the process of finding him was not. Gary is very passionate about his team and often talked over us, and would keep on talking instead of hearing about our event. I spoke for not even 5 minutes on a 30-minute call. This was patronizing and it continued when he nudged us to fill out the music worksheet like it was a grade school assignment and gave us a 10-minute lecture on how to use a microphone. The DJs had no problem playing our short list of customary songs, but Gary suggested we cut most of this. This was especially off-putting because we were talking to the DJ, who had no problem with our list, and Gary would interrupt. He made it clear that his value was in his extensive roster of DJs and in case that wasn’t clear, there are 3 sentences in red all caps lettering in the worksheet that he was to receive a separate check for his services. We were sent 3 DJs: the 1st became unavailable, the 2nd got sick before the event, and the 3rd was our actual DJ. We liked all 3, but they all had different styles. Despite planning for months with the 2nd and with his extensive roster, we were not sent any options and Gary only set up 5 minutes with us to discuss the replacement, who had a completely different style. Thankfully, this DJ was adaptable and adjusted the vibe for our crowd. Most importantly, he ignored Gary’s suggested cuts and played every single song on our list with many more of his own. Overall, we felt Gary added more grief and I would have much rather worked directly with a DJ, who often have their own backups anyway.

We booked 74 Events to DJ our wedding reception, and overall had a great experience. We worked with Gary to coordinate and Preston was our DJ – both great people with really good energy. Gary is obviously very professional and asks very detailed questions to make sure they’re delivering what you’re asking for. He also provided a guide to help those wedding guests who’d be using a microphone for speeches make sure they came through clearly, and everyone sounded crystal clear on the wedding video. If I had to provide any criticism it would be that we got a ways down the road with this vendor before discovering that their policy is to only allow you to select up to 12 songs that are guaranteed to be played at the reception – everything else is the DJ’s choice. I guess I can understand the logic – it’s like why hire a DJ if you just wanted a playlist? But for weirdo control freaks like my husband and me, it was a little disappointing that we couldn’t curate the experience more. Music is really important to us, and we probably should’ve been much more explicit with the vendor in advance that we had a particular vision for the day, so that may be on us. All in all, I’d still highly recommend working with 74 Events.

Gary + Dan were incredible to work with! They think of everything and are super organized. Absolutely zero headaches. Dan, our DJ, kept the dance floor packed and the energy high. A great experience top to bottom.

Pros: it’s great to work with a vendor that has a pool of DJs. My husband had a medical emergency so we had to reschedule our wedding. Gary, the coordinator was very helpful throughout the process and was able to arrange a new DJ for us because the original Dj we chose was not available for our new date. Cons: the DJ we worked with for our wedding was not attentive to our needs. When we had our first meeting, we explained to him that we are a multicultural couple and we wanted that to be reflected in our wedding through music. He asked us to create a Spotify playlist with songs we like and he would make a mix out of that. A day before our wedding, he told us that he would be playing directly from the playlist we had put together which completely threw us off, because that’s not what we understood during our initial conversation. We were very disappointed with how Gary removed himself from this, because there was clearly a misunderstanding and as the coordinator, whom we had worked with and also talked to about our expectations, we were hoping that he would jump in and help clear things up on both ends. Even after the wedding, Gary didn’t reach out to us for feedback. The DJ played afrobeats only at our wedding, even though we provided him with different genres, causing our guests who aren’t familiar with this genre to feel left out. And to add salt to injury, he played the wrong song for our first dance…. We were gutted but we had to play it off. If we had to do this over again, we would not work with this company. It was the only thing that went wrong at our wedding.

Gary is possibly the most detail oriented vendor of everyone we hired. If you have a call at 4pm he's calling you at 4pm on. the. dot. Our whole experience was seamless, both Gary and our entire catering/coordinator staff talked up our DJ Daniel to the point where I was going to be amazed if he lived up to the hype. And then he did. Incredible folks I'd recommend them for any party.

