A Couple of Pages

We were recommended Marcus and Katya "A Couple of Pages" through our Day of Planner. Our original photographer had to cancel a few months before the wedding. My husband and I were so picky about the photographer's style that it took us months the first time to choose someone. As soon as I saw A Couple of Pages photos and spoke to them on the phone I knew they were just right for us. I fell in love with with their "slice of life" style and fun portraits. As photographers they made us feel relaxed, and helped to coordinate our large family taking photos in the park across the street from our venue, and then moving to the carousel for photos while riding. As people they felt like the fun wedding guests everyone wants! They even helped us remove some wedding crashers that started to jump in front of the photos they were taking. All around I can't believe my luck that they happened to be available. Our photos came out better than I could have even imagined. They also rushed some photos of my grandma to us a few weeks after the wedding when her health was declining. It was so comforting to us to share those photos with the family when she passed. Thanks again for everything!

Marcus and Katya Page were simply AMAZING! From the very beginning, we had a specific idea of how we wanted our photos done. Marcus and Katya knocked it out of the park! Our engagement photo shoot was epic and the wedding photos blew our minds. We had a very hard time picking out photos for our album because we loved so many of them. It was really important to us to have candid photos and Marcus and Katya were spot on! It is also important to note that although they captured everything and then some, we didn't feel overwhelmed with having a camera in our face. There were multiple pictures that I didn't even realize they took because they were so great at being "invisible". I would 10/10 recommend A Couple of Pages! They were nothing but amazing!!

Marcus and Katya are lovely people and extremely talented photographers. They captured every special moments of our wedding. I've been trying to narrow down which photos to put in our wedding album and it's been a struggle to cut photos because they all are incredible. There's a photo of every moment and of course all the 'must photograph people' (bridal party, family, etc), but I happily was surprised at how above and beyond they went regarding photographing other people - they got flattering photos of all the guests! The photos are warm and natural, capturing the truth of that day. Every person I've shown the photos too has been floored by how amazing everyone looks, while still having a more natural photography style. When going through our photos, I'm instantly transported back to the joyous celebration we had. We did not have a super strict schedule planned out so there were several last minute decisions/changes to the wedding day schedule, and the Pages went with the flow the whole time, capturing every moment as it happened. They're easy to get along with, fun, and professional. The ceremony was held in front of sunny windows in a low lit room. Despite the low lighting, the photos look great. They also had great ideas for poses and staging for our engagement shoots, first look and family photos. They captured all the hilarious moments on the dance floor, and had spur-of-the-moment fun photo ideas during the reception. They helped me plan an outline of the reception when I was unsure of the order of events. I did not expect them to assist with me planning the timeline but I was grateful for the extra help there because I did not hire a wedding planner/coordinator. They had plenty of other vendor recommendations as well. Find their website/instagram and see their work, and you will see the warmth and beauty they find in small moments of an otherwise hectic event (weddings get crazy!). So in brief, the Pages are nice, professional, and will take wonderful photos of your event which you'll truly cherish.

We cannot say enough great things about Marcus and Katya. We were supposed to originally get married in July of 2020. When that couldn’t happen Marcus was so understanding, helpful, and confident that we would make a new plan work. Flash forward to June 2021… restrictions were still up in the air so a month out we changed our plans to a backyard reception. Marcus and Katya made the switch easy and made our backyard look like a dream in their photos. From our engagement session to wedding we always felt comfortable in front of them, even though getting our picture taken was not something that came natural to us. Our pictures came out beautiful and showcased what a fun, perfect day we had. We cannot thank them enough!

Marcus and Katya exceeded all of our expectations. They were able to get great shots quickly, so there was no time for awkward smiles to set in or poses to get weird. They were able to move around the room without being noticed and got fantastic candids as a result. As professionals and parents, they made silly faces and noises and got some of the best pictures of my nephews I've ever seen. Would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Marcus was great to work with and very professional. He answered any question and I had and was able to capture just what my husband and I wanted for photos. We wanted moody colored photos with a mix of old hazy black and whites for a vintage feel. It was so hard to choose a favorite!

