I found my dream wedding dress here and it was the BEST experience I could ever have finding a dress! Lucinda is the sweetest lady and a professional! She made me feel comfortable and confident and was able to capture my vision and make it come true! I highly recommend this place! 10/10!

I was nervous going to try on wedding gowns and worried that nothing would look good on me at 48 and plus sized. Lucinda and Pat were so welcoming, including the personalized welcome sign at the entrance. Lucinda wanted to know about my vision and feel for the wedding and what sort of style I was thinking of. She pulled some dresses I pointed to and some of her recommendations. She showed how an off the shoulder sleeve could be added to a strapless gown to make it fit my requests. All of them fit well and helped us to narrow in on what we liked and what we wanted to adjust. The last dress was the winner and immediately brought me to tears. Pat even brought over a tuxedo that complimented my dress to show how it could look. I was able to get a beautiful Maggie Sottero gown in the perfect fit and style complete with a matching gown in one day! You will not be able to find this sort of in-stock selection and personalized service anywhere.

This was an incredible experience! I had found a dress I liked, but wanted to shop around more and I’m SO glad I did! They made me feel so special and beautiful here and found THE dress for me. A dress I didn’t even know I would want. It was an amazing experience and very fun as well! Highly recommend going to a formal occasion to dress shop.

I visited A Formal Occassion as my one and only bridal shop when looking for my dream wedding dress. Lucinda was extremely helpful and knowledgable when it came to helping me narrow down the perfect vision for me. She is so incredibly kind too, and her energy shows real excitement and passion for brides shopping here. She helped me try on over 10 dresses before pulling an idea of what turned out to be MY perfect wedding dress. We also bought my cathedral veil from here, which was reasonably priced when buying the dress from them as well. Anytime I called with questions she was quick with answers. I recently visited A Formal Occasion in the hopes of finding my dream wedding dress, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. I even told myself that morning that I wouldn’t “say yes”, especially since it was my first day looking. When walking into the shop, I already knew it was going to be special because there was such a cute personalized chalkboard with my name on before we even walked in the door! Lucinda is the most incredible woman, especially when it comes to transforming what could be a daunting, overwhelming experience into something magical. I am definitely not the bride who is going to be overly emotional about dress shopping, but working with Lucinda helped me understand how significant this process can be; when she started talking about how it’s not what the dress looks like but how it makes you feel and tearing up because she cares so much, I joined her in shedding a few tears! Pat was also a lovely addition to the team; he makes you feel right at home and even offered to clean my ring while we waited for the first round of dresses to be selected. The quality of the dresses was outstanding, and the prices were very reasonable considering the high level of service and quality of the products. Overall, I would highly recommend A Formal Occasion to anyone looking for not just another wedding dress shop. This was the best experience I've ever had! So warm and welcoming!! We sat down with the husband wife duo. Lucinda was beyond attentive and was able to ask all the right questions. She was able to help me know when to say no and when to decide it was a beautiful dress just not the right fit for my wedding. I'm terrible with decisions and terrible with being able to say no. She helped me find ways to decide which dress fit my wedding style. This experience was once again the best experience I could've asked for. A Formal Occasion is absolutely PHENOMENAL!! I can’t say enough about this bridal boutique. While it may be small in size the magical moments created here while finding your dream dress is nothing short of amazing. Lucinda and her husband Pat are a great team. From my first call with Lucinda she was a joy. I love that she listens to her brides and really understand your vision for your big day. I came here with my sister in February 2022. This was our third store and we certainly saved the best for last! Lucinda was absolutely wonderful and made my sister feel like the VIP, guiding her through the dress selection process. They went above and beyond anywhere else we’d been, with their unique personalization and even a gift for the bride! We all agreed we could not have asked for a better experience. I cannot say enough good things about A Formal Occasion! My MOH bought her wedding dress there many years ago, so i thought I would stop in take a look. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and at ease. My questions were answered and an appointment was made. When I arrived my name was on the welcome board for the day as well as a special sign in the bridal parlor for me. They made the process easy and listened to everything that I wanted. I ended up purchasing my dress that day and they knew all the right accessories to go with it. I got to sign the board before I left and they kept in touch with me the whole time while I waited for my dress to arrive. I got to pick up my dress yesterday and once again they made me feel comfortable and at ease. I can't say enough wonderful things about them!

