We booked A Sound Choice Entertainment for our August wedding based on the recommended vendor list from our venue (Abernethy Center), and we did not regret it one bit! Anthony was easy to work with, had clear and quick communication, and included an easy-to-use/wonderfully useful planning tool on his website. He was extremely professional and kind during our wedding and had no problems incorporating my eclectic mix of video game and fantasy music during our ceremony and reception. Our wedding was a mix of dancers and non-dancers and he kept the music balanced and helped our timeline proceed smoothly. We loved working with Anthony and HIGHLY recommend A Sound Choice Entertainment for your wedding!!

We hired Anthony for our June, 2024 wedding and he was excellent! His online planning tool helped us stay on track with our planning when it came to the music. He was attentive and worked well with our other vendors. Our guest count was only 40, so we were worried no one would dance, however, we had almost everyone up on the dance floor all night and it was a BLAST! Anthony is an easy choice when looking for a DJ.

Picking a great DJ was one of the things we cared most about. We were recommended Anthony by our wedding venue, and we couldn’t have chosen anyone better for the job! He is the definition of a professional. He seamlessly coordinated the songs in our processional just how we wanted them and it really set the tone for a beautiful ceremony. A DJ does more than play music, they help to keep the celebration going and ensure the timeline of events are followed. This allowed us to have a stress-free ceremony and reception and truly be present to enjoy our wedding day. Anthony is very communicative and ensures that what you’re wanting out of the experience is met. He communicated with our coordinator and photographer throughout the day as well. It’s evident that he is highly experienced and his ability to work on a team is exceptional. When we booked him as our DJ, he had us fill out a survey that allowed us to coordinate with him the timing of the day, what kind of songs we wanted for dancing (you can be as hands-on or hands-off as you want for this—he has an extensive library to work off of, but allows you to provide Spotify playlist if you want to provide more specific direction as far as songs go). This survey helped us think of details we might otherwise have missed when planning our day. It was so helpful in the planning process and led to a very smooth wedding celebration! On the wedding day, he arrived early to set up the audio free of charge. The audio quality was fantastic and all mics worked without any difficulties. One thing I really appreciated was when he dismissed tables for our buffet, he went around individually to tables and dismissed them. This prevented large lines from building up and made it so we didn’t have to have assigned seating. We loved that!! He communicated ahead of time with folks giving toasts or doing dances. Anthony pays attention to fine details like pronunciation of names and where each mic will sit. It’s these small details that probably go unnoticed in a DJ’s line of work—because it’s only when things go wrong that you might notice them. Nothing went sideways with Anthony—it was a seamless day, a wonderful celebration, and our guests had an amazing time! The audio quality, coordination, communication, and outstanding professionalism make Anthony a great choice for any wedding! We will continue to recommend him to all our friends and family.

Anthony was an outstanding piece of our magical wedding day! The guests, mostly consisting of mid-20-somethings, were dancing all night, and the older relatives also found plenty of songs to love as well. He ran our ceremony music masterfully, working with the venue manager to cue the processional songs perfectly. We cannot say enough good things; the wedding couple was thrilled. Thank you!

Anthony was great! We choose a wedding venue that made for a complex DJ set up as there were A, B, and C layout plans to account for possible weather. Anthony was flexible and helped us find the best option for sound and music set up. Most importantly he helped make the right call on the day of! He was the MC for the reception and made sure everything went smoothly according to the timeline we went over with him and our day of coordinator. Would recommend Anthony for your DJ needs!

