We are so grateful to Aaron Topfer. Everyone was raving about how great he was at our wedding. Aaron and his violinist played at our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner. Their music was fantastic as they included our requests in their performance. Aaron was an unbelievable DJ who incorporated all of our “must plays” while creating excitement and a fun atmosphere. He only made a few announcements and came with “no cheese” as he had promised. Highly recommended!

Amazing DJ. Aaron was a big hit at our wedding. He also played piano with a violinist at our ceremony and they did a great job. We got tons of compliments about all the music. Not cheesy at all and lots of fun. Aaron was also a big help with our wedding preparations and gave us great overall advice.

We hired Aaron Topfer for our November wedding because he offered us live ceremony music options along with DJ. He was able to play piano and also hired a violinist for us for our ceremony. The duo did a phenomenal job! We received a ton of compliments about their music. Aaron also played jazz piano music for our cocktail hour and dinner portion. Everyone appreciated his playing - especially my parents who always complain about the music being too loud at weddings. Later on, Aaron DJ’ed and got everyone on the dance floor. I have honestly never seen such a packed dance floor at a wedding.o

We booked Aaron's business partner Nik Shukla for our September wedding in Meredith, NH for cocktail hour and reception entertainment. Nik was extremely kind, detail oriented, thorough, and thoughtful. My husband and I had been to only a few weddings before our own and we found it very valuable to lean on Nik's expertise and understanding of the day's flow. Nik had a very clear process and system and implemented it with ease, which I greatly appreciated as someone who is type A and process-driven. Nik was also extremely professional, which is evident from the moment you speak with him and a very important characteristic of your wedding emcee--you're trusting them with a microphone! He was very smooth with transitions, not cheesy at all, and kept everything running on time. Nik invests a lot of time with you and shows a great deal of dedication and passion. He has a strong understanding of the science behind music and a clear formula for what songs will or won't work on the dance floor, which we individually picked and confirmed together on a call. We danced nonstop for the 2.5hrs--guests across all age groups kept telling us how it was the most fun they've had dancing at a wedding! Nik was an integral part in helping our wedding day run so smoothly and it was an absolute dream. He did an excellent job and we would highly recommend hiring him for your event.

I read his one bad review and could not disagree more with that person now having used him. Aaron played only songs from the list we provided with the exception of one song which I’m so glad he played because it was a newer one I forgot to include! Aaron helped to create the most perfect Wedding day! He gave us his honest opinions, really helped to shape our wedding day, and provided the perfect sound track for us! He took our likes and dislikes and created the perfect playlist for our cocktail hour and reception. For our ceremony he took the songs that we wanted and made everything flow so seamlessly. Most of our guests said that they don't dance at weddings, but they danced at ours all night long! Even after the wedding people continued to say how amazing Aaron was on our wedding day! We found Aaron through The Knot website. We inquired through his comprehensive website and met very quickly. Aaron was able to give details and insights to wedding ceremonies and receptions that really made us secure in our choice to hire him. He was responsive through the planning process and offer advice when needed. We had a very detailed phone conversation with Aaron prior to our wedding on 10/27/24. He nailed down all of our preferences in music and every other detail you can imagine. On the day our of wedding, he played the piano live for our ceremony. He was prompt and receptive and made sure it all went off without any interruption. He is a fantastic pianist and even though we were originally unsure we wanted this aspect, we were so happy and amazed by his talent. During our reception Aaron followed our plan to a T and was flexible to meet our needs and requests. His professionalism and his kindness were noted by many guests. When the dance floor opened, people were up and dancing ALL NIGHT LONG. He played hit after hit, tailored to our interests. and to those of our guests. We booked Nik as our wedding DJ in September. He did such an incredible job planning, coordinating and executing the event. He is extremely kind and talented in his profession. He really goes above and beyond to get to know his couples so that he can give them their dream wedding. He did multiple phone planning sessions with us - one where we initially booked and we discussed a general timeline and such. Then a few weeks before the event we made our playlists together. It was a very throughout meeting, and Nik explains everything so well. We weren’t very knowledgeable about weddings and he made us feel like we could ask him any question. He is so dedicated to his couples it’s amazing. I could tell after only speaking to him once that he is incredibly passionate and puts all his heart into his work. He is very much people person and makes you feel so comfortable. We barely had any wedding stress due to his efforts. Nik is so helpful with music planning. Their company has a great system for music ranking that is a very helpful resource. Nik was very flexible with changes in plans when the person we asked to play live music backed out and we had to have him play music instead. He was excellent with communication amongst the other vendors and making sure to keep us on track too! We loved the music he played and he was so flexible and nice with everything. We LOVED our experience working with him! Sure an amazing person. Cannot recommend him enough to other couples.

How I found Aaron was a bit of a funny story. I was in a local NH subreddit and someone was anonymously raving about him. I went to his website and found out that he was doing a special with live ceremony and cocktail hour music, and DJd music for the reception. We were still deciding between a band and a DJ at the time, and figured this was the best of both worlds. He had fantastic reviews, so we decided to book him. I promise you, all these reviews talking about a packed dance floor all night are telling you the truth. I seriously don’t know how he does it. I’m getting compliments from all my friends saying that we had the best wedding DJ they’ve ever seen, and ALL of our guests were still on the dance floor when the lights came on. Even our grandparents were dancing! The venue and Aaron had to tell people the night was over because no one wanted to leave. So many of my guests told me they got his contact info for their own weddings, and the venue told us the next day they want to make him a preferred vendor! PLEASE HIRE AARON HE WILL MAKE YOUR NIGHT AMAZING!