My stylist was so attentive and brought me so many beautiful options! I ended up saying Yes! to the second dress I tried on. I will forever recommend this place to anyone looking for a dress!

I had this feeling before I even got there that this boutique would have MY dress! As soon as I walked in, I saw it! I still tried on several different dresses that were all flawless. Everyone was so amazing and welcoming! They really take the time to learn about what you're looking for and all the details of your wedding. Katie helped me all day and she was amazing! They went out of their way to make sure you were taken care of the whole time you were there. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!

Hands down one of the BEST experiences I’ve had while shopping for a dress! This was the first bridal store I’ve been to and it will be my last! I can’t say enough great things about my experience. From the morning of my appointment to when I came home, I felt absolutely pampered. The store owner is so welcoming and inviting and provided the best experience for me and my family. My bridal consultant really listened to my vision and pulled the most beautiful dresses for me to try on and I found my dream dress! I am absolutely in love with my wedding dress and loved every bit of my time at the store. I can’t recommend them enough!

I went here on my first ever time wedding dress shopping and ended up buying the dress of my dreams the same day not to mention the veil of my dreams. Lucinda and Katie are two of the most genuine people I have ever met and made this experience what every little girl dreams of not only for me but my family I brought shopping as well. This wonderful Bridal shop owner helped me turn a wedding dress nightmare into a fairy tale ending! Two weeks before my wedding, I discovered my wedding dress (purchased from another Bridal shop) was unable to be correctly altered! I called this shop on a whim and the precious owner worked me for an appointment the same day! After hearing her calming voice on the phone, I knew this was the place to go! She was so patient and helpful! The shop has a wide variety of styles and the owner seems to know just what you want! She even stayed late and helped with me every detail of my wedding day look! I ended up purchasing the dress she hand picked for me! It is stunning, unique, and perfectly suits my personality! The day ended with pictures with my mother and they even handed me the sweetest gift!! I'm pretty sure the owner of this boutique is my fairy Godmother!!! I can't recommend this shop enough! It's worth the drive even if you are not local!!

Absolutely amazing customer service and experience! I had been to 8 other bridal shops before discovering this gem. From the beginning Katie was phenomenal to work with, she made me feel so comfortable and welcome. Not only did I find THE dress but they even cleaned my ring and stayed open after hours to help my vision for the dress come to life. I would definitely recommend them to every bride!

Imagine being able to walk into a cozy shop that makes you feel instantly a home, greeted by excited and welcoming owners who sit down with you and truly get to know you, your wedding vision, and your preferences, not just the wedding date, while getting a complimentary ring cleaning and a precious gift. Being escorted to rooms filled with dresses from size 0-26, each in every style! It is not hard to see that their goal is to find the RIGHT dress for you, not just a gorgeous one. One that takes your breath away, brings tears to your eyes, and embodies you. Now imagine all of that at an affordable price! Sounds too good to be true, right? A fair warning to you though; if you want the full experience of browsing several stores and trying on lots of dresses, come here last because you will not walk out of this store without a dress in tow. And once you do, you celebrate! You get to sign the wall, have your picture taken with a rose (that you get to keep!) and a sign stating "I said yes to the dress!" If you want an impersonal, in and out type of experience, this is not the store for you. But I HIGHLY recommend this store to any bride looking for a truly personal, authentic, comfortable, fun, and joyous time while feeling glamorous in gorgeous wedding gowns!