Anthony, of A Sound Choice Entertainment delivered an epic dance party (it was more than 3 hours and involved crowd surfing at one point) at our wedding and catered to our fairly demanding requests with ease. He was easy to work with and professional throughout our interactions and we would recommend him highly to anyone hoping for a DJ that knows what he’s doing and get a good dance party going. The music at our wedding was one of the areas we really focused on because, in our humble opinion, the dance party at a wedding makes or breaks the evening. We wanted our guests to be dancing and we allocated a large amount of time to the dancing part of the evening so that could happen. We looked through a lot of different DJs and were very happy to come across Anthony, who’s website provides a nice template for helping him to understand what sort of music you’re looking for throughout the event (in addition to being a good checklist for things you have to think about). Our venue had a lot of different areas, including an outdoor wedding venue, outdoor dance floor, and barn for the dinner. Of course, we wanted to use all of them and this made for a challenging request to Anthony. It meant that he’d have to move his setup a few times and bring extra equipment in addition to some extra setup time. Anthony deftly managed this situation and charged us very reasonably for the additional requests. The whole evening went off without a hitch. In addition to us asking for a lot of different locations for music, we were also very picky about what music we wanted. Anthony confirmed with us that we really wanted to be that picky and then asked us how we would like him to respond if he got a request outside of our musical preferences. We asked that he politely say that the bride and groom have asked him to stick to a particular genre, and we saw him turn people down when they requested things that were outside of what we wanted, which we were grateful for. He was also very attentive to the audience and did a great job of picking the right songs at the right time to keep the party going, which is what you want in a DJ. Overall, Anthony did a fantastic job at our wedding, and we would happily recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ who is professional and delivers the dance party!

Anthony, from A Sound Choice Entertainment, was a perfect wedding DJ. Their online guide was so easy to follow, and I loved that they asked you to rate different styles of music based on how much you’d like them played at your wedding. So you could rate things like country, rap, top 40, classic rock, etc. to give an idea of how much you’d like that type of style played at your wedding. I think he followed our guide perfectly, he definitely played a lot of songs in the styles we liked, and didn’t play any songs any the styles we didn’t. It was also really helpful that they do weddings so often, so they already had all the songs we requested, and had a lot of great suggestions when we weren’t sure which songs to pick. Even though it was a morning, brunch wedding, he did a great job getting people out on the dance floor. He knew how to read the crowd and play songs that got everyone moving. I had such a great time. He played all the songs that were requested, and avoided all the cliché songs that I had asked him not to play (like the Chicken Dance and the Macarena). A Sound Choice Entertainment is a great example of why you should hire a wedding DJ and not just a regular high school DJ or a friend with a great iPod mix. He was great at making all necessary announcements; he had a timeline of when certain things (like the cake cutting and bouquet toss) were going to take place and he followed it perfectly. He announced all the toasts, all the reception events, and all the important photos that we were trying to round people up for. I got a ton of compliments on him. He never just put on a playlist a walked away. He was at the DJ sound system throughout the event, ready to take requests or make announcements or change song styles. He was completely professional and I couldn’t recommend him enough.

I choose this DJ/MC for my wedding mainly due to the fact I met Nick at my venue's preferred vendor night. He was great! I emailed the company to decide on a price after comparing it to others. I did get a lowered price but was told I would not be able to book Nick or the company couldn't profit for my night. I was told by the owner, Anthony (who I was in communication with) that he would be able to do it, I thought, darn but okay, the owner wouldn't let me down! I was wrong. First things first, my fiance and I spent hours deciding on music and filling out their extensive planning form. I felt great about the planning form but Anthony barely glanced at it, he called me multiple times to clarify everything that I took hours to write down...Anthony also backed out of my rehearsal 2 days before it happened claiming to have to go to a corporate event and wouldn't even budge being 30minutes late to it. I assumed since I didn't have a bridal party he thought it was okay but overall I was upset, nervous and felt very unimportant. I assured by him and my venue it would be fine. Unfortunately, as it was not written in the contract so I didn't push on getting my money back. At the actually ceremony and reception Anthony was not what I would have wanted for 700$..He did speak to the guests some but to me had no presence as an MC at all. I asked him to play two extra songs that night in addition to the main event songs, he did not play those until I requested them...he also chose not to play what my fiance and I wanted to hear which was manly pop music. Instead he played lots of oldies, of course this appealed to the older audience but set no mood for my younger ones. Overall, Anthony was the only thing I wish I had not purchased for my wedding. I suggest spending more money and going for Nick or possibly another company over all!!!

