828 Planning - San Diego

ll fronts, from planning to budget, and every hiccup was taken care of by her with ease. She made sure she had my vision, and then made every part of it come to life. Sophie made sure we ate, drank, took care of our wedding parties, and then packed everything up for us the next day. Such an amazing experience and I cannot thank her enough!

of the building, along with being able to have more creative control. We planned our wedding from afar, so we were especially grateful to work with Lindsay on the planning. She did such an excellent job of helping us with picking vendors, coordinating everything, and keeping us on track - especially with things we didn't even think of! One thing that BRICK doesn't have is a room to get ready in but Lindsay was especially helpful in figuring out logistics with using a hotel and travelling to the venue. The actual day went wonderfully - the team and Lindsay did such a great job with keeping the day on track and keeping everything organized. What I especially loved was the time they took to make sure that as the couple we had everything we needed including alone time during the day. The barstaff were so much fun and the day ran so smoothly. I would highly recommend BRICK and would choose it again!

ing experience working with the Skylight staff. From start to finish, every single person at Skylight was so sweet, welcoming, and patient, we were in such great hands!! We went in person for a intro meeting and after every question I had written down were answered without skipping a beat and we were kicking ourselves for not bring our check book to put down our initial deposit. Thankfully, we were able to do it online as well and had our date booked! It's a very DIY space and the rental was for a full 24 hours. So we had the confidence going into it that after the wedding was over we could come the next morning to grab our belongings. Once we started getting more into planning and booking the rest of our vendors we realized we were barely treading water and needed help. Thankfully, Sklyight offers planning services and we were able to book the wonderful Sophie Shinn to be our Month of Coordinator. Starting two months out from our date, she helped us handle our ceremony & reception layout, answering any and all questions we had, helped recommend any vendors we didn't have booked yet at a great price, collected the COIs from our vendors, an amazing timeline for the entire day, set up all of our personal decor we brought in, orchestrated both of our immediate families for a smooth and quick ceremony rehearsal, and managed the whole day of the wedding with ease. I cannot stress enough how thankful I am to Sophie and the rest of the Skylight staff that helped bring our wedding vision to life. I seriously cannot think of one thing I would have changed or done differently. Without their help, I don't think I would have been as stress-free as I was on my wedding day. Sophie listened to all of our wishes and made it a reality, she seriously knocked it out of the park!! Also, we had an all vegan wedding, with WongWayVeg (an all vegan food truck) already on Skylights list of preferred vendors, we were thrilled. We had an indoor buffet (in case the April weather wasn't in our favor) and had Green Bus Cafe as our coffee bus outside for a coffee hour after dinner. The outside set up cocktail tables were perfect for people to step out back and relax to some cooler weather before heading back in for dancing with market lights set up inside and out. Rex from Discosapien (our DJ) kept the good vibes going with our premade playlists for every section of the night to perfection. We loved the look of Skylights wood tables and metal chairs, that we based our look around it. We went with a wildflower theme and had the tables decorated with cheesecloth, faux greenery, rechargeable lamps, and mix and match bud vases. We used Skylights in house beverage service for drinks (so convenient!) and even got their photo booth, draping, and rented their mobile wall. Everything looked absolutely incredible seeing our vision come to life and hearing our guest rave about how excellent and beautiful everything was. Did I mention that the amazing staff also tore down and boxed up all of our decor the night of the wedding so the next morning all we had to do was load it into our cars? 1000/10 recommend booking your wedding, next event, or party at Skylight!!! Thanks again to Sophie and the incredible Skylight staff for absolutely making our wedding day perfect! Eternally grateful, The Weiseners.

r her. Thank you

supportive and helpful on the wedding day!

tion special! Aside from the perfect "blank space of a venue" that can be transitioned into anything, we elected to take advantage of their wedding planning services and truly lucked out having Addison Denaway as our planner-- she was everywhere we needed her to be, had excellent recommendations/ was very knowledgeable, and was always willing to listen to our ideas and help achieve everything I/ we wanted for our big day!! Could not be more grateful to have had Bash and 828 Venues and their wonderful staff and services, but especially Addison... as well as Madison Barfield (responsible for the bar)! It was a beautiful and memorable day and I wouldn't change a thing!

