Aaron WORKED at our wedding. We had the pleasure of having him as a single photographer for 10 hours and I don't think he ever put his camera down. Aaron is a pro at seeking out the best lighting and setting and making sure the moment is captured. We received digital copies of our photos within two weeks and couldn't be more thrilled with how they turned out!

Aaron is amazingly talented. He captured all the special moments form our wedding with such a natural and artistic perspective. None of our photos felt forced, we were able to just be ourselves because Aaron made us feel so comfortable. And that led to the very best photos. He is not your average wedding photographer!

Aaron is the best!!!!!! He was so creative when taking our wedding photos. I loved how simple movements of light or location absolutely changed the photos. Everything turned out so beautiful, from detail shots to larger family photos. He did a fantastic job capturing all the moments without ever making it feel like we were taking hours of photos. We can’t wait to work with Aaron for future celebrations! Also for my brides who love black & white, he gives every photo in color and B&W!!

There's no way this review will do Aaron justice, but I'll try anyway. He was always super responsive and never left us wondering what was going on. Our pictures turned out amazing and I loved the mixture of posed shots and natural snapshots that captured the true emotions of the day. Neither my husband nor I enjoy having our photos taken, but Aaron made us feel so comfortable and helped direct us into complimentary positions. One of the best parts was waking up the next morning to a handful of photos that we could share. Once we received the link to our finished photos, we were blown away by how many photos there were! I don't think there was a minute of the day that wasn't captured. In the rush of the day, I ended up missing so many details that his photos reminded me of. The hardest part of booking Aaron as a photographer has been trying to decide which photos to print and showcase in our house!

Aaron Phelps is seriously the best. Our wedding photos turned out so amazing!! So, one week before our wedding, the photographer that we had booked with canceled on us and left us stranded with no photographer! Luckily, I was able to get in touch with Aaron and he stepped in and did a marvelous job! He seriously went above and beyond what we had expected and turned possibly one of the most stressful pre-wedding things into one of the best parts of the wedding. Our photos turned out beautiful with a timeless, classic feel to them. Aaron Phelps is seriously one of the best. If you're on the fence, definitely go with Aaron.

I am so thrilled with Aaron Phelps Photography!! He took the pictures for our son and daughter-in-law's wedding. I don't think he was familiar with the venue, but spent extra time finding great photo spots. They were fun to work with, and kind to everyone. There are so many great photos. I highly, highly recommend!!

Our photos look like an absolutely fairytale and Aaron was a dream to work with! His professionalism and confidence made working with him for both engagement and wedding photos so easy. My wife and I got married this past October and received our pictures back recently from Aaron---and wow!! They are just stunning!! Aaron has this ability to capture moments with such artistry. His portraits look straight out of a photography book, which is even more impressive given that neither my wife nor I are remotely comfortable in front of a camera. Somehow, he was able to capture us looking relaxed, and our happiness clearly shows through. The portraits are beautiful, but it's the candids that we really treasure. Aaron was able to be everywhere at once it seems, getting great shots of family, friends and my wife and I without any of us notice. As for the logistics, Aaron was super professional and prompt. He was very responsive, and communicated with us regularly before the event to ensure that we were on the same page for scheduling and to make sure he knew what photos were most important to us. Truely can't thank him enough for capturing our special day.

Aaron is an amazing and talented photographer. I couldn’t be happier with our pictures. We are a very shy couple and we’re kind of intimidated by the whole wedding process. We told Aaron about it since day one. He is very sweet and kind, helped us to relax and suggested simple things for us to look great. He was with us during our court wedding and big celebration a couple of months later. Our court wedding pictures, in particular, look very editorial. Amazing. I don’t know why he is not more popular! Our experience with Aaron was truly a dream. We talked in great detail about our vision and what we wanted and he honored that while also being creative and capturing moments I didn't even think would be possible. Our photos fully showcase our essence as a couple and we now have memories of our special day forever. I am deeply grateful for Aaron. There are a million different ways we would like to express our gratitude to Aaron for all the hard work he put into capturing our wedding and engagement photos, but in addition to thanking him over and over again, we also want to say WOW! Which doesn’t even really begin to cover it, but it’s a start. We are just in awe of how talented and creative Aaron is! He will capture all your dream photos, and give you even more favorites that you didn't know you wanted. Like many people, my husband(!) And I are just not all that comfortable in front of a camera and don't think of ourselves as photogenic - but we never once felt uncomfortable working with Aaron. He made us feel confident and relaxed and there were many times we completely forgot he was even taking photos at all. He gave fantastic direction when he was seeing a specific shot he wanted, but could also just disappear into the background to capture some of the most authentic and unguarded photos as well. He has so genuinely captured us and all of our favorite people - And one of the most amazing things is how he captured entire personalities and the complex relationships between people that he didn’t even know. Aaron sees people so completely and captures them so beautifully. We truly loved all of our vendors, but if we had to do it all over again and could only have one of them, it would hands-down be Aaron every single time. We recommend him to anyone who asks (and to everyone who doesn’t!), and can’t wait to work with him again ourselves in the future!

