Words could never describe how AMAZING Austin is. His work speaks for itself, just take one look at his portfolio and you will fall in love. My face doesn’t love the camera (I always thought I only had one good side) but Austin someone managed to make me look gorgeous from EVERY angle. THANKS AUSTIN!! (My husband is basically a super model so he looks good no matter what… He didn’t have anything to stress about when it came to taking our photos LOL.) When we first met with Austin I knew right away that he would be the photographer to shoot our wedding. He is very laid back, funny, and when you talk to him you feel like you are talking with an old friend. I am already awkward enough in front of a camera, I don’t need to be any more awkward by having someone I don’t feel comfortable around taking my photo. To top it off, Austin is very responsive to emails, easy to get a hold of, and an all-around great person! For our engagement photos, I was bent set on shooting both in Downtown L.A. and at the beach. Anyone who knows LA traffic should know that accomplishing this AND having enough time to shoot at each location would be tough. Austin mentioned the possible time constraints but knew that I had my heart set on it regardless and he didn’t make us rush when we took our photos. He took his time getting perfect shots in BOTH locations and didn’t nickel and dime us when we went WELL over our allowed time. When we completed our timeline a month before the wedding I realized that I would need to book additional hours with Austin. We were already way over budget but I contacted him about tweaking our photo package anyway. I think he could sense my level of panic so he offered me a custom photo package that not only fit our timeline but also our budget! Austin is seriously the greatest, I do not think any other photographer would have worked with us like he did. Before seeing the photos Austin took, I felt confident that we nailed it when we took our engagement photos. I felt the exact opposite about our wedding photos… I was hot and sweaty, I kept wiping my makeup off my face, I was distracted, etc, etc… Basically I was a hot MESS and I was sure our wedding photos would show it. I was totally wrong! As much as I LOVED our engagement photos, I love our wedding photos 1,000,000x’s more! Austin is a TRUE artist, it’s hard to believe that he doesn’t charge more for what he does. If you want an amazing experience and an even more amazing photographer (that will give you photos that you will cherish for a lifetime) HIRE HIM immediately!!! You can thank me later ;-)

Wow. Austin is top notch, and my wife and I cannot recommend him highly enough. We met with several photographers prior to our July wedding, and Austin blows them out of the water. Believe what's on his blog and the samples he'll show you...that's what our wedding photos look like! We had a difficult wedding to shoot: sunset, outdoors, and then night. There was a ton if tricky lighting, and Austin made it all work. Beyond his work being the best I've ever seen, Austin's just an awesome guy. He got creative with our photos, becoming a partner who helped us design some shots. He was so accommodating of our requests and worked with us on some tricky logistics. Truly, you should choose Austin. Best wedding decision...except for, you know, the wife.

It is no coincidence that Austin and "amazing" start with the same letter - they are one and the same. We booked Austin for our engagement shoot and our wedding and were not only impressed/moved by his (and his team's) dedication to our days (we had a loooooong wedding day), but our jaw's literally hit the floor (ok not literally, that would be a problem) when we saw our pictures. He's fun, energetic and creative. He makes standing in front of a camera seem natural. And most of all, something that newlyweds get anxious about, he is timely with the photos. Thank you, Austin!

A O'Brien Photography shot my engagement photos and wedding. He is extremely friendly and professional. He picked out great locations for the engagement photos and suggested great "poses" that turned out beautifully. My husband and I are certainly not comfortable in front of the camera, but he made us feel at ease and not awkward. For the wedding, he was simply the best! He was able to wrangle all the family members together quickly and efficiently so that the bridal party wasn't stuck doing photos forever. The pictures he took during the ceremony and reception were beautiful candids. They are my favorite and I never noticed him taking them. He is very creative, and my photos were unique and didn't just mimic pinterst trends. Since my wedding, I used him again for family photos. He got dozens of great shots of my very active 9 month old. That is not easy! Overall, I highly recommend him! I plan to use him again and again. I tell all of my friends and family about him, and he is shooting my sister in law's wedding next month.

