We had Aaron photograph our wedding in October in West Linn and he did an absolutely stunning job. We selected Aaron because his portfolio showed a good mix of beautiful staged photos along with candid shots that capture the feel of the day. He did not disappoint! The couples and family photos we received were better than I could have imagined and the candids allowed us to see so many happenings we missed. Plus Aaron was so professional, easy to work with and was so nice with the family and kiddos. I can't stop looking at our photos and we have so many good ones the hardest part is choosing which to frame!! Thank you so much Aaron!

Aaron is a fantastic photographer and so so wonderful to work with! He was the only photographer we met with and we instantly knew he was the one to capture our backyard wedding. Aaron was able to help us relax with his sense of humor and calm demeanor when taking photos. He is also incredibly kind, he brought me a slice of pizza when I was feeling queasy and resting prior to the ceremony. We love every photo he took of our wedding! He captured so many small moments of joy during our reception, from over the top dancing to full body laughter. Aaron is truly authentic, humorous and a joy to work with - I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Aaron was amazing! From our first conversation over the phone to the very end of our wedding, he shared our excitement and made our wedding even more memorable. We just received our photos, and I can't believe how many small moments he was able to catch that truly made our wedding special. He caught my wife's favorite faces, my friends's best moments, and cute moments with our younger cousins on the dance floor! I HIGHLY recommend you work with Aaron!

The first time I met Aaron I knew he was the man for the job. He was great with the kids. Helped us with the little accents in the wedding which was a BIG help. But most importantly his pictures turned out beautiful! Had lots to pick and choose. Highly recommend Aaron!

Aaron did a fantastic job for our engagement and wedding photos. Aaron captured so many great memories it was hard to decide which photos to get printed and framed! All of our friends and family loved how the photos turned out. Aaron made the whole process comfortable and smooth. We will be having him do our family photos in the future.

Absolutely amazing! There are not enough stars or words to emphasize how much I would recommend him as a photographer. He captured all the genuine must have moments and more for my wedding (I have no idea how he was able to be in so many places at once)! It never felt like we had a hired photographer photographing our wedding, but a friend who belonged there. He is absolutely amazing at his job and I would recommend him with no reservations. My husband and I are not the most photogenic, nor the most comfortable in front of the camera and yet, Aaron was able to work his magic.

Aaron did a fantastic job! He really made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, and the portrait results are fabulous. Not only that, but during the ceremony and reception, he was all over the place, getting incredible candid shots of us, our friends, and family.

Aaron is a phenomenal photographer and the perfect addition to any wedding. We had a small wedding and most things like flowers and food were done by friends and family but my husband and I are so glad Aaron was our photographer. The photos were stunning and he was such a natural addition to our wedding; our guests even asked how we were friends with him.

My husband and I met with several different photographers and only after a few minutes into our meeting with Aaron we knew he was the perfect fit. First off, his pictures are gorgeous, artistic, unique and beautiful. He is so flexible and easy to work with. We were having part of our wedding outdoors and he was kind enough to go to the location beforehand to scope out some options for photos if it were to rain. He was really easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. He respected that my husband and I were really laid back about taking photos and didn't want to have many "posed" photos and he worked with that. My friends and family all loved him the day of the wedding saying such positive things. He had our photos to us only about 3 short weeks after our wedding which was so quick. The photos turned out fantastic and he really captured every aspect of our day. We couldn't have selected a better photographer. I highly recommend working with Aaron, he will be flexible to your wants and needs, be very easy to communicate with and most importantly produce amazingly beautiful pictures. I can't wait to use him again for future projects.

Both my husband and I are photographers ourselves, so we were a bit picky about choosing our wedding photographer. On top of that, we both adore and and shoot film - which means we were searching for a certain "look" in terms of photography. I'd been following Aaron's work for years, and knew immediately that he was the photographer for us - his digital "feels" like film to me... and he even brought along film cameras to make extra photos for us! He is absolutely fantastic at "finding the light" and each photo session with him felt natural and low-key - like hanging out with a friend. In addition, he single-handedly managed to cover our wedding - from early morning to late evening, and we had somewhere around 150 guests! The guy is amazing. We highly recommend him!

Aaron is an all around wonderful photographer! He is professional, reliable, fun and easy to work with, has a calm and comforting presence, goes with the flow, is flexible, takes incredible photographs and then gets them to you in a timely manner. We were so lucky to have him at our wedding and couldn't be happier with our photos!

When looking for a photographer for our engagement and wedding photos, I asked a friend who had gorgeous wedding photos and she sent me Aaron's info. We met him at a coffee shop and loved his fun personality and style of photography. Our engagement photos turned out beautifully and I couldn't be more happy with our wedding photos. Aaron has a knack for capturing the little moments and the emotion of the day, which is why we were drawn to him to begin with. The way he uses light is phenomenal. Also, our photos don't look "over edited" in the least, as wedding photos sometimes can. To be honest, I was hesitant to have only one photographer at first, but I am still amazed at the shots he got when we had no idea he was around! He captured everything we could have wanted. From start to finish, a great experience and beautiful photos. I recommend him highly!

We used Aaron Courter for our wedding photographer in the Hood River area. He's based out of Portland but did not charge a travel fee, which was a plus. Booking was very easy, the price was right, and the day of the wedding he showed up, was very professional, and made the photos so easy and fun. And of course the finished product is the best part! We have hundreds of beautiful photos now to remember our special day.

