As soon as we met with Jen as a prospective planner, we knew she was the one! Having eloped just the two of us earlier in the year, we wanted a celebration with family and friends that was anything but traditional - Jen knew exactly what our vision was and brought it to life better than we could have imagined! From the cocktail party to the after party, everything was exactly the Manhattan party of our dreams. Planning a party in New York while living in California definitely gave us pause, but Jen was there every step of the way to scout out venues, florists, food, etc. and kept us in the loop whenever we could not be there in person. As party planning amateurs, we relied heavily on Jen for florist, photographer, caterer, hair/makeup, etc. recommendations and she did not disappoint! Jen and her team were amazing on the day of our party, taking care of every detail and allowing us to have the most stress-free and fun day to celebrate with those closest to us - we cannot thank A Taylored Affair, Jen and her team enough for such an unforgettable event!!
Through our long engagement and 2 postponements during the Covid-19 pandemic Jen was there every step of the way. She was able to help make our day happen from recommendations for countless vendors who we loved, answered any questions we ever had, solved problems that arose before they ever came to our attention, and most of all was able to guide us through so much uncertainty. I cannot emphasize enough that our wedding day was perfect and it was in large part because of Jen. She was able to walk us through any of our wants, desires, needs and even providing suggestions for our wedding and making things happen. Jen truly is the best and we could not be happier that she was a part of our team on our wedding day.

I was obsessed with my wedding and it was all because of Jen! I have no idea where even to begin to start! First of all, Jen is one of the more fun people I’ve ever met, and has such awesome, interesting and different ideas. She gives her ALL to her clients, and you can tell just how much she puts her heart and soul into your wedding. She was so accessible that I so very much miss talking to her all the time now that my weddings over!!! What I loved about working with Jen: she always remained calm throughout any situation or hurdle and came up with creative solutions. She’s willing to call BS on a lot of the wedding markups you see out there. She has great relationships with the most amazing vendors. She has a fabulous eye for design and an impeccable pulse on what the crowd will want. She thinks of all the little things you never would. She totally helped me navigate all sorts of weird family situations with my big crazy family. She came SO prepared with an awesome team who helped me have so much fun that day while also absolutely killing it and pulling off a seamless affair. Jen brings far more than coordination and sanity to the wedding process, she’s your true partner in making your vision a reality and guiding you along the way. She and her team are beyond amazing. If you think you don’t need her, you do. Her aesthetic is second to none, and she thought of things I could have never imagined. She has an answer for every challenge, and came up with so many creative options and solutions for us to make our wedding ours. She’s literally an angel. She spent so much time with me talking through details and making sure things were on point. Her help on the day of is critical. I was completely out of my depth starting to plan the wedding and she pulled it all together by keeping us on track without being pushy or pressuring me. I also was a very anxious bride and she was there as a confidant and always offering encouraging (and valuable!) advice on how to cope. Her expertise, creativity and energy are pure gold. Our best day couldn’t have happened without her. I loved having her as a part of our journey and appreciate her honesty, straightforwardness, no-no-nonsense approach to things. When starting to look at Day of Coordinators, I was not sure how I would know how to pick one and what the requirements were, as I really just wanted someone to keep me on track of all things planning. Then, I met Jen. From my first call with Jen, I knew immediately that she was the one for me. Her enthusiasm, energetic loving personality and complete understanding of me and what I truly wanted for my day made our entire process seamless. Jen was by my side (literally) from the start of our 18-month engagement through the bus ride back to the hotels at 1am on the night of our wedding. She was always accessible via text, phone calls, or even to meet up in person to discuss any issues, questions or just to clear out my thoughts. When we hired Jen originally, I had planned to use her primarily for month-of coordination but I loved her ideas and advice, that I relied on her for practically everything and she attended most of our vendor meetings. Her understanding of NYC weddings and relationships that she creates with vendors makes the entire experience run smoothly. Her ideas and advice was beyond helpful and helped us to create the most perfect and memorable night of our lives. I truly don’t think our wedding would have happened had it not been for Jen and her team. She is absolutely amazing and truly the best person to work with. I can promise any bride that you will not feel an ounce of stress working with Jen, as she handles it all. I would recommend her without a doubt to anyone! She is not just incredibly knowledgeable and an organized planner but she is someone that creates an everlasting friendship with each of her clients and I cannot thank her enough. HIRE HER! Jen is amazing! She is so energetic and honestly amazing to work with. Before I found her, I only had the venue picked out - a 20,000 sq ft NYC Chinatown family run restaurant that would need a big transformation for my wedding day. From start to finish, she has helped with everything. Her wealth of experience and relationships with the best vendors in NYC sets her apart. Without her, I would never have found my amazing hair and makeup stylists, have had the most stunning flowers, lighting that would set the mood, or a photographer that captured exactly what I wanted, etc etc. the list could go on and on. But most importantly, it was her creative vision that made our wedding day truly dreamy and romantic and so much fun! All of our guests were not only blown away by the transformation of the space but also how the night progressed. It was Jen who planned the day/night down to the minute and it went flawlessly. (If there were any hiccups, I was not made aware of it) I couldn't have been happier with how everything came out and I highly recommend Jen and her team at A Taylored Affair to any couples looking for a planner!