Marcus and Katya are an amazing team. They made my husband and I feel so comfortable for both our engagement and wedding shoot and they’re great editors. Thank y’all so much for our forever memories!

Marcus and Katya, who typically do weddings, were kind enough to do a Christmas session for our family in 2019. I came to their page on The Knot to share their information with a co-worker of mine who is beginning to plan her wedding and is looking for a photographer. I saw the one star review from Karen from Illinois (typical Karen) and was shocked to read such nonsense. I’ve kept in contact with Marcus and Katya since our session with them and they are nothing but wonderful, kind people. They’re a growing family who has suffered greatly from this pandemic. Despite the setbacks caused by the pandemic, which almost destroyed their small business (including practically all 2020 weddings being cancelled and half of 2021 weddings being pushed to 2022), Marcus and Katya have continued to stay positive and have worked hard with families and couples (like my family and couples I have referred) to ensure their wedding is documented in the most beautiful way, no matter what challenges COVID has thrown their way. So, if you are looking for responsive, experienced, talented photographers for your wedding or special event, please don’t give that Karen any satisfaction by skipping over Marcus Page Photography. You won’t regret working with them.

Changing their business name does nothing for the crappy customer service they provided during the pandemic. Having our wedding cancelled due to covid, then having to delay, then cancel again because- of COVID. Gave them over 4 months notice and they STILL weren't willing to refund the deposit- even though the contract states they can make the decision to refund based on natural disasters- I believe COVID should be considered one of them. Then, they lied on a public response stating they had offered to come to IL to take some photos. Not true- they never offered that, and considering the state was literally SHUT down, no venues allowed to open, etc during that time, how would that have worked anyway. Just, seriously, disappointed. I WISH we would have had some of the experience that other people have had, but I guess they have the right to choose who they are reasonable with. Would not recommend based on uncertainty with the state of the world and how this couple treats SOME of their clients. Was super excited to book them for our destination wedding on 7/4/2020. We live in IL, and were having family travel to Watkin's Glen to our venue. Because of covid- a worldwide pandemic - we had to cancel our whole wedding. We were going to postpone for a year, but then our venue let us know they were not opening for all of 2021, the pandemic was still in full swing, and we let them know were were cancelling any sort of reception, party etc all together. We asked for our "booking fee "' of over $700 back, as we gave many months of notice for them to rebook etc, but were told no. I pleaded with them, Still a big NO. The contract states that the photographer has the right to choose whether or not they will refund. I am really disappointed that this business owner is deciding to keep our money when this is because of a worldwide pandemic that has caused hundreds of thousands of deaths. They are profiting on the pandemic and it just isn't right. I would not use this business and will make sure to tell everyone on every wedding site not to use them as well.

Marcus & Katya are the BEST!!!! I couldnt Have imagined using anyone else for our wedding! They were extremely amazing to work with. Marcus and katya made us feel extremely comfortable during both engagement/ wedding photos! Not to mention they traveled into the Catskills for us. If you’re trying to plan your wedding during COVID you know it’s stressful but they made it extremely easy and worked with us even with a last min venue change! I’m in love with every photo we received back!

When we first got engaged back in 2018 we started looking for a photographer- lets face it- this is one of the most important decision you make as these are the photos you will look back on for years and years to come. We found Marcus's page on the Knot and set up an appointment with him. The minute we started that meeting, I knew we would be choosing him to capture our special day. He was so easy to talk to and you could tell he had a real passionate for photography. Fast forward a few years and the pandemic had hit, just a few months before our wedding. It was really heartbreaking with trying to reschedule and re plan everything that took us so long to do. Marcus was SO understanding and accommodating. He was with us every step of the way and did whatever he could to help ease the stress of the unknown. We decided to still get married on our original day with a smaller backyard wedding and I truly cannot put into words how amazing Marcus and Katya were. I just can't say enough wonderful things about the two of them. Hands down, the best decision we made was choosing them as our Wedding photographers. When I look back at my photos I relive that wonderful day all over again. I was amazed with how many pictures we received. I would absolutely recommend their services to ANYONE in need of a photographer for their special day. They are wonderful and made our day even more perfect than we could have ever imagined. We cant thank them enough!

