I showed her an inspiration photo and she talked through it with me and we found a great look that was just what I wanted. It lasted the entire day and was even beautiful when I took it down the next day. From start to finish, Abby and Kaori were easy to work with, responsive, helpful and most importantly such a great people to have in the room the morning of your wedding!!!

I absolutely adore the team at Abby Lauren! They are the most professional, kind, thoughtful, and talented group of artists in the business. If you are nervous about getting your makeup done, have no fear with Abby! I was connected with Abby after I had an initial makeup trial with a different makeup artist that didn't go as well as hoped. Abby spoke with me over the phone for over an hour and listened to what I had felt unhappy with. We then met for a trial; Abby was not only patient, but she talked me through every step of what she was doing, and even allowed me to do my own eyebrow makeup (I'm finicky with those, haha) and welcomed all my questions throughout. On the day of my wedding, Abby did makeup for 8 of us! Most of my wedding party does not wear makeup on the day-to-day and they all shared that Abby was kind, patient, and talked them through each step of their application. Abby's presence was not only welcomed, it fit right in with the joy of the morning and also helped ease any nerves. My makeup was not only beautiful but lasted from 12 pm to 3:30 am! And I am a sweaty girl. I even left my lashes on for our family brunch the following morning and got compliments on how natural they looked. Long review, long, I cannot recommend Abby enough. She is thorough, kind, patient, and flexible. Her makeup enhances everyone's natural beauty and will stay through the hours of your day, rain, and sweat. 10/10 recommend!

In looking back on everything we coordinated to prepare for our wedding, hands down hiring Abby Lauren for our hair and makeup was the best decision. I can’t stress enough how incredible it was working with her team – especially Valeria, who gave me really helpful suggestions regarding my makeup, and ultimately delivered what I had envisioned. I hadn’t wanted to look too made up, just enough coverage to make the photos look good, and that’s exactly what I got. It’s been 6 months since our wedding, and my maid of honor and I still talk about how much we also loved Bailey, who styled our hair. I am so happy I found Abby and her team. I do not wear a lot of makeup regularly and Abby knew just how to give me a natural look that wasn’t dull in photos. I would not recommend this vendor - the hair stylist was rude, didn’t listen to what we were looking for, and the hair ended up looking completely unprofessional for our trial run, which was very expensive. Professional make up and hair products were not used, and with naturally curly hair, curling iron was used with no heat protectant which left hair damaged for days. We are also two brides and problematic language was used about “not being gay but getting the hottest girl at a gay club” while the trial was happening. I would not recommend this vendor.

I adored Abby from the minute I saw her! She did a trial makeup on my Matron of Honor and myself. We laughed ourselves silly through the whole process. We both had specific requests and she far exceeded our expectations. Because I was an older bride, I wanted my makeup to look natural . She made me look gorgeous without doing alot! She was so warm and friendly, and I booked to secure the 2022 rate for my 2023 wedding. I worked with Abby and Lynn for makeup and hair for my engagement photos, wedding trial, and wedding day. They are a well-oiled machine (and so fun)! They made me feel so beautiful and had me done in under an hour every single time. To accommodate the size of my party, Abby ensured we had enough stylists (2 for makeup, 2 for hair) for our wedding day. My bridal party (8 ladies + 1 flower girl) was skeptical that we only had a 9:45-12:15 window for everyone's hair and makeup, but Abby's team did the damn thing. Everyone loved their hair and makeup! I can't say enough about how much I appreciate Abby. Very professional, provided seamless communication throughout the entire process, and budget friendly pricing for NYC.