Jen is the number one best wedding planner - period. We knew we wanted a planner right away, I read a few reviews about Jen online and reached out. She immediately responded, sending me a calendar invite for our first chat (I appreciated that organization!) and I could hear in her voice that she was real, invested, creative and hardworking. And that was just the beginning.
We worked together for 7 months or so, she found us our venue, dance teacher later, videographer, ordered us last minute late night wedding pizzas, helped with gift bags, invites, and ON AND ON. She helped us save $ with creative wedding hacks, always responded to a barrier or stumbling block (like vendors being booked or something not quite coming in the way we'd hoped) with a thoughtful solution. She NEVER let us down. Her mind is quick and she truly wants your wedding to be everything YOU want it to be, so you can give her your honest feedback on things you like, things you don't and she bounces along with you to keep cranking it all out while keeping you calm, and subtly giving you hints of what to think about next without EVER making me feel overwhelmed.
On a human level, Jen is a star, the kind of person you can tell is a solid friend - she really brings that humanity, the fun, the candor and the humanness to the insanity that can be the wedding industry. HIRE HER, you're welcome :)
When I first told my (now) husband that we needed to hire a day of coordinator, he thought I was crazy and that it was going to be a waste of money! Suffice to say, after the wedding he told me Jennifer and her team was worth their weight in gold! When I first reached out to Jennifer, she instantly stood out because was the only day of coordinator who sent me a personalized reply, and not an automated reply. From the start she had a "roll up her sleeves, lets get things done" attitude which is crucial in the wedding business! On the days leading up to the wedding and even on the day of, she put out fires and made sure everything went according to plan. I don't think Jennifer ever told me a straight out "no" during the months leading up to our wedding, but instead she offered solutions and ideas which we bounced off of each other. Even if you are a highly organized bride like I was, Jennifer and her team were invaluable on the day of. My husband and I are so grateful our wedding went so well and that we'll have memories to cherish for years to come!
My fiancé (now husband!) and I were close to eloping after the stress of planning a wedding started to take over. I felt an immense amount of relief when I got in touch with Jennifer of A Taylored Affair. Not just because we were hiring a planner but because I felt immediately that she just got me and my vision for our wedding. I am not a traditional bride and it was my hope that our wedding would aesthetically match our taste and style-Jennifer delivered completely! One of her strengths, among many, is in the details. She had so many amazing ideas that ultimately really distinguished our wedding and made so many of our guests just say "wow"! We received compliments all night and the days following on how "beautiful" everything was, which I credit to Jennifer fully. She has an amazing energy and really felt just how much she truly cares. I never felt like I was left unanswered at any point, her follow up (and through) was consistently great. She's also tough when she needs to be (with vendors) and went to bat for us whenever the situation called for it. She also introduced me to the most amazing make up artist that was incredible, if you hire Jennifer ask for Kasey! She works incredibly hard, couple that with her genuine drive to make you feel happy, cared for and taken care of and you literally could not be better off with anyone else. She was just incredible and I am so thankful to have had her!
I was one of those brides that found the planning process very easy and didn't understand why so many people freaked out when they planned their wedding. I felt this way until it was one month before the big day...Everything I needed was booked, but the act laying out the entire day step by step and making a timeline freaked me out! Who was going to make sure that everything outlined was going to happen properly and at the right time?! It sure wasn't going to be me....
