A Design By Dorann

Our daughter contacted her in January to book her services. Our daughter contacted her in March. She was assured by Dorann that she would help with the layout of the tables for the dinner. The week of the wedding I called and text Dorann. She assured me hair/makeup was scheduled (she did this after talking with me ~ the week of the wedding). She double the day of our wedding. She dropped off the tables and linens. The tables were very dirty. My daughter asked if Dorann would help with the music (click a button to start it), she stated they didn’t do this. Her husband did help us get grandparents to the beach. However, Dorann did state we needed to start 20 minutes before the wedding was to start. It took over 40 minutes to get them to the beach. Therefore it cut into the photographer’s paid time. If you are looking for a rental place ~ maybe. If you are needing a wedding planner ~ NO!

Hired Dorann for a intimate 20 person destination wedding. Started out great, very helpful and quick to respond. We hired her Sept '20 for our May '21 wedding. Two months prior to our wedding, she went radio silent. Everything was pretty planned already (so I thought) so it didn't concern me. Friday evening (night before our wedding), I called her during our dinner to confirm everything for the next day since I hadn't heard from her. She informed me we would not have the driftwood arch we paid for, she would NOT be at our wedding but was sending someone highly qualified and she had not finalize any of the arrangements with for our food (which she was paid for dealing with our other vendors). Day of our wedding, we find out she wasn't at ours (as paid for and agreed upon) because she accepted an additional wedding the same day as ours around March (6 months after we booked and had her paid off at this time). The lady she sent was amazing, however, she was not completely informed on our details. Then the caterer and photographer had be pulled from the jobs we were paying them to do, to do the things we paid Dorann for. My husband and I wanted something very low key, simple and stressfree as possible. My husband was busy running around setting up tables and chairs (what we paid Dorann for again) and other things to the point that he wasn't even able to have any of the oysters and other food that we had catered prior to the ceremony since it was a late evening (sunset) ceremony. He wasn't even able to shower and get ready until the last minute. VERY DISAPPOINTED in the lack of ethics, professionalism and character. I sent and email to Dorann after we got back from our honeymoon expressing everything, have yet to even receive an apology. HIGHLY recommend: Kim Stone Photographer and Beauty By Brink (Stephanie). Kim did an amazing job and was super fun! Stephanie has natural talent in hair and makeup. She did an absolutely beautiful job with mine and the girls hair and make up. Both ladies exceeded my expectations and would recommend 100%!

I found Mrs. Dorann after having many unpleasant experiences with local florists in Port St. Joe. She hands down beat the prices of her competitors and seemed truly interested in what I wanted, not what she wanted me to have or what I thought I needed. She listened to what I wanted, made suggestions when I was unsure of some things and gave me an amazing, no hassle bridal flower experience. She took the pictures that I provided her with and nailed the design and the color combination. When she delivered my flowers on the day of my wedding, I took one look and started crying!! They were soo much more than I thought they would be, I wish I could add pictures to this review so that everyone could see just how beautiful they were!! She's very, very sweet and you can tell she really cares about her clients!! I would use her again and if I ever know of anyone getting married in the Port St. Joe area, I will tell them that they absolutely MUST get Mrs. Dorann to do their wedding flowers!!