Finding a DJ for our wedding was rough. We contacted a few well known local DJ companies who proceeded to not return our calls/emails or who would set an appointment but never send us the location of the appointment. The search lasted months..until one day I found A Sound Choice Entertainment. I enjoyed the website and how organized it was without being too flashy. I used the Price Quote feature one Sunday before brunch and was very pleased with the process and the quoted price! It couldn't have been more than 2 hours I had a phone call from Anthony and an email with an updated quote for a slightly lower price since we did our wedding in April (low season). We made an appointment to meet the next day, Anthony arrived early and was dressed professionally. Within 5 minutes we were sold! He had so many good insights into the feel we wanted to create using the music that we had never considered. The next step was using his event planner, which took some time but was a huge help in planning our music! The day of Anthony arrived early, set up all his equipment and provided a microphone for our officiate. The music was perfect for the ceremony, reception and dancing! He also did an amazing job at MC and coordinating all of the events. He played a large role in ensuring our day went off without a hitch. We cannot express how happy we are with A Sound Choice Entertainment's DJ service.

Nik was AMAZING. He directed our reception and kept everything going in a timely manner. He kept the music going and it was a fantastic night. I told him that we were heading out and he could start to pack up if he wanted and he kept the party going for the two last guys who were out dancing having a great time. I would gladly recommend them to anyone, they totally made my night!

Anthony is nothing short of fantastic! I was very picky about who we were going to have DJ our wedding. We were lucky enough to meet him at an open house at our wedding venue. And he was the only vendor to walk up to us and ask how our night was and we had a real conversation with him. We requested him personally to DJ our wedding and we couldn't have picked anyone better. He was extremely helpful into keeping the whole wedding moving forward and with ease. He kept all our guests involved and engaged; taught us some new dance moves and just laughed right along with us. We had compliments about him all night, and how he made the people who gave speeches feel at ease and not stressed out at all. He checked in with us all night long to see what he could do for us and when. Anthony is a rockstar and A Sound Choice Entertainment is the way to go!

We used A Sound Choice Entertainment for our wedding DJ. We were originally paired up with DJ Nik, but due to a scheduling change right before the wedding, Anthony was our DJ. He was great, we had a fun time dancing all night long. They have great online planning tools that helped us a lot with the big day and competitive pricing.

When we found Anthony, we knew we'd be taken care of. I think we talked to him a handful of times (mostly via email), made suggestions via his online profile system, and let him do his own thing, which was wonderful! We didn't have to worry about the music, he is an independent vendor who listens closely and does it right!

The intake form is daunting, but it is nice the company cares to ask you such specific questions. The issue we had with this company was that we worked with Anthony up until the wedding, and then Daniel showed up to be our DJ on the wedding day. (We knew we would not have Anthony at our wedding, but were assured another competent DJ would be there). Unfortunately, even after we spent time on the intake form, had 2 phone calls and one meeting with Anthony to describe our wishes, our DJ ended up making several mistakes at our wedding, including mis-mixing the cocktail/dinner hour music with dance music, so “Push It” played during dinner. During dancing, instead of the normal version, he also played a mashed-up version of “What a Wonderful World” that cut over to a Sir Mixalot song, leaving our slow-dancing guests completely confused. When asked what was happening, the DJ had no answers for us other than “equipment malfunction”. He obviously had no knowledge of different versions of this song existing in their database, and how to pick the appropriate one. Afterwards, Anthony was professional and apologized for the mistakes. It seems like a good company to work with, we just had a bad experience. I would recommend asking if you can meet with the DJ that will be at your wedding, and ensuring they have working knowledge of their song database and equipment.

Anthony was our DJ and he did a great job at the wedding. He was very professional, played great music, and helped the whole event run smoothly. With him keeping the pace I could just relax and not worry about how things went! During the planning his emails were pretty short, and our meetings with him were pretty quick. But I think that is because he has done this for a while and knows what brides want, he did a great job.

We had Anthony as our DJ and he did a great job! He kept the energy on the dance floor and didn't over talk the crowd. He helped with the overall flow of the event and personally came to talk to my husband and I to give us a heads up to what was coming next...cake cutting, first dance, etc. The online planning tools were very helpful in selecting songs and outlining the timeline of our reception. Pretty expansive song list...something for everyone. We would highly recommend them...great customer service throughout the whole event, very professional, and a blast to work with.

