Abbey is a one-stop shop for anything you need for your event. We booked the photographer, DJ, photobooth, and all the catering services through Abbey. This meant, we only had one point of contact for the majority of the wedding. So convenient! All our guests had such a great time. The food was exquisite, drinks were tasty, photobooth was a hit, and dancefloor was LIT (shoutout to Brian, the best DJ). We hope to have an excuse to plan an event with them in the future!

the best meal experiences I’ve had all year. The hardest part was only choosing two entrees. Months in advance we felt covered on everything from music to flowers. Can’t recommend them enough. Having someone who put it all together for us allowed us to focus on the decisions and what we wanted, not the logistics of tying it all together. Special shoutout to Chuck Ferrante, who made our wedding day a smooth and stress-free experience. He kept everything on track, made us feel special and at ease, and coordinated all the vendors. While he may not look like how you would imagine a wedding coordinator, he is the best one we have ever seen.

He was a great support system, always answered our questions, and was PHENOMENAL on the day of our wedding. We had a plate of appetizers and champagne waiting for us after the ceremony and he constantly checked-in with us to make sure we were doing okay. We especially loved getting to meet both him and Will in person at their incredible food tasting, which made us even more excited (and confident!) about our choices. The food was truly out of this world and deserves a special shoutout. During cocktail hour, guests raved about the hummus and pita, bacon-wrapped dates, arancini balls, and mini beef Wellingtons—each bite was flavorful and perfectly prepared. For dinner, we chose a dual entrée of salmon and pork served with seasonal vegetables and truffle mashed potatoes, and it exceeded every expectation. Multiple guests told us it was some of the best salmon they’ve ever had. We heard over and over again that this was the best wedding food our guests had ever experienced—and as the bride and groom, we completely agree! All of their partnered vendors were excellent and we feel so lucky to have been connected with all of them through Abbey. Mishele’s floral arrangements were nothing short of stunning—every piece was beautifully designed and elevated the entire atmosphere of our event. We received so many compliments on the flowers! Renato and everyone at SugarBear Sweet Provisions absolutely blew us away with the cake and cupcakes—they were not only gorgeous but also incredibly delicious. Our guests are still talking about them! Tareq was a joy to work with, and he even brought out his drone to use to capture footage of our special day! We cannot wait to see his wedding video, he is so talented. DJ Brain was incredible!!! His communication was excellent, and he brought so much positive energy to our event, set up our mic stands seamlessly, and got everyone onto the dance floor! Chuck was truly a standout throughout the entire day. His coordination was flawless, ensuring everything ran seamlessly behind the scenes. We had so many small décor items, and he set up every single detail perfectly—it honestly exceeded anything we could have imagined. At one point, he even found double-sided sticky tape to make sure our candles stood up straight on every table. He went above and beyond in every way—bringing us plates of appetizers during cocktail hour and even surprising us with passionfruit mojitos throughout the night without us having to ask. That level of attentiveness meant so much to us. And finally, the Abbey service staff were exceptional—professional, attentive, and incredibly kind. They made sure our guests were well taken care of and contributed so much to the overall experience. If you are getting married or planning an event in San Diego, do yourself a favor and book this team—you will not find a more talented, organized, and genuinely caring group of people. They exceeded every expectation and then some. Highly, highly recommend!

nd really knew his information. We clicked instantly and it was such a pleasure to talk with him and meet him in person. We signed up for the tasting before signing with Abbey Catering and that was such a great experience. We got to meet Will in person and there was so much food to try and luckily bring home. After meeting Will we really had a great feeling and signed up within that week. The food was incredible at the tasting, and it was hard choosing which entrée and hours d’oeuvres to choose from since everything was so good. Chuck, our wedding coordinator, was beyond great and so helpful. He was such an asset to have on our side and really made the day go smooth. He was also so friendly and great to work with. We really felt like we made friends with our Abbey team 😊 There were absolutely no hiccups whatsoever and I was so calm the whole day. David, our catering lead, was another amazing team member. He was right there to offer us food first and make sure we had enough of our share. The rest of the catering team always made us a priority too and I was very hungry after the ceremony in between pictures so that was so great. We ordered the following for tray passed hors d’oeuvres: petite beef wellington, wild mushroom arancini, bruschetta, and bacon wrapped stuffed dates. We opted for the dual entrée of the boneless short ribs, and the panko-herb crusted chicken with vegetables and the truffle smashed potatoes. All were so good and I wish I could eat them all again 😊 Our guests could not stop raving about the food. They even made dietary restriction meals for several of our guests, and they said it was one of the best vegan/vegetarian meals they have ever had. We really were impressed with the food and so glad we went with Abbey as that was important for us to have really good tasting food. We opted for the whole package with their vendors for flowers, DJ, photographer, and cake. Best decision ever!!! We had Emerald and Ivy for the florist and my goodness Mishele, and the Abbey team put together exactly what I pictured in my mind! Such beautiful flowers and we rented bud vases and candles from her. DJ Abel from the Wedding Entertainment Collective was beyond amazing! He played our songs and knew the vibes we were going for. The dance floor was a hit, and our guests were dancing the whole night. Everyone was telling us the DJ was so good! Misha, our photographer, was amazing and made us feel so comfortable. The pictures are so beautiful! The cake and mini cupcakes from Sugar Bears Sweet Provisions were out of this world! I’m so glad we saved our wedding cake because we ate it the next day. Our guests loved the mini cupcakes too and we even had enough to give out at treats and take home. We really are so grateful we decided to go with Abbey catering. They really went above and beyond. The whole team, Will, Chuck, David, and the caterers were 10 out of 10 Thank you so much and to the Abbey vendors for making our day even more special! *I have tried uploading photos so many times but the Knot website lags. hat trying to work with a bunch of separate vendors ourselves from a different location would be extremely challenging. Having Chuck and the Abbey team working with us made the planning process much less stressful. They worked with us the whole way to make sure our wedding was everything we wanted and more, and were great about engaging with not just us but our family members who lived locally to manage parts of the process. Through the whole planning process and the wedding itself, Chuck’s leadership and coordination efforts kept us confident that the day would go off without a hitch. Abbey’s partner vendors for photography, florals, DJ services, and dessert were all excellent and easy to work with – our photographer Chris Wood and DJ Brian Amarillas were particularly wonderful. All of this culminated in a wedding that was truly perfect! We can’t recommend Abbey Catering highly enough.

