Hi! My name is Amanda and I am the owner of Brushed Salon and A Brushed Event. I am located near the Lansing area and have been a licensed artist since 2010. I have a passion for bridal/event hair and makeup and enjoy traveling all over working with bridal parties.
I have a cozy in-home salon where my brides enjoy coming to have their trials done. I would love to work closely with you to create your dream day!

We had Amanda (hair) and Bry (makeup) from A Brushed Event for my wedding and it was amazing! They were so accommodating, even letting me add on an extra person the week of the wedding, and did a phenomenal job with myself and 6 other girls. They had has running ahead of schedule, made sure we were comfortable with our looks, and helped out with little details throughout getting ready that morning. Thank you so much for making my wedding day perfect!

We had a good experience with our makeup artist- she was great with time and coordinating with our hair stylist, and was super nice. The makeup held up very nice; however everyone who had false lashes done had issues with them not being even or falling off not long after getting makeup done. I’m not necessarily sure it was the artist, it might have been just not great lash glue. Outside of that, the pricing and process for booking was great!

They made me and my party look absolutely gorgeous! I loved the airbrush makeup that gave us a more natural look and my hair held all day. Communication was fantastic and trials were a breeze! They were in and out on time too!

Amanda and the make up artist (so sorry, don’t remember her name) did such an amazing job for me and my bridal party for my wedding! A Brushed Event did my hair and makeup at one of my friend’s weddings. They were so great, I knew I had to book them for mine as well. Amanda worked with my early timeline and got a second person to help so we all weren’t getting hair and makeup done for 6 hours. Amanda was very accommodating and easy to work with, especially considering all of my bridal party got different hair and makeup. They were both super nice and my hair and makeup lasted all day (through humidity and rain). Also very fairly priced! So happy with how it turned out.

Amanda is such a talented makeup artist and was so flexible with us through so many changes that came with Covid. She knew exactly the look I was going for. My makeup lasted all day with her airbrushing and I truly felt beautiful all day!

Amanda did a great job. The whole bridal party looked beautiful. The only reason I give her 4 stars is because she didn't quite time herself well. I told her what time we needed to be ready (4:30) and how many girls we had (5) and she told me what time she needed to start (11:00). I thought I was a bit early but knew it would be just her doing everything so I didn't question it. Turns out she's very fast! We were done with almost 4 hours to spare. Of course that meant we couldn't do anything but sit and wait, especially me since I couldn't risk being seen by my groom. I still don't regret hiring her since she was friendly, professional, and did a great job - but make sure she starts at an appropriate time.

I am so impressed with Amanda! She did hair for my wedding, and I absolutely loved how it all turned out. She was so professional throughout the whole process of discussing what I was looking for, to my hair trial (she has the cutest salon at her house!), and executing on the big day despite all the crazy wind and rain. My hair stayed perfect all night! Couldn't say enough about how I happy I am that I went with Amanda for my wedding. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a prepared, talented, and professional hair stylist for their wedding day.