I really enjoyed using A Soung Choice Entertainment. I signed up with them during the Oregon Bridal Show in January. My DJ kept the reception going at an appropriate speed, directed people to the formalities that were happening, and kept the energy up with the music. The process they use for selecting the "feel" of my wedding is very handy in making sure the right music is played, and the wrong music is NOT played! My only complaint was that there were many songs on my specific "please play" list that did not end up getting played...not enough reason to ruin a perfectly beautiful evening though! Thanks again for a great reception!

I highly recommend using this company for your DJ needs. They are friendly, professional and know what they're doing. Our DJ, Nik, played numerous songs we love that we hadn't even requested. And he didn't shut us down when we did start getting a bit request-happy. I'd definitely use them again if I threw a big bash!

Andy was a great DJ, very interactive with the crowd, open to requests from the guests, and very easy to work with. Our dance floor was immediately full when he opened it up to the guests, and he kept it going for the whole party! He did a great job choosing music based on our suggestions, and his timing and communication with us during the whole event was right on. He did some special music mixing for our ceremony - we picked non-traditional music, and he was able to mix our songs so the sound totally worked for our walks down the aisle. He also made sure to ask us before allowing "surprise" toasts from a couple people. We appreciated him even more after we attended another wedding as guests, and the DJ that couple had hired SUCKED, so then we really knew what a good job Andy had done. We’ll be happy to recommend him to friends in the future.

My DJ Nik from A Sound Choice was extremely great at this job. They were very aware of the choices in play and do no play lists. They even went off of what you chose to choose similar music. Although our wedding didn't have many partiers or dancers, I couldn't have imagined a wedding without music in the background. They did a wonderful job.

A Sound Choice was our third choice for DJ, after the first two being booked. The online form is a bit overwhelming at first, but overall is a good tool so there is no confusion. All the communication was really easy, and everything was handled very professionally. The only reason I would not give a 5 is because there were some "cheesy" wedding songs played like "twist and shout" and I'm not sure why that was. I think we made our requests pretty clear. I don't think it was intentional, however. I think there was some miscommunication toward the end of the wedding with my groom. Regardless, other than a few bad songs the rest was great.

I loved Sound Choice Entertainment! The owner, Anthony, is great. He is extremely flexible and willing to work with you on anything from payments to planning. He knew my venue so well from doing so many weddings there that he was able to offer up some suggestions of things that worked in the past that I didn't even think of. I would highly recommend them!

We used a sound choice after seeing them at a friends wedding. Great value and Anthony did great at our wedding. I heard some of our guests say how they enjoyed him. He has a great event planner you use to help makes things go the way you want them and It really helped out a lot even though we were fine to let him judge on how things are moving and play whatever.

Andy from a sound choice really did a fantastic job with our DJ services! He kept the party going and even adapted gracefully when my dad surprised us with a live band for part of the time. Andy was great keeping our guests up to date with all of the events during the reception and really got the overall style of music we were wanting for our party. He really listened to us and was super prepared for every meeting we had during the planning process to play us samples to make sure we were all on the same page. We also used their PartyPics service which our guests had a blast with!! I would reccommed both of these to anyone looking to have a great party after their wedding!! Thank you Andy!!

We loved Anthony!! We booked him like 3 weeks before the wedding, and he was available. Not only was he super sweet and fun, he kept everyone dancing and partying, he brought my new hubby and I drinks when we were out, and he really kept the party moving. It was an awesome experience and I am so glad we decided to get a DJ - especially that we decided to use him as our DJ... I would recommend him to ANYONE!!

Andy was amazing! We had a consultation with him to rough out the wedding and he GOT ME. After only talking for about 10 minutes he had our style figured out. He was just amazing. He was there for us the whole way. From planning, to rehearsing, to our big day. He did the most amazing job and made it the wedding of my dreams. I would recommend him highly!

Andy from a sound choice was our DJ. He is GREAT! Everyone was out on the dance floor and having a great time! It was such an easy process to work with a sound choice and there online music questionaire worked really well for communicating our wants/needs for the big day! Also they let us plug the electric piano we were using for my brother to play while I walked down the aisle etc. into their equipment! There were no funny extra charges or add-ons which we really appreciated.