I am not a details-oriented bride but they still helped me pull together a wedding all of our friends are still talking about. Will answered our 1000 questions through out the whole process without complaint and Petr helped walk us through different detail and design options and totally steered us in the right direction. On the day of the wedding Petr ran around and made sure everything was set up tastefully and complete, and kept us totally on track. I could not imagine doing our wedding without the Abbey team. That group and the other vendors we worked with as part of their package were top notch. Even my bridesmaids who had gotten married before were also impressed. 10/10 recommend and cannot say enough good things!

n on who to book. The bundle package made it a no brainer, however I felt reassured the whole way. Throughout the planning process, Abbey took care of us. Petr Trebin was assigned as our coordinator, and I cannot say enough how much peace of mind this provided me. He paid attention to every little detail, offered his opinions/recommendations when I felt uncertain, answered questions I didn't even know that I had - and this was just the planning process. On the actual wedding day, he went above and beyond. And I know many people use this phrase, but I need to say Petr actually did. There were several last minute change ups that he had to navigate (for example, I forgot to let him know we would be doing the Hora since it was a half Jewish wedding. We didn't have the chairs to do this, so he told me he would see what he would do. Well, he found the chairs, he spoke with our DJ (Dax) and we did the Hora and it was perfect.), and my rowdy wedding party did a great job with the ceremony all because of Petr's helpful instruction. He made the entire day and evening run SO smoothly and honestly it was the best day of my life. I recommend every bride to at least strongly consider Abbey Catering for their wedding needs - and do the bundle package! The vendors I worked with were all amazing but I will do separate reviews for them as well. Before I forget, the food was also incredible. All of my guests were raving about how good the food was throughout the weekend, so 10/10 there as well. Service was also perfect, everyone was on point and everyone had a smile! I wish I remembered the names of everyone who worked my wedding, because every single person on staff helped make the day a giant success. One last HUGE thank you Petr, Troy, and the entire Abbey crew for making my day perfect!

hey helped bring our wedding vision to life with care, creativity, and professionalism. Every detail was covered, and we consistenly felt like the team had our best interests at heart. A standout star was our incredible coordinator, Petr. Petr was calm, clear, and kind, a real guiding light throughout the whole process, especially because we really needed a lot of poking and prodding and encouragement to make decisions along the way! He was always one (or more!) steps ahead and made sure things ran smoothly without ever making us feel rushed or stressed. He handled details big and small with so much grace, and made us feel truly taken care of. He also was superb at coordinating many parties—rentals, florist, photographer, band, photo booth, venue, etc. During our first dance, my tuxedo button snapped off—Petr told us so casually “no problem, I brought a sewing kit,” and it was fixed in minutes. Incredible. The food was above our expectation, and our guests had a lot of nice comments! The mushroom arancini apps were an instant hit. Abbey asked us for our feedback during the initial tasting, making sure that things like glazes weren’t too sweet or the seasoning was exactly how we wanted. That level of thoughtfulness makes all the difference. The main courses were just as wonderful, and the salmon deserves a special shoutout — it was perfectly cooked, moist and flavorful. Having had some experience working in catering myself, I have to say that I was impressed! Our cake (cheesecake) from SugarBears great. It had an elegant simplicity that was perfectly gorgeous, and it was perfectly sweet/tangy. Michele, the florist for Abbey (Emerald & Ivy), was great at capturing our vision for a tropical/beachy feel (palms, Monstera) with whites, yellows, and greens. And special shout out to Chris Wood, our photographer, who over-delivered in photos for us and brought skill, expertise, and a sense of calm to our wedding. Many guests specifically commented on his calm but polite and firm direction. Abbey Catering & Events truely helped make our wedding day unforgettable. Their passion and professionalism shines through in everything they do, and we’re just so grateful we chose them. We just wish we could re-live it again!
