Farrell was very courteous, professional, and helpful. He had a meeting with us prior to our wedding and went over many fine details we may not have otherwise considered. He downloaded all of the songs we desired, even some unusual requests. He helped keep our wedding on track as our venue’s coordinator left something to be desired in that area. He coordinated with our photographer well. He was friendly, personable, and punctual. I would recommend him any time!

Farrell was amazing from start to finish- if you, like my husband and I, have never planned a wedding before: don't fear: Farrell knows exactly what he's doing and will help guide you through the process, while making sure you have the right voice in the process to make the whole thing uniquely yours. He thought of details we would never have considered, and everything ran super smoothly as a result of his preparedness and experience. The dance floor was never empty: basically, you can't go wrong using A Sharp and my husband and I can't recommend him strongly enough!

Farrell did an absolutely fantastic job. He really took the reins and perfectly MC'ed the evening with true professionalism. I can not be more pleased with his service. The music was exactly what we asked for, and he knew what our crowd was enjoying and make the event run flawlessly. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

My husband and I cannot recommend Farrell enough! He is quick on his feet and ended up saving us money and hassle by rearranging the wedding schedule after it was thrown off by a different vendor. He is accommodating, responsive, and charismatic in his interactions with us and our guests. He gives great attention to detail and tailors his set to the audience. His setup was top-notch and the dance floor was packed all night!

We recently had Farrell DJ and MC our wedding in Castle Rock. From the pre-wedding prep to the day of, Farrell was extremely helpful and professional. Picking Farrell was one of the best decisions we made in our vendor selection process. He really took his time with us in selecting music for the entire event and it could not have turned out better. Not only did he work with us, but he also coordinated with our friend to play music over their slideshow. We loved working with Farrell! He has flexible packages and was willing to work with us to specialize to our needs and budget. His equipment was top notch and we never had a moment of doubt with him. His professional demeanor and experience in the industry set him apart. Honestly, by the end of our wedding it felt like he was part of our family! The song selection that he had available was remarkable and he had thorough knowledge of his catalog to make suggestions and offer ideas when we got stuck. He works with you one on one to design your wedding experience and aesthetic. Our engagement lasted a little extra long when we had to reschedule and he was understanding, accommodating, and patient with us. I’ve been telling people non stop the best thing we did was hire Farrell Woods to make our special day magical!

Farrell did an absolutely fantastic job at our wedding. We were so impressed by his professionalism and his preparedness. We didn't hire a wedding coordinator for our wedding day and we didn't need to because of Farrell! He ran the day from start to finish and kept both of us up to date and well informed on what would be happening next and where we were in our timeline. We didn't have to worry about a thing! This was possible because of the extremely thorough meeting we had with him before. He suggested things we didn't even know we wanted! As someone who grew up in a family of musicians, music on my wedding day was very important to me. I knew that our DJ had to understand our eclectic style in music, but also be able to incorporate both Brazilian and Latin music as I am from Brazil, my husband is American, and many of our guests were from several Spanish-speaking countries. Farrell worked with us on creating a mix of music that would please all of our guests. He was responsive throughout the process, patient as I changed my plans and ideas many times, and understanding of our needs as a destination wedding couple. On the day of, he kept us on schedule, helped us to anticipate issues before they occurred, and managed to MC an amazing party without ever taking the spotlight off of us, or being too overbearing on the microphone. We've all seen or heard of those DJs who take over parties by talking too much on the mic - Farrell is most definitely not one of them, but still manages to keep the party going. There is no greater testament to Farrell's work than seeing the dance floor at our reception - it was PACKED from beginning to end, and guests from all over the country and several other countries danced and had fun as if they had known each other their whole lives. I would recommend Farrell to anyone seeking a DJ. He is truly amazing, and I am confident that he played a major role in our wedding being the most fun day of our lives, and for many of our guests- the most fun they've had in a while! My husband and I were very highly impressed with A Sharp DJ Service. From the beginning he was very fair in pricing, and up front about what services he could offer that outshone competitors. He was very helpful in selecting appropriate music that matched our style as a couple AND that matched our wedding mood! We would have been helpless without his input! The many years of dedicated experience he has put into this career shines during the wedding- He is professional, respectful, and so well organized that our wedding went off without problems! DJ Farrell showed up plenty early and made sure to keep the event moving without stealing the show. Prior to the wedding he spent time to understand our tastes and lay out the schedule of the wedding. He would recommend certain things but made sure at the end of the day it was the songs we wanted and the timing we wanted. Overall we would highly recommend him.