Preston was AMAZING. He read the room perfectly and knew exactly how to keep people on their feet. Our guests raved about him.

DJ Justin Raymond from 74 Events could not have been a better DJ for our wedding. People were on the dance floor all night long and he perfectly introduced our wedding speeches and dances. 74 Events was so easy to work with and would definitely recommend them and Justin.

74 Events was a hit at our wedding. Gary was a gem to work with, he was on top of all communication and coordination b/w us and the DJ. DJ Vida was incredible, we could not be happier with her. Our guests were wowed by her DJ prowess. We gave her some but not a lot of guidance on what to play. We gave her much leeway and she read the room and played to our guests. They were on their feet the entire evening! 74 Events are professionals and we highly recommend them.

74 Events was the best vendor I worked with for my wedding. Gary was extremely professional and responsive, and offered advice for how the day would best flow. Gary was so organized and I didn’t feel like I had to keep reconfirming details with him. James was our DJ and he was also great. My guests were dancing all night. He understood our music taste and played to it, while also reading the crowd. James is not a DJ that just wants to hear themselves talk on the mic all night. Thanks for everything Gary and James!

We really enjoyed working with 74 Events for our wedding ceremony and reception. Gary was extremely communicative and straightforward throughout the planning phase and made sure nothing fell through the cracks. I felt very confident going into the wedding. Pricing was well within our budget. On the wedding day, DJ James arrived early, did a sound check with our officiant and readers and provided an extra wireless microphone for our vows. During dinner, music was not too loud so people could chat, but loud enough that it was fun! DJ James seamlessly managed our first dance, toasts, cake cutting and other important moments during the reception. He played music that kept us on the dance floor for the whole evening! So glad we found 74 Events, look no further!

Rob was our DJ and he was incredible. People were dancing all night and he just understood the vibe. Gary was so organized and easy to work with. Our wedding venue and date changed due to a closure and they were so accommodating. Highly recommend Rob and 74 events!!

Highly recommend 74 Events. Gary was an expert at coordinating things in the lead up to the day and helped us find the perfect DJ for our wedding. We wanted someone who knew not just US but also Latin American music since our wedding would be a mix of guests from different cultures. DJ Dan Chaves did an amazing job at our event and kept everyone dancing with a full range of hits from Latin America and the US. We loved it.

From the first time talking with Gary, we knew that we were going to go with 74 Events - he is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and knew the intricacies of our venue which wasn’t a “traditional” venue. He really heard what we were saying and gave us a few options for DJ’s to choose from. We ultimately went with Joel as our DJ and couldn’t have been happier with him! From our first conversation we clicked, he understood what we wanted and we learned that he use to work at one of the bars I frequented during my college years so that was a done deal. He has our guests on the floor all night dancing and singing their hearts out and we got so many compliments on the music! During our final meeting with Gary and Joel, we walked through our survey which was very detailed and included things like songs we needed to hear, a do not play list, names of speech givers, how we wanted to be announced, etc. Gary made really helpful suggestions based on his knowledge of our venue that we went with and unsurprisingly, made the day that much smoother. Multiple times my husband and I said that we would trust Gary to coordinate our whole lives; he is so calming and buttoned up! He also sent along a really helpful video that we sent to our friends/family doing readings or speeches that they all found helpful. Joel reviewed our music selections and the day of we got to head our favorite songs and the vibe was amazing all night! Thank you again to again to Gary and Joel!!

Gary Hoffman/74 events was the best choice ever for our wedding! From the moment we met Gary, we knew he was the right fit for us. He is extraordinarily professional and organized, and had a solid plan for us and our music. He set deadlines that helped keep us on track and left no stone unturned. He matched us with a phenomenal DJ (Preston Dugger) who did a spectacular job taking our musical tastes and creating the musical backdrop for our evening. He also connected us with an incredible electric violinist to complement our DJ. We could not have asked for more! If you’re thinking of having a DJ for your wedding, working with Gary and his team is the best way to go, we could not recommend him more!