This is when I decided to cave in and look for help. After speaking to a few planners, I found that many offered limited services at a high price tag. I narrowed it down to A Taylored Affair and hired Jen for the "day of" coordination. She was reasonably priced and included a long list of services and flexibility which I needed. The best decision I have made throughout the crazy wedding planning process!!!
Jen and her assistant Jackie are unconventional, quirky, and fun! They went above and beyond before the big day and during. We first met face to face to get to know each other and get a feel for what I was looking for. We then followed up with a number of phone calls and emails in creating our timeline. The ladies have also made time to join me to walk through the venue prior to the wedding. This was super helpful since the venue coordinator was not easy to work with and I have struggled dealing with her from day one. Jen & Jackie had my best intentions in mind and pushed the venue coordinator to bend rules so I can get what I needed. The ladies had some great ideas on decorations that I didn't think of when I was planning on my own and so glad that I took their advice.
Fast forward to the wedding day... Everything was happening so fast! ... If the ladies we'rent there I don't know what I would have done. The list of things they have done is extensive! They made sure everything was happening on time and kept all the vendors in line.
When the florist screwed up my bouquet, the ladies made sure I did not freak out. They took the bouquet apart, rearranged , and got super close to what I originally wanted with very limited resources.
My flower girls loved Jen!! She put make up on them and gave the lollipops! What's not to love?!
They even walked my dog!
To sum it up, my wedding day was AMAZING and most importantly STRESS FREE. I'm not the easiest person to please, but Jen and Jackie were rock stars! If you hire them, I promise you will not regret it. <3

Jennifer is truly the best!! She has helped me so, SO much for my upcoming wedding, from working on the phone with me for hours to help choose a first dance song and wedding party gifts to assisting me in organizing a thorough pre- and post-wedding to do list. I am getting married in Israel, so unfortunately I could not work with her full time as my wedding planner, but if I were getting married locally, I would hire A Taylored Affair in a heartbeat!! A Taylored Affair was absolutely indispensable at our wedding. The time and planning that they put into selecting the specific vendors was clearly evident and amazing. The bouquet's were exactly to specification (small and unobtrusive, but elegant) and the additional touches that were placed around the venue brought the entire evening together.
Jennifer and Jackie were attentive to every call or email that I wrote and almost instantaneously reached out to us with any concern that they may have. They single handedly saved us thousands in rental fees when the suggested the perfect number of portable heaters and advised us against securing a tent for our event. Most importantly, throughout the wedding process they acted as a perfect buffer. If we had trouble reaching out to a vendor regarding any matter, A Taylored Affair handled it immediately and professionally. They kept our (large) wedding party on schedule during the rehearsal and on the day of.
As the bride, any little thing I needed was immediately taken care of. We had such a great experience and I would so highly recommend Jennifer, Jackie, and A Taylored Affair to anyone that has recently gotten engaged. I honestly could not have done it without them.
Jennifer was truly amazing--she thought of things I never would have planned for (and I consider myself a very careful person!). She was on top of everything, from contracts to budgets to dates. I can't imagine what my wedding would have been like without her. The best thing is that Jennifer is warm and open-minded. She might be working on all of the nitty-gritty details, but you’ll still end up with a “wowza” creative vision for the wedding. Highly recommend!

Hiring A Taylored Affair for the month of our wedding was definitley the best decision I made in my year long engagement. They stepped in when I was just starting to realize I had no idea what I was doing and immediately put my mind at ease.
I met with Jennifer and she went step-by-step through all of the details that were beginning to overwhelm me and immediately took all of those little details off my plate. She was even reaching out to our vendors without me knowing and taking care of things I hadn't even though of.
On wedding day, I felt a sense of calmness come over me the second they arrived. They had a team of 3 and were always making sure we were staying on schedule, and that I was fed and with a glass of champagne in hand! They dealt with all of the vendors and even picked up odds and ends from around town that I had forgotten.
I spoke to our florist later and she said she has never seen such an organized wedding planner. Jennifer literally just sucks up all your stress and turns it into happy, exciting thoughts.

