Dave was very friendly. His planning website didn’t work out for us and it was not as high tech as other music vendors presented us with (but we thought this was worth it for being a significantly better price for a DJ). We had some troubles with the document he sent as well. We did talk on the phone with him a couple times which was helpful and he was able to easily get a feel for what we wanted/did not want- and he stuck to the "do not play" ideas well! He followed the requests we gave to him and ran the night well. Everyone partied all night and enjoyed themselves- the dance floor was never empty. His price was the best by far in comparison to other wedding DJs (the main reason we chose him) and he knew our venue well. We loved the uplighting he did for us and stuck to timelines well. Dave did a nice job for us, overall.

We can't say enough good things about Dave and A&B Entertainment! Dave was key in making sure our music selection was spot on for our entire wedding day. He was so easy to work with and was always available to talk through our music selection leading up to our wedding day. The day of the event Dave was so professional. The ceremony music was flawless and he made sure everyone knew what they were doing for introductions and speeches. We gave a couple of song ideas for ones we like and didn't like and Dave absolutely nailed it! Dave was a huge help in making sure our wedding day was perfect!

We booked A and B entertainment for our wedding last month and could not have been happier! Dave was our DJ and he is a true professional! He was always available throughout the wedding planning process and worked with all our vendors to ensure our day went flawlessly! We did not have to worry about a thing and Dave ensured our wedding day was one we would never forget! Our dance floor was packed the entire night and Dave really knew how to keep the party going!

Stephen, one of the senior DJs, did our wedding and everything was awesome! Stephen has several conversations with us throughout the wedding planning process to make sure everything was exactly the way we wanted it. Our guests ended up having so much fun and everyone was dancing, from our cousins’ toddlers, to our friends from college, to our older aunts and uncles. Phenomenal job!

Stephen from A & B Entertainment DJ’d our wedding reception recently (Saturday 8/24/19). Leading up to the event, he was always available for questions that came up along the way and was good about checking the shared online client portal. We used the online client portal to share notes about special requests along with specific song requests for the night generally as well as for the key moments like the dances and cake cutting. He was very accommodating for all of the nuanced requests in the night like coordinating a large group alumni photo in the middle of the dance floor, planning for 5 reception speeches, creating a mash-up father/daughter dance song, and even converting song files into a useable format in order to surprise a friend during the reception. On the wedding day, he arrived hours early to ensure set-up was perfect, including coordinating with the ceremony solo guitarist & singer, officiant, and videographer to ensure sound checks and mic needs were addressed. There is no question in his professionalism between his responsiveness, care, and punctuality. Throughout the evening he used the mic sparingly to make logistical announcements and kept his focus on the music. He had great suggestions on event flow around slow songs and how to effectively wrap up the dancing at the end of the night to respect the venue’s strict music stop time. He also, respectfully, stuck to our ‘do not play’ list and the dance floor was packed all night -- with an impromptu (and hilarious) conga line to boot! There were a few too many line/group dances like the cha cha slide back-to-back but we didn’t explicitly talk about that during the planning sessions so I think that could easily be mitigated in a future event by setting expectations upfront. Overall, Stephen is very open-minded to customizing the event to fit your needs so with your ideas and a shared understanding on execution, he can make anything come to life!

Dave is an amazing DJ. Dave spent many nights talking through our wedding to make sure it was perfect. The whole night went so smoothly and my guests loved all of the music. Thank you Dave for all of your attention to detail... we are forever grateful.

If you want DJ/MC who knows what he is doing and is well seasoned, Dave is your man. Dave is simply wonderful and went above and beyond! He came highly recommended by our photographer who has worked with Dave at numerous weddings. We knew he was the right fit right after meeting him. Dave will work to make sure the event is perfect the way you want. He even came out to New Haven a couple of months before the wedding to test the uplighting in the Omni Ballroom to go over if we liked the color and setup. We gave him the music list, info for intros, our timeline and the cocktail hour and reception was really on autopilot after that. He is excellent at communicating with other vendors and coordinated with them. Everything was seamless and on time. He made sure the music wasn’t too loud during dinner time (we didn't even have to ask. He knows what he is doing!) and then amped it up for the partying. We and our guests really enjoyed having Dave at our wedding. Thanks again Dave!!!