Austin is absolutely amazing at what he does!! To start, Austin works out of Pasadena, and we live in Santa Monica and were married in Temecula, CA. Austin had no problem meeting us in a variety of locations all around Los Angeles County and down in Temecula for the engagement photos and wedding photos. He is extraordinarily friendly and very easy to work with, while equally professional and organized. We were immediately comfortable with him and that's a huge part of making wedding photos work. If the photographer makes you feel uncomfortable, the pictures will reflect that. But most importantly, Austin's work is second to none! Everyone compliments us on our engagement and wedding photos. He does extraordinary work, at a price that is quite a bit more reasonable than his competitors. He has an amazing eye and an amazing talent. He captured stunning shots of our wedding that we will cherish forever. I would absolutely recommend Austin to anyone in the area looking for a photographer. Selecting a photographer can be burdensome. I mean seriously, there are hundreds and hundreds of wedding photographers to sift through. But if you are reading this, look no further because I have done the countless hours of homework for you…. Wedding photographer: Austin O’Brien. Done. And done. You can check that off your list. Okay, let me give you the details on him and his team. Prior to meeting Austin, I read every review on him, looked through his online blogs and portfolios, and reviewed his Facebook page. So by the time I was done, I pretty much knew that he would be my wedding photographer. All I had to do was meet him to seal the deal. My husband and I met Austin at his studio in Pasadena over a cup of coffee. We instantly took a liking a to him. He's laidback, knowledgeable, super friendly, and professional… all at the same time. We instantly booked him for an engagement session and our wedding day. Fast forward to our engagement session…. Austin helped us choose not one but two locations! We spent the day with him and his assistant, which was super fun! We got to know him a little better, and Austin’s personality helped us feel more comfortable in front of the camera. When we saw the photos, I was truly amazed! The lighting, the poses, the candid shots, and his unique style made our photos gorgeous! The weeks before my wedding day, Austin was very helpful! He even met me at my wedding venue to do a walk through! Having him as my photographer alleviated so much stress. I knew I could count on Austin to deliver nothing but the best. Moving on to my wedding day… The day was PERFECT, and I was on cloud 9! Austin and his team were there from start to finish, and they did an AMAZING job capturing every memorable moment. He had the perfect balance between traditional photos (posed) and candid shots. I received so many compliments about Austin and his team. I received my photos in a very timely manner, and I will admit that I cried a little bit… when I saw all my photos, it literally took me back to my wedding day and brought back all the emotions I was feeling that day. I think that says a lot about his photographs... the ability to capture emotion is a rare talent, and Austin has it. Thank you, Austin, for capturing our special day!

Choosing A. O'Brien Photography was the best decision we made planning our wedding. Not only is he incredibly talented with the camera, but he was such a nice and caring guy. It was really important to us to hire someone we trusted and felt like we could communicate ideas to, and Austin was just perfect throughout the planning process. We first got to test out Austin during our engagement photos and loved the experience. We were nervous at first, since we aren't exactly what I would call photogenic, but the photos blew us away at how beautiful and cool they were. They were shot with a unique style that was very personalized to us. We told him we wanted a mix of romantic and edgy photos and that's what he gave us! He also traveled to 2 very different locations that we wanted, and that meant so much to us. By the time the wedding came around, I was pretty stress-free about how the photos would turn out, and being a stress-free bride is such a priceless experience. (I wish I was that stress free about all our vendors!) He showed up early with his assistant and got every shot we talked about. He was also really great about not getting in the way of the wedding, and views of the guests, if you know what I mean. We received so many glowing reviews from our guests about our upscale photographer with the fancy equipment! He was always going out of his way to find the perfect angle and has such vision for getting the right shot. I don't even know how he made our venue look as good as he did! We received sneak peak photos 4 days after our wedding which made this girl super happy on our honeymoon. I would definitely recommend Austin for beautiful professional photos personalized to you. Austin is an amazing artist! He will be my photographer at my destination wedding in Hawaii and I cannot be more excited! The pictures on his website impressed me, and as soon as I met him all of my apprehension about finding the right photographer vanished. I feel 1,000 % confident that I chose the right guy for the job. Not only is he SUPER professional and creative, he listens to what you want, he is very accommodating to your needs, and he is extremely kind and funny. Also, he seems like a very genuine person, which is important to me. I'll update my review once I get the end results, but I'm just so THRILLED about Austin that I can't keep it to myself! One word: phenomenal! We reached out to Austin initially for our engagement photos, but when we spoke, we knew immediately we would also book him to be our photographer for our summer destination wedding in Montana. We loved not just his art but also his professionalism and his personality. I think a great photography experience requires comfort with the photographer: Neither my fiancé nor I particularly love being in front of the camera, nor did we think the camera particularly loved us either! But Austin has a way that makes you feel instantly relaxed, and he captured our relaxation and our natural personalities in our recent engagement session. We were floored when we received our photos! We took a mix of urban and natural and playful photos, and every single photo was stunning and, still, "us"(just surprisingly photogenic versions of "us"!)