DJ Farrell exceeded expectations. He was extremely punctual, especially with his communication. I’d even consider him to take on the role as our event coordinator as he provided us with the adequate support and knowledge required to organize and structure the flow of the day most efficiently. Farrell did a great job at our wedding. He was extremely professional and made the necessary announcements without making himself the center of attention. Plus, he really knows his music and what to play for what audience--our guests told me they loved the music! And he was willing to familiarize himself with foreign music for our multicultural wedding, and make us a special mashup for the first dance. Overall, I highly recommend his services!

My wedding would not have been as fun or stress free without A Sharp DJ Service. Farrell kept everything running super smoothly. The music was a great volume, the lighting was excellent, the timing was perfect. If you have been debating on whether a DJ is worth the money take my advice, hire one. Farrell was a rare DJ who could play a mix of 1940's swing, country and motown. He knew how to keep it lively and cater to the crowd and still satisfy the clients. Highly recommended!!!

Farrell was fantastic before and during our wedding. His equipment sounded and looked great. He both helped us work on a playlist when we weren't sure what we wanted yet, and when we make up our minds, was happy to play what we requested. He jumped at the opportunity to add anything we thought of to his licenced song library.

We did not end up going with Farrell for our wedding but he was incredibly easy to work with as we went through the process of finding our DJ. Hi Farrell, Just wanted to thank you for the fantastic job you did at our daughter's wedding last June at Cheyenne Mountain Resort! You managed everything so well and so discreetly from the wedding throughout the entire reception that everything flowed together beautifully! You kept the music going but also announced those special moments very kindly that you were able to capture everyone's attention so that none of the guests missed any of the special moments. One of my special favorite moments was a Tony Bennett song "Because of You" that I personally requested for my Mother. It was my parent's special song (my father is no longer with us) and you were able to research it and find it so that you could play it for my Mother to dance to - very memorable, thank you :) (she cried!) The cake cutting was another of those special moments that I appreciated your attention - you stopped the music and announced it very clearly so that everyone's attention was on the Bride and Groom at that moment, so fun! We attended a wedding where the DJ continued to play music, and the head waiter was talking loudly to try to get everyone's attention during the cake cutting, but unless you were standing 3 feet away from the cake you did not hear the announcement. Unfortunately 95% of the 200 guests missed the whole thing because the DJ did not take over, and only realized it was over when the cake slices were being passed around. Your attention to detail was 5 star and I would use your services at our next wedding but unfortunately we are out of daughters! I HIGHLY recommend your DJ company to everyone!! Farrell did a wonderful job ensuring our wedding moved along as planned, despite a nearly 30 minute delay in the start (of no fault of his own)! From the first introductory call, through the planning meeting and through the big day, he was very attentive and made sure all of our needs and expectations were met. He has a great selection of music (and extras!) and is fully willing to attain anything he does not already have (and we had some obscure requests). He also makes sure the bride and groom are the utmost priority!

Farrell was an absolute dream of a DJ! He met with us twice before the wedding, and made our preferences a priority when creating his playlists. He made sure to run everything by us and to suggest some crowd pleasers, and we have gotten nothing but great feedback from our guests! Everyone stayed on the dance floor until the very last song. It was an incredible party. :) Also, he went through the trouble of creating a special father/daughter dance song mashup for me at my request. It was a strange request, but super meaningful to me and to my dad, and Farrell made sure it was perfect. I cannot recommend A Sharp Service highly enough!!!

Farrell was very professional & easy to work with at our daughter’s wedding. The dance floor was very busy the whole night, and people even kept dancing during a light rain. No one wanted to stop the fun. Farrell played great music & made the reception so much fun. I highly recommend him.

We had Farrell DJ/MC for our wedding cocktail hour and reception at Copper Mountain on 9/2/17. He did a wonderful job - I would highly recommend him to other brides. His packages were priced well, he has great equipment and was set up well in advance of when we needed him to start (and always brings an entire extra set up which was great for our peace of mind in case anything went wrong), he has a commanding voice that people pay attention to (helpful when you need people to sit down for dinner, etc.). He was friendly and easy to work with, and did a great job incorporating everything that we wanted into the reception (all our specific song requests, the timeline of the evening, etc.). Something unique about Farrell is that his speakers don't blast out your ears even when you're standing right in front of them, and they are designed in a way that the music is plenty loud when you're on the dance floor, but doesn't overpower the whole room (off of the dance floor you can still have a conversation in a normal voice). Not sure how his equipment does this, but it was a great perk. He did a great job noting what people were dancing to/not dancing to, and playing more of the types of music that people got up and danced for. He moved the evening along very well. We really did not have any complaints when it came to his professionalism, performance, or anything else. Farrell, thank you so much - we will definitely be recommending you to all of our friends getting married in the future and encourage everyone reading this review to check him out!

