The appetizers were refreshing, the bartending was great, and the buffet reception we had was beautifully set up and the food was flawless! Our guests were complimenting the steelhead and beef tenderloin as the best they had had at any wedding. Willie is complete professional, and as a bride it was wonderful to not have to worry about a thing on the big day. I highly recommend this caterer if you're getting married in Palm Springs or Joshua Tree, there isn't a venue that they cant cater. Thank you Willie!

I would hire them again and again. Willie truly appreciates your business, which was a huge difference we noticed when communicating with other caterers. He guided us through our appetizer & entree choices with care and assisted us in creating our rustic Italian theme with our food. On the day of our wedding, his team was top-notch. His servers and bartenders moved with grace through our guests and guaranteed that someone always had a drink or bite in their hand! Willie was hands on at our reception as well and made sure everything was perfect for us. He handled our plating, glassware, and linens which were all impeccable! Willie really goes the extra mile to ensure that the clients' experience is perfect and looks beautiful. We are so happy we chose 849 as our caterer! Almost three months later, our wedding guests are still talking about how delicious the food was at our wedding! That was our goal and we have Willie & his team at 849 to thank for that!

with Willie to cater our wedding at my Uncles' home in Palm Springs was an amazing experience - my husband and I wholeheartedly agree that out of all the decisions that went into planning our wedding, Willie at 849 was BY FAR the BEST decision we made. Willie was incredibly flexible and easy going from the moment my husband and I contacted him. In fact, he was so helpful leading up to the wedding day we joked that Willie was the wedding planner. He was able to accommodate for anything and everything we needed (including us inviting 50 more guests than we initially quoted, switching the signature cocktail at the last minute, creating a sky high champagne tower, gorgeous linens, table décor (including centerpieces and lighting), rose gold flatware - he even added my husband's favorite appetizer to the menu - bacon wrapped jalapeño shrimp bombs). My husband and I were able to enjoy a tasting before booking him, but even before the tasting we were sold (we had already been to his restaurant a few times and knew the food at 849 is spectacular). My husband and I interviewed the top 5 ranked caterers in the Palm Springs area, Willie's price was either on par, or less than the others, BUT Willie's quote included SO MUCH MORE, which made him by far the lowest price. (As mentioned above: linens, champagne tower, table décor, visiting the venue multiple times with the rental company, orchestrating ~literally~ everything.) Willie even coordinated with the rental company for heaters, lighting, tables, etc. - he made our wedding experience truly magical. Not only was Willie spectacular, but his entire team was as well. He provided fantastic, accommodating bartenders and servers. All guests were able to enjoy our passed appetizers, and the timing of the plated dinner was perfect. (People often say the bride and groom do not get to eat at their wedding, my husband and I made sure we ate - the food was delicious!) Since the wedding, numerous guests have told us that this was the best wedding meal they have ever enjoyed. The beef tenderloin with red wine reduction was cooked to perfection, lobster mac and cheese had huge chunks of fresh lobster (ingredients: maccheroni al torchio, gruyere, Beecher's white cheddar, parmigiana reggiano) - a couple from Martha's Vineyard said it was the best lobster mac and cheese they have had in their life! (Our vegetarian option was also a huge hit: Cauliflower steak, walnut-caper salsa with fresno chioli, dried currants.) Willie is also a pleasure to work with. He is always calm, responds quickly, he is never terse or stressed, and he throws spectacular events! Willie epitomizes quality, detail, and class. If you are hosting an event and want it to go seamlessly and the food to be delicious, then go with Willie at 849. He made our wedding perfect and we give him our highest recommendation.