This place was amazing! They have all kind of sizes and dont just stop at 8 like many Atlanta shops, the service was just amazing they offer to clean your ring and give you a little gift in the very beginning they really know how to make a stressed bride feel at ease <3

My whole experience with this place was amazing! I cannot say enough good things about the staff. This was my first time dress shopping so I was a little stressed. Before my appointment they really got to know me and asked all the right questions. Upon arrival my party and I were welcomed with great attitudes. I was given a little gift, so sweet! They asked about me and my fiancé, what I was looking for in a dress, and how I wanted my dress to make me feel. I felt super comfortable. They really cared about my feelings through the whole process, not just the feelings of my party. We dressed me up like it was my wedding day to get the right feeling I wanted to feel. Once I said yes to the dress, everyone celebrated and was so happy for me. Tears were flowing. They took pictures of us, gave me another gift and let me sign the canvas with my future last name on it. The process of ordering my dress was so simple and easy. After, I received multiple texts of gratitude and encouraging words. They are so sweet. I love this place and highly recommend them!!

The entire wedding dress shopping experience had me a little stressed and nervous. Everyone at A Formal Occasion made the experience so wonderful and made me feel so special and welcome. I spoke with Katie while booking my appointment over the phone. She spent time with me to ask me questions about my venue, my wedding theme, and things that were important to me on my big day. It was very easy to book an appointment and I quickly got a confirmation email to follow up with the day and time reminder. The day of my appointment I was sent a text with a little sign with my name on it in their bridal salon letting me know they were excited to meet me, it was such a kind gesture and it made me feel welcome and excited to get to my appointment. Lucinda and her wonderful husband Pat helped me , my maid of honor, and my mother during my appointment. She sat down with me and spoke with me about what I thought was important about my wedding dress and how I wanted to express myself. She was so kind and a wonderful listener and was able to quickly understand exactly what I was looking for in my dress and how I wanted to feel. We went through a few dresses, she made me feel like I looked beautiful in all of them and critically listened to what I liked and didn’t like about each one. I had concerns about wearing white because of my pale skin but she quickly addressed that by providing me dresses that did not wash me out. I also had concerns because I am going through a weight loss journey and she was so kind and respectful and able to help me guess what size dress I would need come wedding time. When we finally found the one I immediately knew it was for me and I felt so beautiful. She paired it with the perfect veil and she celebrated with my entourage just like she was a member of the family. She gave me a little gift, let me sign my future last name on her bridal board and had Pat take some pictures with their “I said yes to the dress” signs. It was such a wonderful experience. You’ll be so glad you came here. Can’t say enough wonderful things about them!

So, I have been driving past this place since I was a little girl. We decided to check them out for nostalgia sake if for no other reason--and I am so glad we did!!! All of the little touches they do really make a difference. After submitting my inquiry, the owner called and talked to me for 20 minutes about what I had envisioned for my dress, my venue, and the whole wedding--and she seemed genuinely interested. The day of my appointment, they sent me a text saying they were excited to meet me and even a pic of the little marquee with my name on it. After arriving, I was really impressed with Katie, she sat down talked with me some more about what I was looking for and wanted in a dress. She pulled several styles and had me rule out any I didn't love. We went through pretty quickly and tried on several. After the initial try on, we went back through and tried some others again. (I ended up going with the very first one I tried on). I never once felt rushed or felt like she had any where else in the world to be. She was also not invasive in the dressing room (I've been to some shops and I felt like there was no privacy while trying on the dresses). After purchasing my dress, they took some pics and also sent me a follow up email with the individual photos and a collage. A week or two later, I received a hand written thank you note. I would highly recommend them to everyone I know who is in the market for a dress :)

Katie and the entire team at A Formal Occasion KNOW THEIR BUSINESS. I can not stress enough how much I felt like the only bride in the world to that store. So much of the wedding planning process has been impacted by the pandemic, but buying my gown here was something so special, and it felt so intimate and treasured. I told them exactly what I wanted and my budget, and the gown saved for last was THE ONE. It was very important to me that I feel comfortable and beautiful, and they knocked it out of the park. There are so many parts of wedding planning that are stressful, but in the hands of the staff here, you can be assured that it will be soothing and elegant.