DJ Farrell was amazing. He did an excellent job organizing everything from start to finish and really ensured that the whole wedding was planned out perfectly from a music perspective. We met with him a month before to go through all of the details and he was really helpful in planning out all of the small details. He was very prepared with backup plans in case anything were to go wrong and he had a huge selection of music to choose from. We wanted a pretty specific list on music and he accommodated us very easily. Our big day at the Barn at Evergreen Memorial park was perfect and everyone loved the music selection and quality of the sound system he provided. He also did a great job with the Microphone for our officiate and the sound at our outside ceremony. Not to mention he is a very nice and friendly guy who captivates the audience and keeps people laughing and engaged all night. Highly recommend him for any wedding in the Denver area, best DJ I have encountered at a wedding although I might be biased because it was my own :) Thanks again Farrell!!

Farrell did a wonderful job at our wedding! We did not follow the traditional timeline for our wedding and Farrell did an amazing job working with our timeline! He did an excellent job as our DJ and made sure things ran smoothly.

Farrell DJ'ed our wedding at Deer Creek Valley Ranch on 8/27/16 and he was both reasonably priced, and great! He had done a number of weddings and events at our venue previously and, as a result, was incredibly efficient and well-versed with the setup of the space. He transitioned all music well for both the ceremony and reception, and had only a small hiccup during the time we did a bouquet and garter toss (his phone died while we were outside for these activities and the problem was resolved within 30 seconds). We both love country music and his knowledge of the genre was really helpful for us as he was able to play truly dance-able music, rather than just current hits. Most important to us was that he was not obnoxious or overly talkative throughout the night. And to illustrate his attention to detail: we had a song that was especially meaningful to my (the bride's) family that we requested he play during cocktail hour. He took special note of this song and instead played it during a time where it was a bit quieter right before dinner so that everyone could hear it. This was so special for my family and even my dad commented what a great job he did finding the right time for that song. We are so glad we used A Sharp DJ Service for our wedding, and absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a great wedding DJ.

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ! He supplied music for both the ceremony and reception, and served as emcee to make sure everything was on time. He had a great music selection, and really knew how to work a crowd. Farrell was amazing!

I used DJ Farrel Woods, and I am so happy I found him. I had been to a couple weddings with horrible DJs so I was really picky when I was selecting my DJ. We met with him twice for a good amount of time before the wedding, one was an initial meeting where we could talk about things in general, and then again about a month before the wedding so we could go over everything in detail. He gave us a sort of worksheet to fill out with our preferences, and that was a huge help to start organizing things. You can tell he's been in the business for quite a while, and his experience is very comforting, he led us through everything so smoothly. He really helped make the wedding and reception flow very well, and everyone was responding to the music he played. All of our guests kept saying how wonderful he is! We were also able to rent uplights from him, which completely transformed our reception venue. I couldn't be happier with the services he provided us!

We were running low on money and still needed a DJ and we found A Sharp DJ Service. Farell was very nice and funny. He showed up on the wedding day early and prepared. He did a good job at reading people and playing the music he thought would work best. A few MUST play songs got left out and it was hard to understand him at times but it was pretty good overall. The lights he has are rainbow colors and a few guests said they were a little overwhelming but nothing too bad. You can always tell him you do not want them. He's a great guy with a casual humerous side

We worked with Farrell from A Sharp DJ service for our wedding this August and were absolutely THRILLED with his services. We couldn't have been more pleased with his level of professionalism, charm and overall knowledge. I'm not sure we realized what an integral role the DJ plays in a wedding, but it became so apparent once the reception began. Farrell walked us through each step, stayed on top of the timing, and seamlessly introduced every event without being intrusive. We sat down with him before the wedding and walked through all the songs we wanted, which he either already had in his library or bought specifically for us. He advised us on the flow of all the music and spoke intelligently about the perfect combination of fast/slow songs to keep people entertained but not exhausted. Needless to say, our dance floor was hopping all night long. We also asked Farrell to mic our outdoor wedding, which turned out perfectly. He even created a BEAUTIFUL song that incorporated our vows, which he recorded as a special gift. I would say he went above and beyond our expectations. He was humble, not showy like many other DJs we came across. He took charge when necessary, but was very flexible throughout the whole evening. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an energetic, fun, and well-timed reception.
