790 on the Gulf Restaurant

We rented the semi-private room for my wedding reception and it was amazing! Service was great and the restaurant and views were awesome. I wish I had asked them to host my wedding too. The beach was so beautiful and a great place for all of our pictures. The area separated out for us as also very private and quiet so our guests could talk. Overall this was our favorite part of our wedding. We also LOVED working with Christine. She made the planning process easy and they provide everything you could need for a destination wedding reception.

We hosted our wedding reception at 790 on 5/20/17...the wedding ceremony was on Inn at Crystal Beach's private beach and 790 is on lower level of the Inn. It couldn't have been better...a short walk from the Crystal Beach sands up to 790. I booked this venue a year in advance as May begins their busy wedding season. Christine DeParis was fantastic to work with. I cannot say enough good things as to how accommodating she was in our many requests. We had 24 total so they sectioned us in a semi-private room. It was very nice with beautiful floor to ceiling windows across the back facing the water. Is this a swanky venue? No not at all...but a classy, comfortable setting and that is what I wanted. As this was a destination wedding, this added a bit more complexity in planning-sight unseen. However I and my fiancé made a trip to Destin last September to meet Christine and have a tasting for our menu selection (this was highly recommended ). We served the endless buffet and EVERYTHING chosen was amazing. The seafood gumbo was some of the best....and the Parmesan crab & shrimp dip for one of the appetizers was a taste of Heaven.We also served crab cakes, boiled shrimp, chicken fettuccine, Hurricane chicken, beef tenderloin medallions, salad and Corn Maque Chooux along with an antipasto platter. The food was kept at a consistent temperature and constantly attended to so that nothing ran low. It was all delicious and everyone raved about the food. We had an open bar and the drinks were excellent. The two servers we had were on top of it at all times and yet were like mice...you never knew they were around. Lastly, we enlisted the assistance of an employee for additional responsibility in setting up the reception decor and overseeing floral delivery, etc... I couldn't have done a better job myself...with clear direction she hit it out of the ballpark in making my design and vision into reality. We had several guests say it was the best reception they had ever attended...warm & cozy atmosphere with fantastic food and drinks. I checked out several venues before selecting 790 and if I had to do it over again, I would choose exactly what I chose. A good value for the money.

790 on the Gulf is a perfect place for your reception! Christine was amazing and so helpful to work with in planning for out of town. We would recommend 790 to everyone! Because our guest list was small, we did not have to rent the facility, and the menu cards were provided to guests at the time of reception. No need to gather them in advance! The food is excellent, and they were very accommodating to those with food allergies. There is AMPLE parking and it is not overrun by tourists P Pa

Wow! We very recently had our wedding reception at 790 on the Gulf and I cannot rave more about our experience. First, Christine is the ultimate professional and will do anything to help make your day special. We were a little pressed for time to decorate the reception area/restaurant and Christine and her staff offered their help! She even personally folded napkins for me and that just speaks volumes about her character. All of my guests LOVED LOVED LOVED the food and the servers! The food was hot, fresh and delicious and came out right on time. I can't honestly imagine my reception going any better than it did. It was amazing and my bridal party and guests said it was the best reception they had ever gone to. If you are thinking of having your wedding and reception in Destin, I DEFINITELY recommend having it at 790 on the Gulf! Awesome prices and amazing quality! Another venue right down the road offered their services for over THREE TIMES the amount and I highly doubt the food and experience would've been even half as good. We are so happy with our decision!!