throughout our entire year and a half engagement! We ended up booking Addie as our same day coordinator and she went above and beyond for us in so many ways! She made sure to keep in contact, thought of all the little details we might have forgotten, and made sure to have our wedding day go off without a hitch! I don't have adequate enough words to describe how incredible it was to work with her. Thank you thank you thank you for everything your whole team did for us, we will always cherish our time with you!

to ensure we stayed on track with choosing vendors, tasting and selecting food options and ensuring our day went off without a hitch! If we were to get married again (as everyone is hoping we throw a wedding every year based on how much fun it was) we would 100% not do it without Lindsay. Hands down, the best planner we could have asked for. She not only knows what she is doing, but genuinely cares that her clients have the best day ever and do not need to worry about a thing day of!

as a couple, and made sure to offer sound advice when asked. She took away so much stress regarding the planning and execution, we often would use the line "Lindsay has it taken care of" with our nosy family. We like to be detail-oriented and appreciated her fastidious approach. Ultimately our wedding day came and we could not have asked for more from her, she was wonderful and made it go off without (or with rather) a hitch. Thanks so much Lindsay and 828 team!

this coordinator option. Lindsay is so incredibly organized, experienced, professional, and calming. Leading up to the wedding, we had several calls to make sure that all of my dreams, plans and visions would come true, and Lindsay made sure that happened. She took away sooooo much stress from wedding planning and I really leaned on her, and I am so happy that I did. On the day of the wedding, I felt so relaxed and present due to Lindsay and her team, and for that, I am forever grateful!

ig day so easy! Would absolutely recommend Lindsay and the 828 planning team to every couple!

g the day of. She executed my wedding vision perfectly, took care of everything with vendors and made sure we had food and drinks whenever we needed. Her knowledge and suggestions of vendors, our monthly touch bases and the wedding homework she gave us at the beginning of the process gave us peace of mind and made sure we were all on the same page throughout all the planning. Sabrina and the bar stuff made our wedding night that much sweeter. Thank you to everyone who helped make our wedding a night we will never forget.

was so kind and friendly and we don't have any regrets at all. Especially having Lindsay and her team there on our wedding day was a huge help - they think of everything! Thank you!!!

nd timeline, communicating with my vendors, decorating beautifully and as planned, keeping us on schedule throughout the event, and making sure that once the night was over we had everything that we needed. Special kudos to Sarah! She jumped into planning with me and blew us away with her attention to detail, organization, and many great ideas. She even saved the day and helped us bustle my dress! Sarah handled everything professionally and discreetly- she was such an asset to our day and a dream to work with! Can’t say thank you enough!!!

commend a vendor for every single thing that we wanted to have at our wedding. Not only did she recommend them, but she secured vendors for us and made the whole process so easy. Lindsay brought our vision to life and really listened to what we wanted to have on our special day. Thank you Lindsay!

r. Definitely worth every penny! Thank you Lindsay!!

hought I was going to have to manage. I was so relieved to have her by my side throughout the process and certainly she was worth every penny on the wedding day when she took such good care of us - getting us drinks, reminding us about certain things, prepping us for the final goodbye and generally keeping us on the timeline while we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you so much Lindsay for everything!!

were interested in our date and for good reasons: the venue is beautiful, big, and open, which allows creative freedom to do as you please when planning. Unfortunately, like a lot of couples, we had to reschedule our wedding due to the pandemic. However, when it came to rescheduling our wedding date and contacting all our vendors, our coordinator at the time, Victoria, made it so easy and stress free. Fast forward to the end of 2021 when we were all clear to finally celebrate, both Victoria and Lindsay helped make our day go by extremely smooth and ultimately so fun! Lindsay was amazing at responding to emails so promptly and making sure all our ducks were in a row. I highly recommend checking out BRICK for any type of event!