Dave made the process of picking a wedding DJ seamless and a no brainer. He went above and beyond. He took time to meet with us multiple times to discuss our wedding music and even met us at the ceremony venue to discuss sound system options. He was the easiest decision we made when planning our wedding!

Dave at A&B Entertainment went above and beyond our expectations to make our wedding day perfect as our DJ. First, Dave was willing to sit down and meet with us multiple times first get to know us and then talk specifics. His attention to detail left us feeling like he would not miss a beat and that the event would go smoothly. Immediately, we knew from our first meeting that Dave would make our experience personal and not like we were part of a wedding production business. More than a DJ, Dave helped coordinate the events of the evening by working closely with the wedding coordinator at our venue. This ensured that they were on the same page the whole night and everything occurred on time and as planned. So many of our guests commented on the huge number of people that were on the dance floor for the duration of the party segment of our reception, from beginning to the end! Dave did a great job of balancing requests from guests while not getting away from what we liked too. He was also accommodating on the spot when we, at the last minute, had an idea to invite all Moms and Sons to join my mom and I on the dance floor towards the end of the Mother-Son dance. Dave was right there and ready to make the adjustment. There were some parts during our planning of the night that we had difficulty finding the right song and Dave was easily accessible to ask questions and for recommendations. His company makes use of an online planning program that allows the bride and groom to login to their account and do everything from picking out specific songs to play to entering the names of the wedding party for introductions. We are so happy that we chose to work with Dave and are forever grateful to him for helping to make our wedding everything we could have asked for!

Dave was great to work with! He met with us in person and continuously kept in touch with us via email and text over the months leading up to our wedding day. He played all of the music we requested and kept everyone on the dance floor all night - our guests missed dessert because no one wanted to leave the dance floor! Dave was able to coordinate with our venue and caterer to keep the timetable of events flowing. He made sure to know who all of our party members were and to pronounce everyone's name correctly. He has a great speaking voice and knew when to interject and make announcements and when to let us all keep dancing. All of my guests to this day comment on how they have never danced that much at a wedding - that was our goal - to keep the party going all night. Dave made that happen and I would recommend A & B Entertainment to anyone that wants to dance the night away on their wedding. Thanks Dave! You helped make our night so special!

Dave was excellent. Several months prior to our wedding, he took the time to meet with us in person. He has insightful advice and offers lots of helpful suggestions, but he also is very client-focused and made sure that our musical tastes guided his thinking. He is attentive without being pushy. He uses a web-based system that allowed us to build our playlist on our own schedule. Closer to the wedding, he talked everything over with us on the phone to make sure he understood exactly what we wanted. He left no stone unturned! At the wedding itself, we were impressed by his ability to read the crowd and adjust the music accordingly. He also seamlessly mixed in his own song choices that meshed well with the tunes on our playlist. My 4.5 year-old nephew was cutting it up on the dance floor. Dave embraced his energy and encouraged him to be a part of the festivities. He was able to create an atmosphere that was fun for adults and kids alike. We would highly recommend Dave's services to anyone else.

Stephen Morgan did a great job DJ-ing for our backyard wedding! Everything sounded good as you'd expect, and he was excellent at reading the mood of the crowds as they changed throughout the reception. Guests were always dancing and having a good time! His setup and tear-down processes were pretty seamless as well. He asked us for some input into which songs we wanted during the first dance, processional, etc. All of the execution was perfect, and for things like the first dance, the 7-minute song we chose was stopped after a comfortable and natural 1-2 minutes. He also requested that we provide some songs to play during the reception. A few of those choices didn't make the cut, but they wouldn't have fit the moods of the crowd. I appreciated his ability to make good decisions without needing a lot of input from my wife and I ahead of time. We were already stretched for time while wedding planning, and that made things a lot easier for us.