Aaron was amazing to work with - my mom and I initially met him at a bridal show and left knowing he was who I wanted to capture my husband and I's big day. We set up a meeting with him and he gave us a chance to ask questions, showed us his work, and helped us brainstorm ideas for engagement photos and our wedding day. He was incredibly helpful and responsive in getting our engagement photos set up; he suggested we focus on outdoors and finding places that were important to us, so we ended up taking several photos at our favorite brewery! Aaron was very helpful in day-of planning/timing as well. I felt terrible that a lot of our family backed out, so we had a lot of time for family photos we didn't need. However, he ended up sneaking away with us to go take some photos in the middle of nowhere. It had snowed the day before, so these ended up being some of the best and most magical photos ever. During the reception I feel like I hardly noticed him but he was capturing everything. Both our galleries are incredible and I would highly recommend using Aaron (we even plan on using him for family photos when the time comes!)

He catches so many moments that you don’t even notice, truly an amazing photographer! Trust me you can’t find a better person to photograph you’re special day. Also, he has such a positive attitude and always keeps things on track and flowing.

My husband and I were beyond pleased with our engagement and wedding photos! Aaron was prompt with all responses and prepared for every meeting. He brought many suggestions on where to take pictures and how to act natural. My husband and I are not big on taking pictures, but Aaron was easy to work with and made us feel comfortable. What a talented and charming guy; I cannot recommend enough! He was able to make two people who hate getting their photo taken actually enjoy being in the limelight (or at least, not want to pull out their teeth or look quite as awkward). He flew out to DC to take our engagement photos, which turned out SPECTACULAR. He then did our wedding photos at Fresh Air Farm in Kansas City. They turned out dreamlike, as he truly captured the whimsical boho vibe we were going for. We are so lucky to have found him and his fake laugh (it gets you going, just wait... it's a treat). All I can say is WOW. Aaron is a pleasure to work with and his pictures are amazing. He did a wonderful job of capturing our wedding day and the pictures turned out better than I could have wished for. He is very artistic and captures raw and organic shots. These are moments that my husband and I wanted to remember, and now we can cherish them forever. If you're getting married in Kansas City, Aaron is a must!

We cannot say enough good things about Aaron. He is an AMAZING photographer and his photos prove that. Aaron took our engagement pictures back in October of 2016 and he shot our wedding in October 2017. He makes taking pictures a fun and relaxed experience. We were battling the weather on our wedding day, but he was actually able to capture some of the most breathtaking photos I have ever seen. We highly recommend him!!!

Aaron did such an incredible job on our wedding photos. Leading up to the wedding, he was very prompt in responding to emails and we met in person one day to discuss details, which was really great and made me feel very comfortable. He totally understood our vision for the day and it showed in the moments that he captured with his camera. Yes, he got the typical posed photos, but he took so many "in the moment" pictures that were just incredible! When we look at the photos, it is like we are re-living the day over and over! He also made everyone feel very comfortable- always giving direction so there was never any question on how to pose, when to smile, etc. He sent us links to our photos and mailed us a USB as well. I would highly recommend Aaron. He was excellent and exceeded all of our expectations! Thank you, Aaron!

There really is no higher praise we could give Aaron. When we began our wedding planning, we both knew that photography would be a priority--wanting to find someone who could capture our story, our joy, and our big day. Aaron, without exception, exceeded our expectations on all fronts. From our initial contact to getting a flash drive of all our wedding photos in the mail, Aaron was quick to respond, diligent in his work and professionalism, and helpful and supportive through our questions and planning. But, more so, he made us feel at ease and comfortable through both our engagement session and our wedding day. As two people not entirely comfortable being in front of a camera, he made it feel like we were being photographed by a good friend. Additionally, Aaron was prompt and timely with everything. As mentioned, he responded to emails quickly and sent his hard work in a timely manner. But, on the day of the wedding, he arrived at each location on time, captured moments perfectly, and was creative in his shots. If we could praise one aspect of his work in particular, it would be his ability to use natural light in his photos. His photographs really are beautiful. All in all, Aaron certainly did not disappoint. Should we ever need photography services again, Aaron would be our go-to!