The whole 74 Events team that we worked with was absolutely amazing! Gary was the most organized vendor that we worked with, always making sure we had everything covered and was as easy to work with as possible. Our DJ was Con, we had an instant connection on our first call, and felt so confidant that he was going to do an amazing job, which is exactly what he delivered! We danced so much, I am still sore 4 days after the wedding day! Con took our playlist requests and built off of them perfectly. All age ranges had a great time thanks to the vibe that Con set. Gary and James, our DJ, were absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding last month. Gary was consistently so helpful and thoughtful in providing guidance to ensure a smooth, well-organized event, and did such a great job in identifying James as the perfect DJ for us. After our first meeting with James earlier this year, we hit it off with him immediately and knew he fully understood the vibe we were going for at our wedding music-wise. He delivered on the day and then some with amazing music that fit our taste and style, and we were thrilled to hear so many people, of various ages, tell us how much they enjoyed the music. Gary and James were both total professionals throughout the whole process and working with them was a total pleasure.

We personally loved working with both Gary and Preston at 74 Events. Gary was super thorough, organized and walked us through everything and gave us the necessary worksheets/work for us to provide for both him and Preston. We appreciated the meetings we did have with Gary as it was instrumental in making sure he paired us with the right DJ, getting everyone on the same page and making sure our wedding went smoothly. Gary provided great insight to us for our ceremony music and gave us suggestions and we ended up changing our processional song to make it more upbeat - which we really appreciated. Preston was AMAZING. He understood our music vibe and played great music throughout the entire wedding (ceremony, mocktail hour and reception). He was very accommodating when we had a few song changes in regards to performances which required switching songs at around 30-45secs, 1 minute, etc. It was also very helpful that we had a meeting with Preston and our wedding coordinator to make sure we were all aligned on the music timing and the run of the entire wedding. He was a great MC in terms of managing our attendees, keeping the vibe upbeat and fun. We gave him our wedding playlist so that he could get our music taste and vibe, and incorporated music that he thought would go well during these times. Overall, we LOVED working with both Gary and Preston and would highly recommend going with 74 Events.

We had Daniel Tipton as our DJ for our wedding in August 2023 at 501 Union and it was absolutely incredible! We received so many compliments about Daniel and had so much fun on the dance floor. Daniel was very helpful in providing suggestions to our cocktail hour playlist and paid great attention to our music styles throughout the night. Gary was very involved from the beginning of the process and provided so many helpful tips to our wedding playlist and timeline; his lightning speed on responding to emails was truly fascinating. My husband and I knew we were in good hands after our initial phone calls with Gary and Daniel. Highly recommend Gary and Daniel to be a part of your big day, you won't regret it!

Loved working with Duane and Gary at 74 Events. Duane was such a good DJ and we got a ton of compliments after the wedding. He was skilled enough to meet the audience where they're at and play the wedding classics, but didn't play anything cringe-y and didn't phone it in. The dancing never stopped. We particularly appreciated that he managed to work in the version of the hora that we prefer in the version of the hora that works best for dancing. We didn't ask him to do that, we weren't expecting it, but he made it happen. Great experience.

We cannot say enough good things about working with 74 Events for our wedding DJ. DJ James Arnold was absolutely amazing and read the room so well throughout the night. Our guests are still talking about what a great DJ we had and how fun the party was. DJ James only made announcements as we asked him to and really set the vibe for the party by looking like he was having a great time himself the entire night. Gary is incredibly organized and made the booking process so easy for us. We said multiple times that we wished all of our vendors could be as organized and on top of things as this company.

