Everything Kim touches is absolutely gorgeou, including her ability to develop beautiful tablescapes, which for us included velvet runner, black candles and her gorgeous center pieces. I would recommend Kim to anyone!

If you love what florals can do to a space and are delighted by the idea of working with someone with great vision, who will make any of your ideas WAY better, then you need Kim! Transparently, I did increase my florals budget in order to execute on some of the ideas we discussed but I knew they were going to transform the space and they absolutely did. I also trusted her with all candles so she could bring it all to life holistically and it was absolutely magical.

Vibrant, full, and both perfect suited my descriptions and styles. All day I would catch glimpses of the team setting up and be in awe of the beauty. I got SO many compliments from the guests on the bud vases on the tables as well as my bouquet (which was incredible). She also personally delivered my bouquet to me as I was getting ready which was so special. I am so excited to be able to work with Kim again for our big celebration in October 2021!

My hairpiece looked like it belonged to a Fall Woodland Nymph! It was beyond my expectations. All of the guests couldn't stop raving about the flowers that night, and in the weeks since. g! And then when I met her, it was an absolute no brainer. My husband and I are huge fans of the outdoors and nature and I could tell immediately that we shared that with Kim. The venue we chose was absolutely beautiful but I wanted to add a boho vibe and I knew the flowers were going to be huge in achieving that feel. The flowers Kim chose for our wedding delivered that boho vibe above and beyond my expectations! The first time I cried on my wedding day was when she gave me my bouquet - it was STUNNING! We got married under an arbor where Kim hung flowers by silk ribbon and glass globes with candles in them. It could not have been more romantic and dreamy. It was literally exactly what I imagined and so uniquely “us”. I think our entire wedding was in awe at how beautiful the ceremony decor was. For our reception - my mom collected over 200 vintage glass bottles as our centerpieces that Kim filled with beautiful flowers and greens. It was exactly what I pictured and it was the perfect addition to the ballroom to create that boho vibe we intended. A few days before the wedding we realized we had collected more bottles than our original contract with Kim stated. She had absolutely no issue getting more flowers for the extra bottles even though we only had a few days left until the wedding! Kim also had some leftover flowers and greenery and was able to create for us an amazing garland runner for our head table that seated 21 people! It was the best surprise! Kim’s talent and attention to detail is impeccable - you can tell that she genuinely wants to create something special and unique for you on your wedding day. Thank you Kim for everything!!

My wife Alycia and I wanted our decorations to bring intimacy and a bit of whimsy to a gilded grand ballroom setting. The result after only a few meetings was nothing short of spectacular. In fact, our decorations looked better than I originally imagined! She included nothing that clashed with our vision, which means she truly listened to us. We asked her to decorate a mandap (altar) for a Hindu ceremony, and then change it up with orbs of light for the exchanging of the rings ceremony. Using minimal materials, she was able to create two different settings in the same room! The centerpieces, bouquets, natural runners, and flowers on the cake all made the day even more special and tied things together thematically—a difficult task considering we combined Indian, Western, and Chinese traditions. 2) Excellent Value- Kim worked with us on our budget, and was not afraid to tell us what options were most important and matched what we wanted, and which ones were less necessary and could be cut to save money. She would reuse items if they could be repurposed for later events during our wedding, which we really appreciated because she could have easily insisted we purchase separate items for each event. Considering the quality of her work often attracts the interest of couples with expansive financial resources, we were fortunate that she agreed to work with us! 3) Dedication to clients- To get the best flowers available, Kim went all the way to New York City to shop at premier flower markets. It was there that she found these unique gray flowers that really added a nice nuance to our color palette. And she knew Alycia and I would like that flower because she took the time to learn all about us (our backgrounds, personalities, and life goals) during our meetings. On our wedding day, Kim made multiple rounds to check up on the bridal party for touchups to bouquets. She and her staff also stayed late into the night for cleanup. Finally, what was most touching was how enthusiastic Kim was about trying new and unfamiliar things. We asked her to decorate a mandap for an Assamese Indian wedding, which we planned by looking at photos. We asked for a traditional floral thyme crown for me, which she decided to mix with rosemary for structural stability. We also asked for red and white flower garlands for the Hindu ceremony, and she learned how to make them by speaking with another florist at the New York City flower markets. These gestures meant so much to us, and they wonderfully illustrate how far Kim is willing to go for her clients. ***Summary: Kimberly and her staff at A Cottage Gardener really transformed our wedding venue in an unforgettable way. They are very skilled at floral decorations, use resources wisely, and show the utmost dedication to their clients. I was planning the wedding long distance and she made it very easy to coordinate over email on my vision and vibe for the wedding with photos, etc. I didn’t really know exactly what I was looking for at times but I gave her a few buzz words and she was able to turn that all into an absolutely magical experience the day of our wedding. Working with Kim was the least stressful part of the entire wedding experience. I was able to completely trust her vision and knew that anything she came up with I would love, it really took a lot of stress off my shoulders knowing she was pretty much able to create beauty with anything she touched. When I first saw my bouquet laid out up against the big windows of my venue & my dress next to it, it really just made everything feel so real and amazing. She was able to capture this emotion and romance in these flowers like I’ve never seen before and it just made me so happy. I know it may sound silly but it just did, she’s THAT good! Our ceremony & reception was so beautiful, Kim captured our romantic and vintage look perfectly, I had so many guests complimenting and talking about how wonderful everything looked and how it tied into the venue so perfectly. So with all that, while she is an amazing florist she’s also an amazing person! On top of all of this, she really got to know you and keep in touch with you throughout the entire process, she made us feel like friends rather than just a client and that was really great. One of the best decisions I made was going with Kim!

going for. Our flowers were amazing. From the church to the bouquets to the center pieces and cake flowers, everything was perfect! Working with Kim was great! She was very quick to respond to emails and easy to get in contact with. On the day of my wedding, a female corsage was missing for our reader, and the woman delivering the flowers really didn't try to offer any kind of resolution. (I would think you would try to make one quickly or do something) And even though I gave a contact person for the day of the wedding, it didn't seem like she was contacted to help disperse the flowers. There was definitely miscommunication for the guys flowers. My husband's father ended up with the ring bearers flower. I never was introduced to this woman previous to the day of, so I felt like she maybe didn't care as much as Kim. Even though, I was disappointed with that experience, I would still totally recommend Kim. She is an amazing florist, the quality of flowers was great, and the designs were beautiful.