I visited multiple bridal shops to find my gown and A Formal Occasion gave me such a special experience and really made me feel comfortable and prioritized. The staff so so friend and are genuinely excited for you to find your dress and have a great experience. I had the whole place to myself and they listened to my requests and were not pushy at all. My top two dresses were dresses I would t have picked for myself but after hear what I was looking for a went ahead and tried them on and I k re immediately when I found THE ONE. They really go out of their way to celebrate you and make you feel special.

Listen, this experience was by far the best I could have asked for! Me, my mom and my grandmother had been to 2 appointments earlier in the day at other boutiques. Both of those appointments were such a disappointment, and we were all feeling really discouraged. We happened to drive by a Formal Occasion, and I recalled seeing them mentioned on my venues IG. So we stopped so I could go ahead and see if they had anything that I was willing to make an appointment to try on. As luck would have it,Katie had just finished with her last bridal appointment, and was more than happy to squeeze me in right then and there. From that point on it was only up from there! The whole team here were just completely amazing. They seemed genuinely excited for you. They were also super personable l, which is something rhe other boutiques lacked. I'm still so floured with how kind everyone here was. I found an amazing dress, and absolutely cannot wait to say I do in it. Thank you so much Katie for your time amd patience. Also. I wish I could leave a 10.... We stopped in because we was in the area to see if you needed an appointment. It was almost closing time so we said we didn't mind scheduling an appointment and coming back. The people treated my daughter and I & my mother AMAZING... We went to 2 other places first and when I tell you this place blew them out of the water. Hands down. Even the selection of dresses are better. I couldn't believe how great of customer service they provided even at closing time. I highly recommend this place. " She said YES to the dress".

Immediately upon entering A Formal Occasion, we were greeted with a bubbly and energetic Lucinda! Everything she did from that first moment was completely personalized and thoughtful. My name even appeared on signs to dedicate my bridal space! She sat me down to interview me about what I was looking for and then led me around to pick out dresses. She made a very overwhelming task seem manageable. Lucinda stayed with us for a full 2 hours until I found the dress of my dreams (which happened to be the first one I tried on). She coached me and supported me through every dress. She also made suggestions about adding details and alterations that completely transformed an otherwise simple dress. I was made to feel confident and excited by the end of my appointment, which was not what I was expecting earlier in the day. THANK YOU for allowing me to find my perfect dress at your boutique. I had such an amazing experience at A Formal Occasion! They had availability to fit us in immediately that day, and after one unpleasant experience and a mediocre experience, they were a breath of fresh air. Even though I was a last minute appointment, I never felt like I was just penciled in or just a spot to fill. They made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. They truly listened and heard what I said I liked and didn’t like. The staff definitely has an eye for what the bride is looking for, and she was able to pair a beautiful veil with my dress with no problem and give suggestions for jewelry and hair that will fit the style. They gave my mom and I space to browse by ourselves and set everything up for me to try on dresses without a hassle. My mom was able to sit back and watch as I tried on dresses, and the staff helped me in the different dresses and clip me in before showing my mom. This was the only place that offered us some water, not a must while dress shopping but it’s definitely a plus and makes it a more personable experience, and they also did a ring cleaning while we were there. I would highly recommend them for a more personal and intimate experience that is hassle free and stress free. Thank you!

This cute little boutique is the only place you will need to go to find the perfect dress you’ve always wanted. My girls and I had so much fun and felt safe working with the staff. We had the whole place to ourselves and they took care to notice every detail. They were perfect.

The customer service you will receive here will blow ALL the others away. They have very unique dresses and work very closely with you make sure they can make your dreams (as unclear as they may be) a reality. The consultants know what questions to ask to help you get to the best dress possible. I needed to take my dress home that day and they are willing to make anything off-the-rack for you.
