A Bride’s Best Mate is a wedding planning service operating out of Denver, CO. With years of experience, owner and head planner Alison Amy makes it her mission to help you bring your one-of-a-kind celebration vision to life. She has learned just how much preparation goes into organizing a successful wedding and is ready to be your ‘best mate’ throughout every step.
When planning her own wedding back in 2004, Alison found herself wishing that she had someone to help her with all the decisions she was facing. She has since dedicated herself to being that ‘most organized best friend’ that couples need to guide them through every stage of the planning process. Originally hailing from Australia, Alison moved to Colorado in 2017 and has helped dozens of couples to create stress-free celebrations across Denver and beyond.
In 2020, Tori joined the team. Trained in hospitality and having just planned her own wedding, Tori brings local knowledge, high standards and a smile to every situation. Tori and Alison work seamlessly together and having either of them at your day should make you feel calm, confident and stress free.
At A Bride’s Best Mate, the team is ready to take on all the jobs that you would prefer not to. We know that your wedding is as unique as your romantic bond and will customize your planning to fit your specific needs and budget. From consultation to clean up, we approach every task with a smile and a can-do attitude so that you can enjoy every moment of your day.

In the last few months leading up to our wedding, she was attentive, caring, and so funny! She was willing to make sure we were heard by all our vendors and executed a Vietnamese wedding seamlessly, which is not an easy thing to do! She also has a way with speaking with people, pulling in her connections and relationships that made everyone smooth in preparation of the day!

ng was absolutely wonderful and so much of that is due to how kind and thoughtful Ali was leading up to (and of course during) our happy day. She helped me figure out the schedule for the day, walked through the venue with me and remembered details that would’ve slipped my mind. She also was a super hero and made our day so much fun! Even when the unexpected things happened, ie my bridesmaid’s dress zipper breaking, she brought a lighthearted joy to the situation and sewed her back into her dress. The month before, Alison and her team took special care to make sure that all of the vendors were in order and that each vendor followed their contracts. We created a timeline together and with Alison's help, I could finally envision my wedding day! The day before the wedding I was not stressed and I knew that Alison would manage/direct all of the vendors. Weddings have a lot of moving parts!
On the day of, Alison and Erin ran my wedding like a well-oiled machine. They were both super kind and bubbly while still not taking any bull s**t and keeping to the timeline.
After the wedding ended, they packed up my mother-in-law's car and cleaned the venue. I was able to be happy and present my entire wedding thanks to all of the amazing folks at A Bride's Mate. HIRE THEM!!!

beyond to make sure your special day is your dreamed up fairytale! If something had gone wrong that day I have absolutely no idea because they put it all together flawlessly! They ensured everything, and everyone was where it was supposed to be (even wandering crying family members. When it was time for photos and speeches). Tori and Allison made sure I ate (even hand fed me with a napkin lol), helped me with my bussle, timed out aisle song perfectly, put out at least 30+ boxes of decorations, worked with delivery vendors and Handed out tips, made sure everything was running on schedule, got the venue to agree to let us stay an hour over, and if that wasn’t enough and they were exhausted they even got down on the dance floor with us. In summary they are AMAZING and you’d be crazy to not use them for your special day!

handled the stress of several venders not showing up, with a smile on their face. As a part of the bridal party, I can say that we hardly knew chaos was going on behind closed doors and that was in huge part to these two incredible women.

They, then worked their tails off and rallied the entire vendor team to provide food when the caterer didn't show. They pushed through the incredibly stressful situation. As the night came to a close, I saw my daughter hug Alison and tell her that "if she were ever to have a wedding again she'd want Alison to be her bridesmaid". As a mom, my immediate thought was, Alison didn't work for me....she worked for my daughter. And to hear her say that to Alison after all the no-shows and rescues meant that she did her job and did it incredibly well. It's a great reminder that the planner's job is to support the Bride and Groom. These ladies do it to perfection!

There is no way possible we could have pulled everything off at our 150 person wedding which consisted of 3 bands 3 stages 2 locations, a late-night after-party and 2 giant Rottweilers. I don't even know where to start. First, Alison is AMAZING. She was exactly the person that I wanted in our corner and behind the scenes. She's funny, a dynamic leader, a perfect logistics manager, and has a keen eye for detail. She not only pulled it off but with such a touch of flair that our wedding would have nowhere been as magical as it was without her on our team. She thought of every single detail and handled every hurdle with such grace. Alison, I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart. Tori you as well. The best in the business right here folks and this comes from someone that pulls off 1000+ capacity concerts for a living. This incredible female is a master of her craft.

The day of the wedding her day got started with a 5am wake up call from the hair and makeup person letting her know she was lost…ultimately unable to make it. Alison found last minute makeup people who were incredible. Our caterer also was a no call no show (don’t hire Sodexo ever) and again Alison saved the day with finding a restaurant who was able to provide last minute food. Even if major things don’t go wrong with your wedding, Alison will be the MVP of your big day and make sure you have the time of your life with as little stress as possible.