My husband and I were married on 10/5/19 on a somewhat chilly fall day. Marcus and his team were amazing and worked around all obstacles! They went above and beyond to help make our day so very special and worked hard to get the pictures we requested at multiple locations. The photos are beautiful and we love to show them off. Marcus and his partner Katya photographed our wedding last weekend, and they were great to work with! Throughout the entire day, they kept the energy up and had great ideas for how to get the best shots (at one point, Katya climbed onto Marcus' shoulders to get the best angle!!). We had a few young nieces and nephews in our wedding, and they did a really great job of keeping the kids happy and getting great photos of them. Most importantly, the photos turned out beautifully. We completely recommend working with Marcus for your next event!!

To say that Marcus was awesome to work with is an understatement! It never once felt like a business transaction while working with Marcus, he was truly part of our wedding day. We knew immediately after meeting with Marcus for the first time that we were going to hire him as our wedding photographer. He has such a great personality and we had an immediate level of comfort with him. My husband and I are both camera shy people so we were nervous for our engagement session which happened to take place on a frigid winter day with temperatures in the teens! Marcus quickly eased our trepidation and made it a fun and easy going experience for us. After seeing how wonderful the engagement photos turned out, we couldn't wait to see what Marcus was going to do with our wedding photos. Wedding day arrived and Marcus was EVERYWHERE, capturing every moment but never once interrupting anything or getting in the way. Numerous family and friends commented on his great personality and his utmost level of professionalism. We didn't have to wait long after our wedding to see our beautiful photos and we are so grateful to have them to cherish for years to come. I am still blown away at how incredible it was to work with Marcus. He was so easy and fun to work with - even considering how awkward it can be to have so many couple-y pictures taken of you. Our engagement pictures were a sneak peak at how great Marcus’ photography is but even those pictures could not have prepared us for how absolutely amazing our wedding pictures were. Marcus captured the day perfectly from start to finish and did so in a way that was effortless for my husband and me. I told Marcus beforehand that I preferred candid pictures vs. staged and there were SO many beautiful candid photos that I didn’t even know were taken until we got the final pictures. Not to underscore the staged pictures because those turned out so beautifully, as well. I cannot recommend Marcus Page Photography enough. We do not have enough words to express our appreciation for the outcome of our wedding pictures AND the lack of stress involved in hiring Marcus and working with him (especially considering how stressful all of the other parts can be). Other quick details: our wedding was at St Louis in Pittsford - kind of a dark church on the inside so I was a little worried about the lighting - pictures/lighting were still perfect. Our reception was at Casa Larga and Marcus Page Photography did an exceptional job capturing the scenic surroundings in our pics. Took so many photos that seemed odd from our perspective but that ended up being some of our favorites!

Marcus is an incredible photographer, he has a gift at documenting special moments that will leave you breathless! Our wedding photos are absolutely amazing! Each of Marcus photos tell a story, allowing us to relive those emotions as if we're right back in that very moment! I wish I had more big events on the horizon just so he could take our pictures again, he is that amazing! I highly recommend him!

Marcus is a true professional. He photographed our wedding day on 9.1.18. He was professional, kind, and thoughtful! He made as feel so at ease on the most important day of our lives. Also, he captures the best candid shots. Thanks for everything Marcus!

One main reason that I selected Marcus was because of his flexible coverage options. I had a small brunch wedding and knew I didn't want a full day photographer. Marcus allows hourly commitments, which worked perfectly for us. He was easy to work with leading up to our wedding day. On the day of, Marcus and his second shooter were wonderful. They were respectful of the event and were not distracting to guests. They checked with us before they left in case we wanted anything else. Our photos were finished up quickly and delivered via mail on a thumb drive. They turned out beautifully. They are bright and captured the day perfectly.