Gary and James were absolutely fantastic for our wedding! James was such a pleasure to work with and really listened to what we wanted and then developed that with his own spin into an incredible night of music for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Using 74 Events was the best decision we made for our wedding. I am not a natural talking to vendors or being the one in charge of decisions but from our first conversation with Gary I felt at ease. All of the conversations leading up to the wedding were comfortable and informative and left us feeling more confident than we had before. Constantine was our DJ at the wedding and he was a huge hit with our guests. I had people coming up to me all night telling me how wonderful he was. My favorite thing Con did: I had requested one of my favorite songs during cocktail hour but it didn’t quite fit the vibe of the other songs. He managed to mix this song in a way that fit perfectly and I still want my own copy of that mix! 74 Events was the perfect mix of professional and personable and I will recommend to everybody for everything from now on.

Gary is an incredibly awesome and responsive communicator who's truly dedicated to making your wedding day sound and music the best it can be. From our first conversation with him, we knew we were in great hands. Our DJ Joel and Gary were both super thorough in prepping for the day - understanding which songs we wanted played when and our overall musical interests. They also provided information to our readers/officiant/us on how to best use the mics and it was so helpful. Joel not only was the best under-the-radar MC, he worked with my sister to put together a last minute performance she'd planned, which went off without a hitch. Once the dancing started, people couldn't stay off the dance floor. Joel was AMAZING. He read the room impeccably and always met the crowd where we were, building up momentum for an awesome dance party. So so grateful to Gary and Joel!

We cannot recommend 74 Events enough. Con was really kind, nice, and a patient DJ. He was wonderful. The most spectacular part of working with 74 Events, I must say, was Gary. My husband and I had a venue change (the Boathouse closed) and we were frantically looking for a new venue. Gary was so incredibly patient and kind as we emailed him 100,000 times asking if Con was available on different dates that worked with different venues we were considering. Gary even went so far to volunteer his time (before we signed a contract, mind you) to provide us with insight on each venue we were considering. He gave us an enormous amount of peace of mind. Wow. TRULY do not know what we would have done without Gary. He is the BEST in the business.

74Events made the lead up to and wedding day an absolute dream come true!!! We got married at Brooklyn Winery in BK in March 2023. Gary (the owner) was very organized, thorough, and communicative sharing timelines and expectations leading up to the wedding day and on the actual wedding day. Dan (our DJ) made sure the vibe and sounds of the ceremony, cocktail hour, intros, speeches, and dancing were all on point. We were so happy to choose them as our DJ. What you can expect from the process: intro call/video chat, a thorough questionnaire that helps you select and curate the music vibe and order of your wedding. Both Gary and Dan were professional throughout.

Working with Gary and his team was such an amazing experience. We hired 74 events to DJ our wedding this past December at the Brooklyn Winery and they were outstanding. James, our DJ was fantastic. I can't imagine a better DJ to hire than 74 Events. Between working with Gary on logistics, and our fabulous DJ Aaron, the entire process from start to finish was nothing short of flawless. I absolutely loved working with 74 Events and James ! Everything was so organized and communication was great! Our initial conversation with James was awesome; we talked about music for about two hours haha. Justin was our D.J. for the day and he was absolutely amazing. Gary and Justin helped guide us through all the whole process. Justin made the best dance mix of our favorite songs and we all danced the night away!