A & B Entertainment was amazing! My husband and I worked with Dave and he walked through the whole process with us from day one and stayed in touch throughout the planning process to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted. Dave also worked with our caterer and photographer to coordinate our reception and be sure everything ran smoothly and stayed on time which was such a huge help and made the night stress free!! You can quickly tell that this company has great experience, we held our wedding at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, CT and Dave had all of the equipment necessary to hold it there as well our outdoor ceremony. All of the music selections were great, our guests were dancing all night! Dave even secretly worked with my bridesmaids to help plan their speech - they did a rap and Dave coordinated the music - it was amazing and an awesome surprise!) We couldn't say enough good things about this company and would highly recommend them. Thank you Dave for the best night ever!!!

Dave did a great job. He was helpful to us throughout all of our wedding planning helped our wedding run smoothly. He accommodated all of our requests, gave us several suggestions when we were in need, and arrived early to set up so we didn't need to worry. Our guests had a great time on the dance floor as well. From our first contact with Dave it was professional and made us feel very comfortable. My wife and I were planning our wedding from New York, so we were relying on recommendations from other vendors and Dave was highly recommended. Dave was patient and informative during the planning and shared some great ideas. Dave was early to our event and throughout the evening was very accommodating with all of the request and was quick to pick up on the vibe and continued great music all night, I do not remember not be on the dance floor, it was a great time. Dave was a true professional and would highly recommend him.

I am a musician who has worked with Dave on numerous weddings and I cannot say enough about what a great job Dave does as DJ. He is always prepared, arrives early, has the most up to date/state of the art equipment (including amazing lighting!) and then proceeds to create the most fun and festive environment imaginable for the big day. Dave is a natural as MC and keeps the wedding events moving forward smoothly (ie, first dance, etc) with a friendly, engaging vibe. His choice of music is excellent, he's always up on the latest in music and he works with the bride and groom to make sure he plays what they would like to hear. When you hire Dave for your most special day, you're really getting the best. He truly puts his heart and soul into making your day the best it can be!

I cannot say enough about A&B Entertainment! Dave Gianni, the owner, DJ'd our wedding a couple of weeks ago and did an amazing job. Not only did he play the songs that I had specifically asked him to, but he really kept things in order. He was the MC of the wedding. It was so nice to not have to worry about the order or timing of what was happening; Dave took care of that for us. I had multiple people tell me how great he was and I even had a friend ask for his name because he wants him for his wedding. I am beyond happy!!

Dave was everything we hoped for! The DJ was the biggest part of my special day because my family loves to party! And we wanted to keep a fun up beat flow all night and Dave did just that! He was considerate and kind! He provided exactly what I asked for and then some! We were in communication the whole time and he was receptive to everything I needed and had to say, even the day of! I had a blast at my wedding and I was given the most wonderful atmosphere with the music to have fun! He also provided beautiful uplighting that truely turned the room into a fairytale! Hiring Dave Gianni, on behalf of A and B Entertainment, was the easiest decision my Husband and I made while planning our wedding. We initially chose to meet with this DJ Service since it was a preferred vendor through our Reception Hall. After our initial meeting with Dave, we were sold. I felt like we were old friends instead of meeting for the first time. His knowledge, experience, and familiarity with our venue made us feel completely at ease entrusting him as our entertainment for the evening. His myriad song selections, plus the ones he had to download exclusively for our special day, provided us with hours of music for the evening. Since my Husband is Puerto Rican, it was very important for us to play Latin based music such as Salsa and Merengue. My Husband's family provided us with song options and Dave happily obliged by playing their requests and more. He kept the dance floor packed all night! His prices are excellent, even if you add up-lighting, it was all reasonable. He was personable with the guests and really helped to keep everything flowing from the introductions, to the cake cutting, to the parent dances. He really knows what he is doing and I am so thankful and appreciative of the work Dave did so that I wouldn't have to worry and could just enjoy the night. So many of our guests commented on what a wonderful time they had and on how great the DJ was. Thank you Dave for EVERYTHING! You were a tremendous help throughout the entire planning process; Matt and I couldn't have done it without you!

