At A Jour Jewelry in Bristol, Rhode Island, we create bespoke engagement rings, wedding bands, and one-of-a-kind fine jewelry with an uncompromising commitment to craftsmanship and personal service.
I'm Klaus Kutter, a Swiss-trained master jeweler with decades of experience, including work in Geneva and Milan. My training shaped the standards I bring to every piece: thoughtful design, precise construction, lasting comfort, and meticulous finishing. Today, I work alongside my son, Max. Together, we offer a personal experience that is increasingly difficult to find: you work directly with the people who design and make your jewelry.
Every project begins with a conversation. We listen to your ideas, learn about your style and how you plan to wear your jewelry, and help you explore diamonds, colored gemstones, precious metals, and design possibilities. Whether you prefer a timeless solitaire, distinctive wedding bands, or a completely original design, we guide you through the choices without pressure.
We develop your design through sketches and realistic computer renderings so you can see the proposed piece before fabrication begins. We combine traditional European goldsmithing techniques with modern technology, using whichever methods best serve the design.
All of our jewelry work is performed in-house, from design and fabrication to gemstone setting and final polishing. That hands-on approach allows us to oversee the details that matter: proportions, durability, comfort, and the quality of the finish.
We also enjoy redesigning treasured family jewelry. An inherited diamond or gemstone can become part of a new engagement ring or wedding band, preserving its meaning while creating something personal for the next generation.
As a father-and-son team, we take pride in knowing our clients and standing behind our work. Our goal is not simply to sell a ring. It is to make the design process clear, collaborative, and enjoyable—and to create beautiful jewelry that feels truly yours and can be treasured for generations.