Working with Gary and Preston was better than I could have imagined. They were both very professional and knew exactly what needed to be done. The pre-wedding touchpoints were great to make sure that we were aligned, but there were not an excessive amount of touchpoints (as, like every other couple, we were pretty busy, especially in crunch time). The day of, Preston was there early and was ready to go well before the start of the ceremony to make sure there were no delays. Preston’s ability to read the room and play great music to keep the party going is second to none. We received so many compliments on the DJ.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Gary and Duane Harriott! Gary talked us through all the logistics leading up to our big day, which helped us visualize little details, cover things we hadn’t thought of, and feel at ease. Duane was the perfect DJ - everything ran smoothly and our dance party was a smashing success! Everyone was very sore the next day from dancing so much, which is definitely a sign of a great party. 74 Events are fantastic! Gary, the owner, is organized, professional, and very easy to work with. Dan Arlein, our DJ, was also wonderful. He's a super friendly guy and he did a great job mixing some of the more unusual songs that my husband and I really wanted to hear with more crowd-pleasing options. He had every guest up and dancing! We had the pleasure of working with Gary Hoffman and Kris Carver aka DJ Carver The Great for the after party of our wedding. 74 Events was extremely accommodating when it came to planning our setup and special requests. Gary is incredibly responsive and professional. He takes the time to get to know the couple in order to make the best recommendations. Our DJ, Carver, brought the energy and threw the best after party for us. He knew the audience right away and played music that had us all dancing until 2am. So many of our guests were complimentary of Kris and his music selection. I would highly recommend working with 74 Events and Kris Carver for any celebration.

We love Lord Easy! We are so happy that he was on our wedding vendor team. So many of our guests were out on the dance floor, even people who usually do not dance! We were told time and time again by our guests how much they loved him, and how he did a great job catering the music to multiple generations. Since our first conversation, communication with him and Gary was easy, thoughtful, and organized. We never felt that we needed to guide them or worry about the direction and preparation for the day. Day-of setup seemed seamless (at least to us), and Joel was very helpful in setting up sound for the ceremony, which was in a different location than the reception. Overall the experience was great, and we would highly recommend Joel and 74 Events for your wedding!

Gary Hoffman and 74 Events were such an easy decision during our wedding planning process. Gary is approachable, flexible, and communicative, and was SO organized as we worked with them to schedule DJ services for our June 2022 wedding. We were lucky enough to have DJ Dan Chavez spinning throughout the night, and he truly nailed it with a balance of classic hits, top 40’s, and some of our personal favorites. Dan’s calm demeanor was exactly what we wanted for our wedding - we were trying to avoid the cheesy “MC”, line dance type wedding music, and that’s exactly what 74 Events is about: giving you the ultimate dance party that’s focused on the music, dancing, and pure fun. Music was such an important element of our day, especially to my husband who loves EDM, and having truly talented DJs is what sets 74 Events apart from the rest. Don’t hesitate to book them!

We used 74 Events to DJ our wedding and can’t recommend them enough. We immediately felt we were in great hands from our first phone call with Gary. He was extremely organized, professional, and helpful getting everything set up. Absolutely LOVED working with Gary and Dan for our wedding! From our first meeting with Gary we were blown away - he is so on the ball, easy to work with and an excellent communicator. We had to move our wedding 4x due to Covid and Gary was with us every step of the way. Dan totally got the vibe we wanted for our event and all our guests had such a great time. 74 Events & Gary are consummate professionals who throw an incredible party! We heard their DJ Aaron rock our friends wedding and knew we needed to look no further for our own wedding two years later. From the first interaction, Gary and Aaron were considerate, clear, and great listeners. We felt full confidence through the entire planning process and our expectations were shattered with how wonderful Aaron was and how much fun everyone had at our reception! The planning process systems they have in place are marvelously reassuring that you have all of the flexibility you want, but are still supremely confident that everything will go off as planned, which it most certainly did! We would (and enthusiastically do) recommend 74 Events for any and EVERY function, but especially weddings, as the dancing energy at our reception was simply magnificent.

