This is not the first time we have worked with A Grand Affair, and it will not be the last! Absolutely everything was perfect, the food was delicious, and the staff is kind and thoughtful. Thank you for making our wedding day perfect!
My fiancé and I scheduled a taste testing a month ago and were told at that point our wedding date was available. Today, which is the date of our taste testing, we get an email (apparently they called my fiancé but a message was not left on his...
phone; I did not receive a call) less than three hours before our appointment to cancel and tell us that our date was claimed.
We were not informed from the time we scheduled our taste testing to today (12/6/18) that there were other inquiries for our wedding date. We are extremely disappointed with their business tactics and will not recommend them in the future.

s for the manner on how we’ve handled your tasting appointment to sample our menu items. I understand your disappointment and agree this was unacceptable cancelling within a few hours notice of the appointment. I felt that it was best to cancel since we couldn’t provide the very best service for this couple on their special day. Their time traveling 50-60 minutes to our location would have been wasted by completing the tasting and we couldn’t accept their event retainer. Nor would I ever want to accept an event for monetary value or cancel a booked event if we couldn’t adequately provide services.
We’re known for our exceptional attention to detail, great food and service. Therefore, I regret that we missed the mark with this couple and their family. We have implemented an action plan and have reviewed all future dates to ensure that situation as this would not take place again. This case was exceptionally rare case as we have communicated.
Again, we are truly sorry for this negative experience. On behalf our team we wish you both the best.
We tried a number of Pittsburgh area caterers and selected A Grand Affair Catering. The value was hard to beat as they include everything needed for your reception such as the linens, china, servers, etc. The food we had at the private tasting ...
was delicious, and they were very accommodating when it came to my gluten allergy. Nikki was our event coordinator and reviewed every detail from the beginning of the reception to the end of evening which made our planning easy. We received our personalized quote in a few days after the tasting which lists the entire menu, services and rentals. From my perspective on our big day; not only was the food outstanding and the service flawless, but everyone we communicated with was warm and helpful. Our guests said they really enjoyed the food and it was the best they’ve had in a very long time. We highly recommend A Grand Affair Catering. Kudos to the Chef’s Ken and Kristopher on the delicious food.

The food provided by A Grand Affair was wonderful. We received so many compliments on how delicious everything was. Kris and his staff were very kind and even helped elderly family members get their food. Would definitely recommend!
Checked out other catering and was so happy when I found Kris. His food is excellent and his professionalism is reassuring that the wedding will be a little less stressful knowing he has everything under control. Looking forward to 8-5-17.