We booked Aaron by way of referrals from several friends who had hired him for their own weddings and he did not disappoint! Music is so important for a wedding and we hired Aaron about 15 months before our wedding. Aaron took the time to answer every question we had from that point to our wedding day. He is obviously very experienced and knowledgeable and he helped guide us through all of our planning while allowing us to put our unique stamp on all of the song choices. We especially liked that he could provide a live piano- violin duo for our ceremony (he played the piano himself) and that he doesn’t speak a lot on the microphone during the reception party (which is exactly what we wanted).

Aaron is a truly talented musician who also offers an AMAZING DJ service. He is professional and a great communicator who always responded quickly to all of our questions and last minute changes. For the same price that other DJs charged for just DJing, we were able to get a ceremony musician, a cocktail hour musician, PLUS a reception DJ. I will be honest - I was skeptical that Aaron would be as good as advertised after seeing the large number of super positive reviews. He really is that good. Piano + DJing both were great. Super organized and easy to work with on the planning front. Was helpful in giving us tips on how to make the day go smoothly, but open to some of our non-conventional ideas that we wanted to include. We had a song that we wanted to use in the ceremony that he learned specifically for us, despite being given a cobbled-together arrangement that a friend helped us make (full sheet music wasn't available). We'd recommend Aaron to anyone. Two of our best friends already used him for their wedding, and he was awesome for them as well.

Aaron was excellent. He was our music at our August 2023 wedding and provided everything A to Z. Aaron checked in with us several times in the months leading up to our wedding and was communicative, helpful, and organized. Aaron was absolutely incredible! He listened to all our suggestions and did a great job making our wedding day perfect. We were the first of most of our friends to get married and didn't really know what we were doing and Aaron helped guide us with all of the music choices and planning. We wanted to skip some things day-of and he adjusted our schedule easily without complaints. We had given him some specific requests for ceremony music and everything was absolutely beautiful. For the reception, once we opened up the dance floor people stayed all night. My husband and I are 24 and 26 YO and we requested primarily 2000s hits and he absolutely made it happen! In the words of one of our groomsmen "this DJ needs to stop playing so many bangers!". Absolutely would recommend Aaron for any wedding or event.

I’m here writing a review for my June 2015 wedding not because Aaron needs more 5 star reviews but because he deserves it. Aaron is incredibly professional and organized. He played the piano along with a live violinist at our ceremony, the piano for the cocktail hour and the music at the reception kept the floor packed and we had so many compliments on the music. The real reason I’m writing this review is because of Aaron’s microphone system he uses for the wedding. He told us it’s the one the White House uses, which seemed insignificant but since our wedding 8 years ago, we have not been to a single wedding where the mic didn’t crack or do something. Additionally our wedding took place near the ocean on a windy day and we were thrilled to have his sound system. You should certainly book him!!

Aaron was our DJ and piano player for our June, 2023 wedding in New Hampshire. He is super organized and did phenomenally-well at to create the dance party we always envisioned with our family and friends. Basically, my parents, aunts, and uncles got to hear their rock classics, my husband and his friends got their hip- hop, and my friends got their Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. Aaron was fantastic. We had a mutli culture wedding with lots of different songs of a different language and he killed it in keeping everything organized. His piano skills during cocktail hour were amazing and he was very efficient and organized with set up at a few different sites at our venue. The only thing I MIGHT change is just that song were played a hair too long on rare occasion and I had to give him a cue to move on later in the night. To his defense, these were “must play” unconventional songs and we probably should have clarified we only wanted a snippet. But overall, Aaron was great and I’d recommend any day!

All in all, we got the live music we wanted for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner along with the tunes we wanted to hear after dinner. Definitely no-cheese and definitely one of the best parts of our wedding!

DJ Aaron gave us an unbeatable combination of live ceremony music, live cocktails music, and a fun DJ/MC! The music at our wedding was one of the most important parts for us. Aaron's piano music set a beautiful tone from the beginning at our ceremony. Everyone loved dancing to the new music and throwbacks that Aaron DJ'ed at our reception. I recommend Aaron for anyone looking for a one-stop music shop that is well-organized, helpful and affordable.

Aaron was a great find for us! He played piano at our ceremony and also hired a violinist we requested at the last minute. Aaron helped us put together a perfect playlist of eclectic music at our reception. My only regret is that we couldn’t be at the cocktail hour when Aaron played jazz piano (we were taking pictures). Our guests said everything was memorable, especially our venue and the music!

Aaron was the DJ at my sister's wedding almost 10 years ago! We hired him because he plays the piano beautifully, is easy to work with, and is truly talented at what he does. I've been to far too many weddings where the DJ talks more than they play music. Aaron is not like this at all. He is not too talkative - only announcing what needs to be announced and he plays great music that everyone loves. He did not disappoint at my sister's wedding and he did not disappoint at our wedding either!

Aaron was a lucky find for us! We are so pleased with his piano playing at our ceremony and cocktail hour. His played all of our requests for the night and really got the crowd up and moving. All while being “100% non-cheesy” as he promised.

Aaron was very responsive with his communications and he made us feel very comfortable from when we first spoke with him. His ability to play the piano at our ceremony and DJ our reception made him stand above the other DJ choices we had for our wedding. He was accommodating throughout and played all of our songfest requests for ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. The dance floor was definitely the place to be after dinner and everything flowed perfectly. At a recent Thanksgiving get together, my family reminded me how much fun our wedding was and how great Aaron was. Thank you Aaron!