The weekend was better than we could have ever imagined, and James blew everyone’s minds. We can’t count the amount of people that came up to us, either paying huge compliments to the DJ or begging us for a playlist of the songs being played. Gary & Con are amazing!! From the initial onboarding call about 6 months ago, we could tell how incredibly thorough and professional they both are. Gary & Con’s attention to detail is impeccable, they absolutely nailed our expectations and some. On our wedding day, everything was seamless, we had Con set up in 3 locations throughout our venue, and everything came together without a hitch. Con was great throughout the night, he played all the songs we requested and mixed in some absolutely tunes. He never over inserted himself and was truly excellent overall. When we started planning our June 2022 wedding, my now husband quickly suggested we reach out to his friend to get the name of the DJ from the friend's 2019 wedding. He pointed us to 74 Events and we're so glad he did. One call with Gary left us feeling confident that we wanted a 74 Events DJ to be at our wedding. We were paired with Dan Chaves who was a pleasure to work with. He and Gary were responsive and adaptable when we made small changes to our ceremony closer to wedding day. And on our final call Gary asked questions to guarantee they understood our vision for ceremony music. From our 10 minute dance set before dinner to the 2 hours of dancing that closed the night, we were so pleased with the mood Dan set through the music. Hiring Con was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. When we initially reached out to Gary, I honestly didn't have a strong sense of what I was looking for in a DJ, but our introduction call with Con changed that--he described everything I hadn't known I wanted. And he completely delivered on those promises--he was so good at reading the crowd and keeping the dance floor grooving the whole night. A lot of our favorite songs are not dance beats, but Con worked so many of them into cocktail hour & dinner for us instead. He was so helpful with microphones & audio for the ceremony, speeches, and for my bridesmaid singing our first dance song--everyone was able to hear every part of the event. Con and Gary were so organized in our planning calls and had really great ideas to help us iron out some of the details (like the floorplan & the schedule), and they were clearly so invested in helping us have a fantastic wedding. Con also did a great job of going with the flow and adapting when the schedule did not go as we had planned. I would highly recommend Con and 74 events to anyone looking for a wedding DJ. He understood the vibe we wanted, didn't judge us for our taste in music, and truly made it a magical night.

We truly could not have had a better experience working with 74 Events for our wedding! Gary was incredibly easy to work with and very professional; every step of the process was clearly laid out and very organized. Our DJ, Preston, was also wonderful - the set list from our reception was so good, that numerous guests asked us if we could share the playlist in follow up. During the planning process, we gave Preston a general idea of what we were looking for music-wise, and he manifested that vision perfectly, reading the the room throughout the night and creating a perfect vibe.

We worked with Gary and Duane to DJ our wedding and had an excellent experience. Gary is super friendly and organized, and worked with us through the whole process to match us to the right DJ and coordinate logistics. Duane was the perfect DJ for our wedding - He was an absolute professional on the mic during announcements and kept things going smoothly, and he had the dance floor packed with lots of high energy music for the entire night. We gave him a bit of minimal guidance on our tastes and favorite artists ahead of time and he ran with it and put together a full set that reflected us! Both Gary and Duane were fantastic to work with and would recommend them!

Gary Hoffmann and James Arnold were great! They are very professional, listened to all our requests, and I especially appreciated how much time they took to make sure they pronounced all of the speakers names correctly! James provided a great mix of music and our guests didn't leave the dance floor until the last song! They really made our wedding day special!

74 Events and James Arnold absolutely killed it at our wedding. James did so much more than run through a list of must plays - he nailed the vibe we asked for and somehow managed to hit several of our favorite songs/artists that we didn't even think to mention to him. (Seriously, this guy might be telepathic). We're so impressed and had multiple friends tell us that they've never heard better music at a wedding and that James is actually one of the best DJs they've heard period. It felt like he really took the time to get to know us and the music we love and met some of our tougher requests like fitting in a couple French songs without making them stick out like a sore thumb. Magic! He's also the nicest, most gracious person who helped us run the show/mic while we did speeches during dinner. We were also blown away by Gary - working with him was seamless and stress-free, which is INVALUABLE during the wedding planning process. He was easily one of (if not our very favorite) vendor because he anticipated everything before we did, was incredibly responsive, and super kind. I should probably also state because of COVID we had three different wedding dates, so we worked with him for awhile, and he really helped make this part of the process less stressful for us. We're so grateful we went with 74 Events and that they matched us with James.

