DJ Brian was amazing and kept everyone on the dance floor, and Deb, our photographer, was absolutely wonderful. The servers and bartenders were phenomenal and went above and beyond for us and our guests all night. The food was DELICIOUS and we had so many guests tell us how much they loved it. The desserts from Sugar Bear were also incredible and such a hit. There are so many moving pieces that go into a wedding and we’re really grateful for all of the people who worked behind the scenes to make ours so special. We especially cannot say enough good things about the vendors and staff who showed up for us and made the day so much fun. Thank you for helping us create a weekend we’ll never forget! 🤍

When it came to the day of, I swear the food was even better than when we tasted it! Every single person from the event staff was professional, fun, and did an amazing job. The bar never had a long line, the drinks were strong and well made, service was truly a standout feature of the wedding. It was really a standout feature of the whole process of planning our wedding with Abbey. It is a full team of people there to help out with anything, and I want to thank them for their guidance, and patience with us. Another massive feature of Abbey is the vendors they work with. I want to give a huge shoutout to our DJ Abel from The Wedding Entertainment Collective, and Chris from SD Photo Studio. Amazing vendors recommended by Abbey that made a huge impact on how well our day went. A very special thanks to everyone at Abbey; Will, Chuck, Megan for their amazing support in planning, and selling us on Abbey in the first place! Then a massive thank you to David, our coordinator/event captain. You were so easy to work with, the day went so smooth, and made sure we never lifted a finger or had a single worry all throughout the day. It was all so perfect, you have our eternal gratitude and thanks! They help us provide the best wedding we could have hoped for, and are constantly being told by our friends and family how fun it was.

e because all of their offerings and services were fully customizable. On top of that, he took the time to get to know us and understand our vision for this wedding. David and Petr took over from there to flesh out the wedding details, providing their expertise to ensure we didn't miss anything and communicated with us regularly to ensure the planning process happened in a timely manner, thereby reducing stress. Petr was our day-of coordinator, and the day could not have gone more perfectly. Petr is thoughtful, considerate, detail-oriented, and has amazing vision. We were able to focus on enjoying the wedding knowing Petr had the whole event under control. The day really was a dream and it's all thanks to the magnificent Abbey team (especially Petr!). Abbey is a one-stop shop for anything you need for your event. We booked the photographer, DJ, photobooth, and all the catering services through Abbey. This meant, we only had one point of contact for the majority of the wedding. So convenient! All our guests had such a great time. The food was exquisite, drinks were tasty, photobooth was a hit, and dancefloor was LIT (shoutout to Brian, the best DJ). We hope to have an excuse to plan an event with them in the future!

the best meal experiences I’ve had all year. The hardest part was only choosing two entrees. Months in advance we felt covered on everything from music to flowers. Can’t recommend them enough. Having someone who put it all together for us allowed us to focus on the decisions and what we wanted, not the logistics of tying it all together. Special shoutout to Chuck Ferrante, who made our wedding day a smooth and stress-free experience. He kept everything on track, made us feel special and at ease, and coordinated all the vendors. While he may not look like how you would imagine a wedding coordinator, he is the best one we have ever seen.

He was a great support system, always answered our questions, and was PHENOMENAL on the day of our wedding. He took the time to walk us through every detail, answer all of our questions, and make us feel completely confident in the process. Petr was also incredibly helpful throughout the planning process—so kind, enthusiastic, and genuinely a joy to work with. We especially loved getting to meet both him and Will in person at their incredible food tasting, which made us even more excited (and confident!) about our choices. The food was truly out of this world and deserves a special shoutout. During cocktail hour, guests raved about the hummus and pita, bacon-wrapped dates, arancini balls, and mini beef Wellingtons—each bite was flavorful and perfectly prepared. For dinner, we chose a dual entrée of salmon and pork served with seasonal vegetables and truffle mashed potatoes, and it exceeded every expectation. Multiple guests told us it was some of the best salmon they’ve ever had. We heard over and over again that this was the best wedding food our guests had ever experienced—and as the bride and groom, we completely agree! All of their partnered vendors were excellent and we feel so lucky to have been connected with all of them through Abbey. Mishele’s floral arrangements were nothing short of stunning—every piece was beautifully designed and elevated the entire atmosphere of our event. We received so many compliments on the flowers! Renato and everyone at SugarBear Sweet Provisions absolutely blew us away with the cake and cupcakes—they were not only gorgeous but also incredibly delicious. Our guests are still talking about them! Tareq was a joy to work with, and he even brought out his drone to use to capture footage of our special day! We cannot wait to see his wedding video, he is so talented. DJ Brain was incredible!!! His communication was excellent, and he brought so much positive energy to our event, set up our mic stands seamlessly, and got everyone onto the dance floor! Chuck was truly a standout throughout the entire day. His coordination was flawless, ensuring everything ran seamlessly behind the scenes. We had so many small décor items, and he set up every single detail perfectly—it honestly exceeded anything we could have imagined. At one point, he even found double-sided sticky tape to make sure our candles stood up straight on every table. He went above and beyond in every way—bringing us plates of appetizers during cocktail hour and even surprising us with passionfruit mojitos throughout the night without us having to ask. That level of attentiveness meant so much to us. And finally, the Abbey service staff were exceptional—professional, attentive, and incredibly kind. They made sure our guests were well taken care of and contributed so much to the overall experience. If you are getting married or planning an event in San Diego, do yourself a favor and book this team—you will not find a more talented, organized, and genuinely caring group of people. They exceeded every expectation and then some. Highly, highly recommend!