The team's performance was equally impressive. With a big group of 16 bridesmaids, plus the MOB and MOG, it was no small task to keep everyone happy. But every single one of them was pleased with their hair and makeup. The team was punctual, even finishing ahead of schedule, and the results were top-notch. I loved working with Abby for my wedding + engagement photos! She’s so amazing at what she does. We had her for our bridal party (me, 5 bridesmaids and mother of the bride) and everyone was obsessed with their looks. We had a smaller ceremony in Jan. in California, and although the hair and make up was beautiful that day, Abby blew them out of the water. And not only was her work impeccable, she made our morning super efficient by running things on time and sticking to the schedule without needing anyone to keep her on track. Abby and her team stayed for touch ups at our venue as well, and she was so sweet to help the groom with some cover up and to basically do all of the mother of the groom’s make up as well even though she wasn’t part of the original group since she wasn’t happy with where she went. She’s also so thoughtful. We had my baby nephew in the suite, and she was very considerate and respectful towards him/my brother in law even when others were being too loud or rude to them (and even sang him a little song!) Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend working with Abby. Her work is beautiful, but more importantly she’s such a calming presence and joy to be around on a day when people can really annoy the hell out of you or stress you out. I would definitely hire her for any event or any make up/hair needs I have in the future!

The absolute DREAM TEAM!! Abby and Lynn did the hair and make up of myself, my mum and two of my friends for my microwedding in NYC at the end of July. I’m from the U.K. so hadn’t met Abby prior to the day, therefore communication was super important. I couldn’t have been happier with Abby’s communication and felt very at ease for the big day. Upon arrival to the hotel Abby and Lynn had so much enthusiasm and personality and it was a fantastic morning with lots of laughs and stories shared, it was memorable for sure! We all felt absolutely beautiful , and given it was a very hot and humid day, our make up stayed put and my hair still looked fabulous at 10pm that night (and I have naturally curly hair that hates humidity)! Abby was amazing! She was so patient and listened to everyone's wants and needs. She knows exactly what do do for every type of complexion. My skin was so dry the morning of my wedding and she fixed it! She made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day and it even surpassed my vision of what I could look like. Abby was a rockstar and someone I could not recommend more highly for any event big or small. When my make up artist bailed on me 3 months before the wedding, I was recommended abby who immediately responded and I could not be more happy that fate stepped in. Not only was she the perfect personality to work with me and my sister and mom during the weekend, her taste, skill and execution was the perfect amount of what we needed. Make up held all night and she was able to take feedback (barely any needed) based on different likes and dislikes of those getting ready. Abby made me and those she worked in look like themselves and enhanced their natural features without looking overdone. Abby was incredibly punctual and a pleasure to work with and got along well and work without of hairstylist almost as if they’d known each other for years which is a testament to her demeanor and professionalism.

Abby along with her team Hailey and Lynn were UNREAL! They made us, as the brides, all of our bridesmaids and MOB feel so beautiful, relaxed and confident. Abby and her team made our entire squad look natural but still so glam! Everyone looked stunning and we were so happy with their work. We trusted Abby and her team and they certainly delivered! On top of their artistry they were full of personality and fit right in to our day. Having these three with us while getting ready was wonderful! Abby and her team arrived timely to our venue and kept us on track for getting ready - highly recommend!! Can't wait to visit Abby in her studio for glam in the future!

Superstar vendor alert!!! I don’t have the words to express just how incredible Abby Lauren’s team was. I had Hailey along with Marvin and Kaori doing the hair and makeup for myself and about 12ish other women. They were a dream team. Rewinding a bit: let me start off by saying that I have really sensitive skin and almost never wear makeup. When I went in for the trial, they were so patient with me and went slowly so we could collectively monitor how my skin was responding to the products. They made me feel so comfortable and taken care of in a moment when I was out of my comfort zone, which was invaluable leading up to and on the wedding day. They’re also funny and fun and brought great energy! It made getting ready so much more chill and it was the perfect way to start the marathon of a wedding day. ALSO: all my friends said they loved the way they looked (two even asked for their cards because their mothers texted that it was the best wedding hair/makeup they had ever seen on them). And by the end of the night, my makeup STILL looked amazing. I’ll be bummed if I’m getting my hair/makeup done for somebody else’s wedding, and it’s not by the Abby Lauren team. I don’t know what kind of magic this crew possesses, but I want it. TLDR: I can’t recommend them highly enough!! One of the best vendors we went with BY FAR. They were so easy to communicate and work with from pre-booking to the day-of. For my other sensitive-skin peeps out there, please know that this team will help take care of you and do everything that can to make sure you’re comfortable in your makeup. 100/10.