The other reviews on Aaron totally capture how wonderful he is, but I have to add one more. Looking at Aaron's website it's easy to see how great his work is. But I am so much more impressed now that I have seen the pictures he took of our wedding day. Of me and my husband saying our vows, of our family and friends, of all the details that we put together. The pictures we have of our day couldn't have been better or more beautiful. He captured the special moments and made us look amazing! He would be modest and say we looked amazing and he just captured it, but seriously, he made us look like awesome versions of ourselves. Planning our wedding was stressful because we don't have a lot of money. We needed to stick to our budget, but everyone we talked to confirmed that photography is not the place to do that. I've muttered to myself and anyone who will listen many times, I am so glad that we were able to book Aaron and that we didn't try to cut corners with photography. Aaron's prices are great, and an even better value considering the amazing work he does. Lastly and a seriously important part I didn't understand before getting married, Aaron is really fun to be around. He was invisible most of the time, somehow taking hundreds of pictures without ever being in the way. He had suggestions to give, but never overbearing. The experience was not like the past weddings I've been in, with the photographer sticking out and saying awkward things to get through the bridal party and family posed shots. I can't recommend Aaron enough!

Aaron did our wedding and was incredible. He captured every moment I was hoping he would and I hardly even noticed he was doing it! He was so much fun and helped everyone feel relaxed. Our wedding celebration was almost over a year ago and people always compliment us on our photos. Aaron happened to be at our engagement session also and was just a really great guy to have around. His professionalism and eye for a great picture are an amazing combination. I will always keep him in mind for our photography.

Aaron Courter was professional, personable, genuine, open and had the patience of a saint for anything requested from our family before, during and after the wedding day. Engagement photos shot in multiple locations, and a destination wedding in Columbus, Ohio. (That was our first request.) His flexibility and calmness definitely put the bride and groom at ease for some absolutely fantastic memories captured in digital photography the day of the wedding. Our daughter could not have her dogs in the wedding...solution: THIRTY photos of two rambunctious canines posing for table number photos. All unique and different with a creativity rating of 11 out of 10! Aaron captured all of the details in the work and planning that took place during that year of preparation for the wedding. The day, for my husband and I, went by in a flash. Over time that day will be cataloged in the distant memory of our minds, but I am confident that revisiting Aaron's photography work will bring back the rush of emotions filled with joy of the day my daughter married the love of her life. Allow Aaron to work with you side by side in your wedding photography and you will be amazed at what he sees from his side of the camera lens! Other photography work he has shared with our family include Senior portraits of our younger daughter (also awesome!) and family reunion portraits capturing enlightened hearts and smiles of every family member showcasing individual personality and flare. Aaron is AMAZING. We first fell in love with his work (looking at his website and his work from our friends wedding). Next we did our engagement photos with him and he was just really fun to work with, made us feel very comfortable and the pictures turned out wonderful. Lastly, of course we used him for our wedding and again I have nothing but praises. Our original site where we were going to take pictures had to change last minute and he showed up early and scouted out a even better outdoor space for us and yes the picture are absolutely incredible and beautiful! We hope and plan to use in the future for family photos as it begins to grow.

My husband and I chose Aaron as our photographer before we booked anything else for our wedding. We met with him and instantly felt we had found the photographer for us. He was so friendly and welcoming during our first meeting. We did not feel pressured to make a decision, he made it clear that we should feel, without a doubt, that we were making the right choice for us. His photographs are timeless and unique, we were so happy with how well he captured the feel of our wedding day, the spirit of our guests and the unique details that we spent months creating. I heard from multiple guests how impressed they were with Aaron. He made sure to capture all the important moments of our ceremony and reception without interrupting the flow of the day. Now, 3 months after our wedding we have our marriage, our rings, and our photographs. I grew up with two photographers for parents, so choosing a photographer for my wedding was difficult...I had high standards! The photographer and the pictures were so important to me! Once the wedding is over, they're all you have to look back on! So, I was a little nervous first meeting Aaron. I loved his pictures online, but you just never know! But, boy, oh boy, were my fears set aside! Aaron is so easy going and friendly! When we were taking our engagement pictures, we felt like we were just hanging out with our friend! He listened to everything I liked and wanted and he delivered exactly that! He was on time, professional, respectful, FUN... My family and friends on our wedding day loved him and raved about him! I get so many compliments on our wedding photos - I've already recommended him to two more girlfriends getting married! Aaron gives you a wonderful experience, not just a photographer. We were so pleased with what we got for what we spent, too; Aaron gave us too many pictures to choose from! I couldn't say enough good things about him. We are so, so very happy we chose him to represent us on our day!

Aaron loves what he does and it shows in every picture. He's creative without being weird. Professional without being uptight. He did our engagement, wedding and family photos. They all came out perfectly. Artful, unique, interesting photos that make it very hard to choose which ones to print because they are all so good. We're going to continue to update our life events with Aaron from here on out. He makes you feel really relaxed and during our wedding he was so unobtrusive we hardly noticed him. He blends right in when he needs to and somehow gets these amazing close-up shots when you didn't even know he was in the room. Our friends liked our photos so much they decided to use him for their engagement and wedding photos too. He is super likable. Funny and smart. Good conversationalist. He really seems to care about getting to know you and understand what you want. He's also great with kids. My wife and I wish we had a single friend to hook him up with. He's just that good of a dude.

Aaron is very professional. He is a funny guy and he knows how to take amazing pictures.

When we got our wedding pictures back, I was struck by two things. First, they were absolutely beautiful, more truly lovely pictures than I ever expected to have. Second, I couldn't believe all of the little moments that Aaron was able to capture when I had no idea that he was anywhere in the vicinity. Aaron's a fun, friendly, professional photographer. He showed up when he said he would, and he was willing to work with us on packages, times, etc. I would (and have) recommended him to friends in a heartbeat.