nd really knew his information. We clicked instantly and it was such a pleasure to talk with him and meet him in person. We signed up for the tasting before signing with Abbey Catering and that was such a great experience. We got to meet Will in person and there was so much food to try and luckily bring home. After meeting Will we really had a great feeling and signed up within that week. The food was incredible at the tasting, and it was hard choosing which entrée and hours d’oeuvres to choose from since everything was so good. Chuck, our wedding coordinator, was beyond great and so helpful. He was such an asset to have on our side and really made the day go smooth. He was also so friendly and great to work with. We really felt like we made friends with our Abbey team 😊 There were absolutely no hiccups whatsoever and I was so calm the whole day. David, our catering lead, was another amazing team member. He was right there to offer us food first and make sure we had enough of our share. The rest of the catering team always made us a priority too and I was very hungry after the ceremony in between pictures so that was so great. We ordered the following for tray passed hors d’oeuvres: petite beef wellington, wild mushroom arancini, bruschetta, and bacon wrapped stuffed dates. We opted for the dual entrée of the boneless short ribs, and the panko-herb crusted chicken with vegetables and the truffle smashed potatoes. All were so good and I wish I could eat them all again 😊 Our guests could not stop raving about the food. They even made dietary restriction meals for several of our guests, and they said it was one of the best vegan/vegetarian meals they have ever had. We really were impressed with the food and so glad we went with Abbey as that was important for us to have really good tasting food. We opted for the whole package with their vendors for flowers, DJ, photographer, and cake. Best decision ever!!! We had Emerald and Ivy for the florist and my goodness Mishele, and the Abbey team put together exactly what I pictured in my mind! Such beautiful flowers and we rented bud vases and candles from her. DJ Abel from the Wedding Entertainment Collective was beyond amazing! He played our songs and knew the vibes we were going for. The dance floor was a hit, and our guests were dancing the whole night. Everyone was telling us the DJ was so good! Misha, our photographer, was amazing and made us feel so comfortable. The pictures are so beautiful! The cake and mini cupcakes from Sugar Bears Sweet Provisions were out of this world! I’m so glad we saved our wedding cake because we ate it the next day. Our guests loved the mini cupcakes too and we even had enough to give out at treats and take home. We really are so grateful we decided to go with Abbey catering. They really went above and beyond. The whole team, Will, Chuck, David, and the caterers were 10 out of 10 Thank you so much and to the Abbey vendors for making our day even more special! *I have tried uploading photos so many times but the Knot website lags. Just know it was beautiful and the food not only looked amazing but tasted so good.

hat trying to work with a bunch of separate vendors ourselves from a different location would be extremely challenging. Having Chuck and the Abbey team working with us made the planning process much less stressful. They worked with us the whole way to make sure our wedding was everything we wanted and more, and were great about engaging with not just us but our family members who lived locally to manage parts of the process. Through the whole planning process and the wedding itself, Chuck’s leadership and coordination efforts kept us confident that the day would go off without a hitch. Abbey’s partner vendors for photography, florals, DJ services, and dessert were all excellent and easy to work with – our photographer Chris Wood and DJ Brian Amarillas were particularly wonderful. All of this culminated in a wedding that was truly perfect! We can’t recommend Abbey Catering highly enough.

Will answered our 1000 questions through out the whole process without complaint and Petr helped walk us through different detail and design options and totally steered us in the right direction. On the day of the wedding Petr ran around and made sure everything was set up tastefully and complete, and kept us totally on track. I could not imagine doing our wedding without the Abbey team. That group and the other vendors we worked with as part of their package were top notch. Even my bridesmaids who had gotten married before were also impressed. 10/10 recommend and cannot say enough good things!
