A Bud and Beyond

Christina with A Bud and Beyond truly did go above and beyond for our wedding! She blew past all my expectations for our decor and made it look dreamy. I had a vision for my wedding after looking at countless Pinterest boards and hoped it could turn our nearly as beautiful. I never thought I would have one of those fairytale weddings that was just as gorgeous as all the pictures I had seen; I thought it was unobtainable... but Christina made it happen! Her creative eye and attention to detail helped to make my wedding the loveliest day I've ever experienced. She was great to work with from the planning stages through the big day! Christina coordinated not only floral arrangements, but the linens and candles as well. I can still remember seeing my bouquet for the first time and smiling because it was more gorgeous than I dreamt it would be! I was completely comfortable and happy to let Christina have creative freedom with my floral arrangements. If you are a bride looking for that beautiful, organic, and effortless-yet-perfect style... look no further! Christina is THE best. Thank you again!

Christina Averkin, of A Bud & Beyond, recently served as our daughter’s wedding designer and florist for her fall wedding at West Shore Cafe & Inn at Lake Tahoe. We cannot say enough great things about Christina's professionalism and creativity! My daughter loved that Christina listened carefully to her ideas from the start regarding color and style, providing ongoing and productive suggestions in response that resulted in a sophisticated, rustic chic event. The clarity and promptness of Christina’s communications with my daughter were especially appreciated since we were planning the wedding from the Bay Area. We didn't meet Christina in person until the weekend of the event. From linens and stationary, altar decoration to bouquets and table arrangements, Christina’s use of color, texture, and variety of flowers, drapery and even fruit, was artistic and truly original. (On a more mundane note, my husband and I were grateful to A Bud & Beyond for working within our budget and never making my daughter feel that her vision was being compromised by cost concerns.) The day of the wedding Christina and her staff were prompt, courteous, and professional in working with the venue staff and other vendors. She was unobtrusive and yet diligent in making sure all the flowers got to the correct recipients. Many of our guests are accustomed to attending lavish, sophisticated social events, and they commented on the gorgeous design elements of the wedding — all thanks to Christina’s vision!

Christina does beautiful work. She is on the more expensive side. And she came across a little pushy at times. Her personality rubbed me, my fiance, and my mother the wrong way, but we realized we didn't need to be friends with the woman, we needed her to do her job and design beautiful arrangements; And that she did!! We hired Christina to design the flowers for our October 2014 wedding at the Hyatt in Incline Village. The bouquets, table arrangements, and arch decor she designed were absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. We were very happy with her work and happy that she would respond in a timely manner (she sent us a quote after our first meeting within the hour!)She's just not a very warm person and didn't seem thrilled when we did not like all of her suggestions.

Loving interior design and decorating so much, finding the perfect florist was key. Christina has the perfect name for her business...A Bud and Beyond. All of the flowers, linens, chair and every little touch. Just in the 1st visit with her, she nailed my vision. Along the way, she helped with any questions I had. She definitely went above and beyond. When I walked in to the reception, it was all I had visioned and more. You will not be disappointed with anything she does. She is AMAZING!!!!!!