Jennifer and Jackie and their team from A Taylored Affair were flawless. From the first time we spoke with them (months in advance of our wedding), to the last time we saw them, they always had a great attitude - extremely professional and able to relate on a personal and emotional level. As any bride can attest, planning your wedding is such a detailed and stressful process. Jen or Jackie was always there to provide a gentle, guiding hand, in working through the process. Come the day of the wedding, there are no other words to describe these two, other than invaluable. They arrived earlier than expected and tied bow ties, wrangled the bridal party, gathered the jewelry and I'm sure a dozen other things we're not aware of. At the reception, they kept everything on time, brought us food and drinks while we were busy being the bride and groom, and made sure that everything was perfect. What we're trying to get at is that hiring A Taylored Affair is worth every penny and then some. They are true professionals in every sense of the word and we can't even begin to imagine what our day would have been like without them.
A Taylored Affair did such a phenomenal job with coordinating every aspect of my beautiful wedding. I had a ton of visitors from out of town who had never been to NYC before- they needed help with EVERYTHING (transportation, communication, restaurants, shopping, etc…) and Jackie (my wedding coordinator) handled it all flawlessly. She was always available when I needed her and everything was handled without me having to ask. Their team was running around so much taking care of every single detail. We worked with A Taylored Affair for our September 2016 wedding in NYC. Jennifer and Jackie did such a great job managing our big day! Jennifer’s positive, can-do attitude made her super easy to work with throughout the process, which included an on-site planning meeting (where she shared TONS of helpful suggestions, the rehearsal, the rehearsal dinner, and the day itself. We had so many back and forth emails with her and felt confident during the entire ride that they would take care of every tiny detail. I shared my Pinterest page with her and the next day we had a phone call and she just “got it”. It’s hard to explain. Aside from managing our timeline and dealing with the vendor selection and contracts, they were very pleasant to work with. This is clearly Jennifer’s element. She is intelligent, confident, outgoing, and meticulous. Use them!
Even though I'm crafty and very organized, the idea of planning my wedding was giving me anxiety. But with the help of A Taylored Affair and Jennifer, wedding planning became so stress free and actually really fun! She made everything really easy and helped me pick the most incredible vendors in NYC. Everyone at A Taylored Affair was really responsive to my calls and emails and were always there to answer any tiny question I had. The day of the wedding, everything went so perfectly. They had a team of 4 event coordinators and if something behind the scenes went wrong I never heard about it! They handled all the vendors and schedules and allowed us to truly enjoy our wedding. We recently used A Taylored Affair for my daughters wedding, and I honestly mean when I say you’ll get the best of the best with them. Jennifer is absolutely amazing and so is her team.
My daughter was having a hard timing choosing a gown and kept going back and forth to different shops in the city trying on dresses. Jennifer and Jackie took her out one afternoon to view her final 3 choices- Jackie took pictures to send to me and even facetime’d me from the dressing room so I could see my daughter in her dress. It was just like I was there with them! Needless to say, she found “the one” that day and it was simply stunning.
The day of the wedding, Jennifer was with the bridal party at the hotel making sure everything was running smooth while her team was at the Boathouse making sure everything was set up perfectly for the reception. She even set up a beautiful brunch spread for us while we were getting ready and more snacks for us between the ceremony and reception.
The rehearsal was incredibly helpful when they walked us through the order and gave us tips. These girls really had everything down to a T so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. I arrived for wedding weekend a nervous wreck for my first daughter’s wedding! The second I met Jennifer I was immediately at ease and was able to focus on spending time with family instead of worrying about every little detail that my daughter may have forgotten.
Throughout wedding week, Jennifer was super responsive and had the best recommendations for anything we needed in NYC- dinner reservations, broadway shows, bagels, sticky tape, blow-outs…anything. They delivered the welcome bags to each hotel so guests would get them as soon as they arrived. They welcomed all of the vendors for the rehearsal dinner and for the wedding…made sure they had meals and were paid. They are amazing.

If there's any advice that I would give to a bride, it's this: GET A WEDDING PLANNER! It is soooooo worth the money. It allows you to actually enjoy your engagement and the entire process... which is what a wedding should be all about. And honestly, THEY WILL SAVE YOU MONEY. We met with a few people that seemed kind of sketchy, but once we met with Jennifer we were hooked. A Taylored Affair will create the event of your life. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!!!!! Let all of your friends know!!!