Working with both Gary and Aaron was great - they spent time to hear what we were looking for and on the day, Aaron really delivered! Our guests had so much fun dancing and just enjoying the music Aaron curated. My husband and I have such different music tastes and Aaron seamlessly blended that together. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved working the team at 74 Events! We booked them in January of 2020 when we were supposed to be getting married in December of 2020, and when our event got rescheduled they were so gracious about moving our date without any fuss. Gary - the owner of the company - was super involved throughout the entire process. He is so professional, thorough, and thoughtful. He clearly knows his stuff in terms of running a really great business, but also has done so many successful weddings. We had several checkins along the way to talk through all of the logistics and answer all of our questions. Dan - our actual DJ for the event - was also phenomenal to work with. He was the perfect MC throughout the night bringing awesome energy and tunes throughout cocktail hour and dinner. Then when it switched to dancing, he had the perfect mix and timing to keep the energy and party going till the end of the night. We couldn't recommend 74 Events enough! Gary and Rob were superb!! Gary managed all of the details and behind the scenes work seemingly with ease and was always timely in his responses. We received tons (nearly every guest at our wedding!) of rave reviews of Rob's DJ'ing and song choice. He is fantastic at reading the room and feeding the energy of the guests. There wasn't a moment when the dance floor wasn't full of happy, dancing guests! 74 Events made planning extremely easy and stress free! Which when planning a wedding, is an immense relief. My husband and I worked with Gary and Miles for our November 2021 wedding. After graciously moving our wedding date from 2020, they went above and beyond to make sure we had the most amazing after party. We didn't have a lot of specific songs we wanted play but knew with only 2 hours of dancing we never wanted the party to slow down. Mile truly delivered on this desire and kept everyone dancing until the last song.

Justin and Gary are total pros and helped make our wedding a blast. They were thoughtful and organized throughout the planning process—answering all our questions and helping us articulate our musical tastes and vision for the big day. When the evening rolled around, Justin read the room perfectly and played hits from all decades that got everyone moving well into the night. The crowd loved him and we're so happy with how the night turned out!

Gary and James were the epitome of professionalism and made the entire experience planning for our wedding music seamless. Every one of our calls that we had with them, Gary and James had already thoughtfully prepared an agenda and walked us through a number of points to consider and discuss that we would not have thought of but for their extensive knowledge of DJ-ing and how to plan for an event. Gary and James are also, of course, huge music enthusiasts, and as such were incredibly supportive of our wide-ranging musical taste and thought of exceptional ways to blend a number of different songs we love. The day of the wedding, James's combination of songs was impeccable, and if anything, I only wish we had had more time to be on the dance floor longer, because I kept hearing songs come on and seeing everyone dancing to great tunes! (I promise we got to dance plenty--I just always will wish we had more time to do so between saying hi to everyone!) James was also a very gracious and understated MC, who was able to get our guests' attention effortlessly and stylishly. Gary and Dan made it so easy to work with them and kept us calm leading up to the big day! Dan was a hit at the wedding and made sure to keep the party going! He read the crowd great and kept picking hits for everyone to dance too! We are thrilled with how the evening went thanks to the wonderful music we had!

Gary and Aaron were really easy to work with and highly professional. We postponed our wedding several times and they worked with us to make our new date. Gary was very helpful in creating a timeline, setting expectations, providing us with requests ahead of time, and ensuring that everyone in the wedding party had their name pronounced correctly. Aaron kept the dance floor full from the first song to the last song, never missing a beat. Transitions between songs were smooth (guests even complimented them). Aaron was our DJ of choice and we couldn't have been happier - we had 90 guests and most of them spent the entire evening on the dance floor. We highly recommend working with Gary and Aaron.

