From the early stages of helping us select our perfect package, to the food tasting and logistics, Abbey made our wedding absolutely perfect. Fortunately for us we had Abbey Catering and Events in our corner! From the moment that we hit the ground running, Abbey Catering was with us every step of the way.  From our first fantastic contact with Will, to locking in our awesome DJ Abel, to Megan and Chuck doing just a stellar job planning and coordinating the entire event A-Z, our Gorgeous wedding day was nothing short of phenomenal.  Not only were we blown away by the clear and helpful communication, but this team absolutely knows what they are doing in their industry and it shows in their kindness, Care and consideration and attention to detail! They even stepped in to save the day when our initial reception venue had complications and we had to relocate. The food was so delicious, the bar was amazing and kept the party going, and the music and event space truly blew any of our expectations out of the water. From the bottom of our hearts, we are so incredibly grateful for the team at Abby catering and would highly recommend them to any couples looking for an event company to handle such an important day. It’s no secret that there are plenty of options to choose from especially in Southern California when it comes to catering and event planning, but hands-down, Abby catering and events are the folks you should go with. 10/10 Stars! Once we signed our contract, Petr Trebin became our main point of contact, and he was absolutely incredible—always quick to respond, proactive, and reassuring every step of the way. Our wedding day (8/31/25) was nothing short of perfect, and I still can’t believe how flawlessly everything came together. The Abbey team worked seamlessly behind the scenes, and we received endless compliments from our guests about how delicious the food was and how smoothly the day flowed. On top of it all, Petr went above and beyond by taking candid photos throughout the day and surprising us with 60+ images the very next morning. Seeing those photos before even getting a sneak peek from our professional photographers (Deborah Shields and Miranda Smith, who were also wonderful to work with) was such a special and unexpected gift. Abbey’s professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made our day unforgettable. Their five-star reputation is 100% deserved, and we could not recommend them more highly. nal from day one! When we first inquired, Will was great at explaining all of the packages they provide and answering any questions we had. After we signed, we were assigned to Petr Trebin our amazing wedding coordinator!! Petr truly brought our vision to life and we are SO thankful for all of the work he did to make it our dream wedding! Petr made the time leading up to our wedding day and the actual day so seamless! He managed the timeline, coordinated with all of the vendors, and beautifully set up our welcome table and reception tables! He also made sure to have apps and drinks set aside for us after the ceremony to enjoy! He truly thinks of everything and is the best! The food was absolutely incredible and a major highlight for both us and our guests. We chose the dual entrée of panko-herb crusted chicken and NY striploin, which were both flavorful and beautifully plated. During cocktail hour, guests raved about the tray-passed appetizers and loved our open bar! David the event captain, and their team made it a great experience for our guests. We had our cake and cupcakes included in the package through Sugar Bear Provisions and our guests were raving about how delicious this was! The florals that were included in the package from Emerald & Ivy were breathtaking from the ceremony arch to the bouquet and reception tables! They were also flexible with us providing our own vases since we had specific vases we wanted to use, which tied perfectly with the gold flatware and charger plates we upgraded to! Our DJ Brian who was included in the package through the wedding entertainment collective was awesome! He kept the energy high, and the music was a perfect blend of our favorite styles and totally reflected our personalities as a couple! We also opted to include photography & videography in our package and both Deb and Tareq were fabulous to work with! We love being able to look back on our video and photos that takes us right back to our day. Every vendor included in the their all-inclusive package through The Abbey was top-tier, and we are so grateful to the entire team for making our wedding day feel effortless, beautiful, and completely us! If you're planning a wedding in San Diego, we highly recommend them! They truly are wonderful to work with!

guests agreed. Chuck, our coordinator, was such a pleasure to work with and used his expertise to make things so easy for us. The DJ, photographer, florals, rentals, and cake were all 10/10. The way it worked as a package saved us THOUSANDS of dollars and made planning a breeze. I couldn't imagine doing it any other way. I would strongly recommend this company to anyone planning a wedding, if we would have started with Abbey and not with an outside wedding planner, things would have been much easier! This is the way to go!

On the day itself, everything ran like clockwork. The food was outstanding (we’re still getting compliments from guests!), the staff was professional and warm, and every detail was handled with care and precision. What stood out most was the genuine care the Abbey team showed for us and our guests. They went above and beyond to make sure we could simply enjoy the day — and we did, thanks to them. er accomplished in TWO HOURS what the other planner was unable to accomplish in FOUR MONTHS. Petr, our Abbey planner, just had a giant checklist and we went through everything, and then it was all set! I'm over-simplifying a bit - Petr also provided all the customization we could ask for and was more than willing to accommodate to our indidualized needs - but I can't stress how easy-going, professsional, efficient, understanding, and organized he was. This is a guy at the top of his game, truly an expert in his field. My wife and I walked into this completely unaware of what to expect and how to create a wedding. We got a little mixed up getting another planner in addition to Abbey involved, but Petr from Abbey sorted the whole thing out and set us straight. We definitely should have gone with just Abbey from the start! (It was all okay in the end - Petr gracefully recovered where the other, non-Abbey planner failed). In the end the wedding went off without a hitch. Petr organized the whole thing. Truly amazing. Bravo, Abbey!

the-bride, I was able to engage and support my daughter at times and in ways that were convenient — all because Petr was prepared, knowledgeable, flexible and provides outstanding advice. As a military family, I joked that Petr is like the special forces of wedding planning. His presence provided just the right fire-power for everything from delicate situations that required discretion and experience, to the big decisions that had tremendous impact. I loved the way he supported my daughter to make this an absolutely beautiful day for the bride, groom and their extended family and friends. Abbey’s wedding coordinator, Petr, was extremely knowledgeable about the Scripps Seaside Forum. He walked us through every step and helped us anticipate so many details we would not have been prepared to address. Since he knows the venue and the ecosystem of vendors in the La Jolla area, I was impressed and pleased by the quality of each vendor he identified. My daughter wanted a venue that permitted more flexibility and freedom than most wedding venues at hotels, clubs and wedding reception halls. This means that she did not want to select options from a “pick list,” because she wanted to manage the budget and express the couple’s creativity with her own choices. Petr was instrumental in facilitating this wedding by connecting her with resources, advising her on trickier decisions and attending to the myriad details. The end result was a spectacular wedding for about 150 guests with delicious food, gorgeous setting, perfect weather, and a very happy couple. It was absolutely wonderful. Every vendor from catering, bar service, DJ, flowers and event rentals worked seamlessly, with smiles and punctual, professional services. I most strongly recommend Abbey Catering and Petr Trebn!

I feel so extremely lucky to have had Chuck Ferrante as our coordinator - he was the easiest person to work with in the months leading up to the wedding. I never felt pressure from Chuck to add any unnecessary features or costs to our day and he was so helpful with suggestions, tips & tricks to make sure our day was seamless and beautiful. Our wedding day was perfect and I trusted Chuck 100% to make my vision come to life - he is calming, organized, professional and a just a true pleasure to be around!! Can't say enough good things about Chuck! Now for the food - delicious! I never have high expectations for wedding food but we are still getting compliments on our appetizers and dinner selections from our guests. The staff was extremely attentive the entire night and there was not one complaint from our guests, only compliments! I was in a wedding a few weeks after mine and the coordinator for this wedding was considered a "luxury wedding planner". The organization, planning and execution from the Abbey team was leaps and bounds ahead of this "luxury" wedding planner - I couldn't be happier with our decision to go with the Abbey!
