Alex and Roberto were the most wonderful and talented wedding photographers — better than we ever could have imagined for ourselves! We worked with them from engagement shoot to we...
dding and could not feel luckier to have found them.
Alex and Roberto are not only very skilled and take beautiful photographs, they are lovely to work with and have a knack for depicting a couple’s personality and that of their loved ones. Our wedding was slightly off-beat but they were game and frankly blended right in with our guests — to the point that my husband and I were just glad to have them at our wedding, photographers or not!
Hire A Bitter Orange if you want to collaborate with two talented and wonderful people and have a story told with your wedding photos. You won’t regret it. 🧡
The best!!
Alex and Roberto were so amazing to work with for my August 2022 wedding! When I was considering photographers, Alex took the time to chat with me over the phone and an...
swer any and all questions I had. She sent me example galleries of similar weddings to mine so I could get an even better feel of their work. Leading up to the wedding, she checked in a few times to make sure we were both on the same page with timelines and such. She gave me great advice but also was flexible with my wishes as well.
On the big day, they showed up right on time to start photos. I had a slight delay, but they took that time to scope out the land and take some great detail shots. I was very nervous about posing and they really helped make my husband and I feel so comfortable. They captured my day so perfectly from us as the couple to family and friends tearing it up on the dance floor to small detail shots. They have the perfect amount of presence where they are there for you when you need them, but also just effortlessly blend in. Everything was edited to perfection and photos were delivered in a timely manner. So fun getting to have a little sneak peek the next day in the airport before we headed to our honeymoon!
I can’t recommend these two enough!! :)
The. Best. Ever.

and they were there for it all. With the pandemic, we had to do multiple changes - from having to change to two separate receptions to our reception venue canceling within 48 hours, Alex and Roberto were not only helpful but super supportive! I could not be more grateful for our photos and how beautifully they encapsulated our wedding. Such wonderful people, I want to be friends with them! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for everything!!!

They were great with our guests (young and old!) and a pleasure to have in attendance. We have received many compliments on their photos from our friends and family.

ured. Having gone through the whole process with Alex and Roberto (actually three times over a COVID engagement, an elopement, and finally an actual ceremony), we understand why their work turns out so beautifully. They’re genuine people and focused professionals who know how to make their subjects feel comfortable, feel like themselves. When we think back on the madness of planning a wedding, working with Alex and Roberto was one of the absolute best decisions we made. They’re kind, flexible, knowledgable, organized. Everything you could want from photographers, plus a few more positive qualities you probably didn’t even realize you wanted.

m and wanted them to be the ones to capture our wedding. They captured our July 2020 wedding and were again, the absolute best to work with – professional, personable, fun, all around great people to trust in capturing one of our all-time favorite days! We knew we were going to love the photos before we even saw them…and oh boy, we loved them even more than I could have anticipated!! I get the ‘warm fuzzies’ every time I look through our gallery and we are so happy to have these amazing moments to look back on for decades to come. Besides being such fun people to work with, we really love the look and feel of A Bitter Orange’s photography style – authentic, natural, light, and fun. They did such a great job at letting us and our family go about the day, while capturing so many amazingly candid moments along the way. It was so fun to watch them work; they are a great team. We would 100% recommend A Bitter Orange to anybody looking for photographers to trust with their wedding day. We are lucky to have found Alex and Roberto!

f fun and serious, great candids, and found a way to get a shot of almost everyone there!
Planning with Rob and Alex was also a breeze. We spoke with them a few times leading up to our day to nail down all the details. I trusted them completely and didn't think twice about the photography the day of.
The cherry on top of it all is that we got our photos back so quickly and they are 10/10 perfection! I can't wait to print them, make a few photo books, and continue to look through them to relive the day over and over again.
THANK YOU ALEX AND ROBERTO! You two are incredible!
Alex and Roberto are amazing! Not only did they produce absolutely stunning photos of our wedding (so many times we said “how did they get that shot?!”), they were deeply kind and ...
helpful day of bringing a calm demeanor to the difficult task of herding family members for group photos. They went above and beyond on multiple accounts and even helped the bridesmaids get ready!
The website they post photos to is great and very easy to use. They had edited and returned all photos before we even got back from the honeymoon! All in all we were incredibly impressed, thank you Alex and Roberto!

to were so friendly and warm that it felt natural and they guided us when needed. They took their time before the wedding to get to know us and what we wanted out of our wedding photos so that on our wedding day there was an ease where we didn't need to ensure they were getting the right shots. They worked all day long and traveled with us to different spots. And they looked like they were enjoying themselves which was awesome! Then we got our photos back from them and have been nothing but blown away!! There isn't one bad photo out of all of them and everything that we did to make the day represent us well, they captured. We were filled with such joy to be marrying one another and you can feel that looking at the photos. All of our friends and family are raving about the pictures and wanting to book A Bitter Orange for their events. HIRE A Bitter Orange for your wedding. You won't regret it!
I cannot overstate how much we loved working with Rob and Alex and how thrilled we are with our wedding photos. From the very first introduction call, my fiance and I could tell t...
hat their disposition and style would mesh well with ours, and they certainly did not disappoint. Leading up to our wedding, Alex was a true professional, providing me with my day-of timeline and helping me figure out what we should (and shouldn't!) be photographing, which helped ease my nerves as I knew she had it handled. On the day of the wedding, these two were just fantastic, and our family and guests LOVED them. They blended in perfectly with our party, never too intrusive but somehow capturing the perfect moments. The quality of our photos and the moments they captured, they're just perfect. I would recommend working with Rob and Alex to anyone who is planning their special day. Their professionalism and the quality of their photos is exceptional.

rtable in front of the camera, something we felt anxious about beforehand (it's not everyday you get your pictures professionally taken). They make a great team - it was fun watching how they worked together and how easy it was to feel comfortable with them behind the camera. We had so much fun during our session and love how the fun we were having was so well captured. We're so grateful to have such amazing memories to both look back. We're so so happy with how it all turned out, the end result was photos we feel were authentic and so well document how much fun my fiancé and I have together. It'll be fun to look back on these pictures and remember what a fun day this session was! We recommend A Bitter Orange to any couple looking to document their love in such a fun and authentic way - and we can't wait Alex and Roberto document our wedding!

al, detail-oriented, creative, flexible, hilarious, they made everyone feel and look beautiful… I could go on and on. I come from a large family with 9 siblings, so every family portrait distorts into a “herding cats” situation where at least one kid looks maimed, upset, and/or ugly. But not with them! They were the first professional photographers to capture beautiful family portraits, candid shots, AND fantastic scenery of Wisconsin. In terms of affordability, holy cow, they are incredibly well-priced! In fact, they may be underpaid for the work they delivered. Oh, and they travel, too!
My fiance and I could not have asked for a better photography experience than the one Allie and Roberto provided. They were professional, experienced, and engaging. My fiance and I...
were both extremely nervous before the photo shoot, but Allie and Roberto did a great job making us feel comfortable and loosening us up. They provided great instructions without being over-bearing, and I felt reassured in their capable hands. They were extremely responsive throughout the entire process, and we will not hesitate to use them again if we are ever in need of a professional photographer. If it were possible to leave more than 5-stars, I would do so!