I can't imagine how busy they were this year (knowing that 2020 postponed weddings were also happening), but Gary never failed to be someone we could trust from beginning to end. James Arnold was our DJ for our wedding, and there was never a split second where he didn't put in his full effort. He was so sweet and it was truly a pleasure to get to know him. Our wedding was a daytime wedding after Labor Day weekend, so we were worried that people wouldn't be as energetic to dance, but he made it happen! James Arnold from 47 events was the dj for our daughter’s wedding and the guests danced all night long! My husband and I were thinking of hiring a band but the bride & groom wanted a DJ. It turned out to be the best decision because Gary from 74 events was in touch with them and got a feel for what they wanted before he referred them to James. Then, James consulted with my daughter and her fiancé to get to know them and what they were looking for at their wedding. Although their taste in music is somewhat different from ours, James was able to incorporate old and new and just keep everyone dancing! By the end of the night my face hurt from smiling and my feet from dancing- a sign of a good time! I would highly recommend James and 74 Events to DJ any event where I wanted my guests to have a great time!!!

We LOVED working with 74Events. Music was so important to us especially as we are blending two different cultures and wanted to make sure everyone had a good time. When we reached out to Gary we knew that they were the perfect fit. Gary went above and beyond to make sure we were paired with the right DJ and that he had all the details to make the day go smoothly. We still can't get over how incredible our wedding dance floor was, thanks to DJ Ben. We loved working with him & Gary in the lead-up to our event and highly recommend hiring them. We knew the vibe we were after but couldn't fully articulate it, but after giving them a short list to build off of they totally took it from there. We did a mini-dance set after our first dance before dinner and we could tell right away we'd made a great choice. All 140 guests were out of their seats dancing & having a great time before salads were even served. If you're looking for great energy at your event and very organized partners, highly recommend booking them. They took any stress around reception planning of off our plates and really made for such a wonderful night.

It was a pleasure working with Gary and James for our wedding. Gary made all the preparation before the big day very easy. He is extremely well organized and responsive to questions. He is flexible in accommodating the bride and groom’s requests but gives his honest opinion on how to have the best experience on your wedding day. James hit it out of the park on our wedding day. So many guests came up to us to tell us how much fun they were having on the dance floor and how great our DJ was. James was also very good at communicating with us how the order of events would go and let us know if he was going to go off script to make things flow better. We hosted our wedding at the New York Botanical Garden - The Stone Mill and Gary and Dan were an excellent team to work with to help make our wedding a success. Gary was super responsive, proactive and easy to reach during the planning process. When you have so much to plan for with a wedding it really helps to work with people like Gary and Dan who you know you can trust, are responsive, and operate seamlessly day of. Dan played music the entire evening from the ceremony through the reception and really captured our vibe. We wanted a mix of hip hop, r&b, Motown, and merengue/salsa music for a diverse and intergenerational crowd and he definitely delivered. The dance floor was active all night with people dancing up a storm. Dan was also very professional and subtle with facilitating speeches and any introductions, which is what we were looking for. After so much loss and time apart during the height of Covid-19, thank you Gary and Dan for helping us bring the joy and celebration to our special day.

We have been working with Gary and DJ Aaron McMickle since late 2019, originally booking with 74 Events for our September 2020 wedding in Brooklyn. We postponed to August 2021, and the entire process could not have been easier. Gary worked with us to make sure our timeline for our wedding was smooth, and that we would have all our song choices and speeches good to go. At the wedding, we received so many compliments from our guests of all ages about the music. Aaron really knows how to read the room and keep the party pumping. Literally crushed it, cannot recommend more highly.

You never have to worry that your wedding is top of mind and being handled with care. Dan was our DJ, and we have nothing but awesome things to say about him. We wanted to start the night with lighter music and slowly segue into dance music, and Dan totally got our vision. It is not an overstatement to say that multiple guests notes that the music was perfect and that the entire night was banger after banger. Beyond that, he was so friendly and really kind to our guests when they went to him with requests. This is a super professional, caring company with top notch DJs. Cannot recommend them enough!