Dave was the best DJ for our October wedding. He was educated, passionate and played music for all of the generations at our wedding. We danced the entire night and he didn't skip a beat. We were so impressed with his attention to detail and responsiveness to our needs. He made sure to include all of the details to make our night special. We would recommend him for any wedding!

Dave from A&B Entertainment was excellent! He DJ'ed our June 2016 wedding, and guests were on their feet all night! He knew how to read the crowd, and he played music people could dance to. He paced everything perfectly, he wasn't cheesy, he didn't dominate the wedding... he was just great. And guest continue to rave about the uplighting! We would highly recommend!!

Dave was so thorough and helpful in helping us prepare for our wedding. He spent a great deal of time making sure every detail was reviewed. He sent us a lot of suggestions for music and helped us set the tone for our ceremony and reception. I first found A&B Entertainment because they are on the preferred vendor list for our wedding venue. My strategy was generally to choose a couple that looked good and meet with them with the fiance to see what we thought. Well, Dave from A&B was the first and only DJ we met with. We could tell right away that he knew what was up and would help with an amazing wedding. The planning with Dave was easy. He has a great online tool where you can note the names of the folks in your bridal party to announce, choose special dance songs, and create play lists. I had such a blast with it. Interestingly, he says not many people really use it and I don't get why! It made it very easy when we touched base a few days before the wedding to talk over the details. The day of the wedding was spot on. Dave knows how to play to a crowd and everyone at my wedding danced - old or young - and most definitely ME. He even had downloaded a few special Irish songs I requested to play for my husband's family visiting from Ireland. I would recommend Dave and the rest of the A&B DJs without hesitation!

Dave came recommended by a friend who had a wedding a year before ours & we decided in one day of interviewing DJs that he'd be our guy. He was very accommodating to our schedule and took his time getting to know us and what we liked. As I was busy with other things on the wedding day, Dave didn't even cross my mind. I was comfortable trusting him to do his job & the music worked out great!

A&B was a great vendor. They were super responsive when I first sent them an inquiry and they drove to meet me in a place that was convenient for me. They had an online database and checked in with us throughout the planning process. Dave G was awesome- he was fully prepared on wedding day, and he even let us plug in a cell phone just so that we could play a brand new song at the reception. Totally worth hiring this DJ!

We had Dave Gianni for our wedding. Could not have been more pleased! He met with us and had several more phone calls and emails. So easy to talk to and really wanted to capture the bride/grooms taste in music. He listened to our play list and also had great suggestions. He kept the party dancing the entire time!! If you are in the market for a tasteful DJ who truly cares - this is the guy!

Dave from A&B is a great DJ. He kept our guests dancing all night and we had a blast. We gave him a list of songs ahead of time for each part of the night and every song we requested was played, which we really appreciated because we wanted to have our tastes really be represented. And as the night progressed my husband requested 3 additional songs which he played as well. His own choices fit in and made everyone have a good time. He played what people wanted to hear and was easy to contact and speak to leading up to the day. He's very knowledgable and can help guide you if you're feeling like you're not totally sure what to expect, which was very appreciated.

Steve was a joy to work with. He was professional and attentive, helped us choose our music, was readily available to answer questions, and above all, gave us and our guests a wedding reception they will never forget. We paid $1250 for four hours and it was worth every penny.

Dave from A & B was amazing! He was so efficient, and able to keep me calm. He really made sure everything went smoothly and was able to match the mood and the music. Everyone was dancing, no lulls at all. We say them at my sister-in -laws wedding and knew we had to have them! I would highly recommend for any function!
