Aa’Keela is a musician, singer, and songwriter, whose style includes everything from soul, rhythm & blues, gospel, rock, jazz, pop and funk. A self-taught pianist and saxophonist, she has taught music to various church ministries for more than 20 years. She has performed behind such artists as Melissa Ethridge and Le’Andria Johnson, and she has worked alongside Ann Nesby, Patti LaBelle, Vesta Williams and Patti Austin. Aa'Keela formed Aa’Keela & The Beats, and they have performed at festivals, corporate functions,, weddings, proms, private parties, church events and everything in between.

There are not enough stars to rate how the energy Aa’keela and the Beats brought to our wedding. They are amazing musicians and really know how to get the crowd going. I am so happy we chose to go with them for our wedding because they really added a special touch that made it amazing! 10/10 recommend!

I hadn’t had the privilege of seeing Aa’Keela and The Beats in person before our reception, but I did extensive research which led to the decision of booking them. They were the first vendor we booked. They were absolutely fabulous!! They are all so talented and engaged with all wedding guests (even gave a guest a spare pair of drumsticks!). From their set list, sound and lighting features, spunky outfits, they put on a fantastic show!! My fiancé and I had the honor of meeting each of the band members and they were so kind and great individuals!! The best band ever! They exceeded our expectations and made the night even that much more unforgettable!! Book this band ASAP!!! Aa’Keela and The Beats, we love you guys!!!

Aa’Keela and the Beats has played for three conference events for our association of about 150-200 guests now. Every event her team has performed an excellent array of songs that not only engaged the audience of all ages but had everyone laughing, clapping, and cheering throughout the night. They are fun, family friendly, and extremely entertaining. Not to mention the quality of performance is excellent as well. Perfect for any venue especially if you have a group of varying age brackets that want a night of music. Highly recommend this group!

We heard them at another wedding and already knew we wanted them! They are the best band you could ever find for a reception. They have a reasonable price and also keep the party hype! If you want an interactive reception this is the band you need to pick! They will have everyone on the dance floor from start to finish! The absolute best in the business!

Absolutely amazing! This band exceeded our expectations and kept the party going all night long and danced the night away! They have an incredible setlist, easy to work with, and were always ready to answer any and all questions we had leading up to our wedding! So many guests commented on how much they enjoyed having this band and how much fun they are. Would pick them again in a heartbeat!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Aa’Keela and the Beats! They played my niece’s wedding, and all of our family and friends of all ages, along with the entire bridal party, never left the dance floor. Even on the breaks! They have a wide variety of songs, from different eras and genres, and they are so creative with their mash-ups. They’re so interactive with the crowd too. Hands down, the best wedding band ever. Don’t hesitate to book them, because they’re the real deal. So professional too!!