Abby Lauren Makeup and Hair is good people! Lynn did my wedding day hair + hair for my sister, mom and mother-in-law and everyone was very pleased. Some up-dos, some down—all very pretty! Leading up to my wedding, Abby was so lovely, accommodating, flexible and organized to work with—communicating with me throughout the planning process. (I ended up doing a second hair trial closer to my wedding because the first trial was before I finalized my dress and so long before my actually wedding date due to a Covid reschedule.) And Lynn was a doll. She's the hype girl you want on your wedding day—equal parts laid back and enthusiastic. You really can't go wrong with Abby and her team!

Abby is the absolute best!! She made me feel so comfortable during my makeup trial and she made it fun at the same time. I showed her a couple screenshots of hair and makeup inspo that I liked and she went above and beyond what I had pictured! She also welcomed and encouraged feedback from the trial and made meticulous notes. On my wedding day, Abby was efficient and super fun to work with. She did hair and makeup for my mom and I and also gave a little touch up kit! My wedding day was rainy and windy and my hair and makeup stayed intact throughout the entire day AND night up until 5 am haha I definitely recommend Abby and I’m looking forward to working with her again for any future events.

We took a long time finding a hair and makeup artist for our wedding because it was such an important part of our wedding day and timeline for us. With two brides, our bridal party was larger than most and we were having a hard time finding a makeup artist and hairstylist that wasn't terrified of two brides and two bridal parties. Abby didn't bat an eye at how many women we had for hair and makeup and was super confident she could get it done. Aside from the incredible job her team did on our makeup and hair, I need to emphasize how helpful and understanding Abby was leading up to the wedding. When we had the initial trial, we were incredibly happy with the makeup but were not as enthusiastic about the hair. Abby listened to our concerns and immediately offered us a second trial for free in order to get it right. We did our trial with Andrea and we LOVED it. Andrea ended up doing both of our hairs on the day and was beyond gracious and professional. My hair ended up taking a bit longer than we were scheduled for but she never gave off the impression she was rushing. My hair was probably my favorite part of my wedding because it turned out better than what the trial showed! Additionally, the day before the wedding, I had my one bridezilla moment where I called Abby crying on the phone about extensions. She didn't immediately hang up on me (although I think she should have!) and actually helped me solve my problem and concerns. Abby and her team are incredibly talented, incredibly knowledgeable about their craft, and are super gracious and kind to boot. We were really impressed with their work and demeanor and I would absolutely be hiring them again for future events. Bottom line...if you want someone who is going to make you feel beautiful and cared for on your wedding day....these ladies are the ones to do it.

Abby is truly a gem. In our more casual, intimate wedding, Abby perfectly executed the look I was going for with hair + makeup, whilst keeping the "getting-ready" vibe fun and enjoyable. Felt very fortunate that the stars aligned for us to work together and and would highly recommend her services.

In addition to making everyone look absolutely stunning, Abby and Lynn brought an insane amount of fun and positive energy to our wedding suite. Abby was so easy to work with. She set up an initial call to get to know me and what I was looking for. Everything from setting up the contract to payment was super easy. She followed up with me as the date got closer to help with the schedule. She was not able to join for my wedding setup but her team was fantastic. Everyone was super happy with the results and we ended all of our hair and makeup services earlier than scheduled. Overall, amazing!

This team is a MUST HIRE if you want to be surrounded by pure joy!! I knew from the second I got on a call with Abby that she runs an incredibly thoughtful business. Lynn is so skillful. I showed her my dress and she suggested a gorgeous party pony, which I loved. She was also incredibly gentle with my mom who is losing her hair. We both felt so incredibly beautiful! Elena is an artist and helped each person feel like an elevated version of themselves! My skin was glowing and all of our looks not only lasted all night but looked beautiful in photos. Lynn + Elena became part of our family the morning of getting ready. The energy was wonderful and really added to the tone of the day. I cannot recommend this team enough! They are lovely and really listen to what you want. While I did a trial, this is a team you could work with sight unseen given their level of craft and professionalism.

Abby (makeup) and Lynn (hair) were amazing! Not only were they the friendliest women, but they also put my mind at ease amongst all the chaos right before the wedding. They made my bridesmaids, mothers and me look like super models. My fiancé teared up when he saw me - could not believe his eyes. We had a lot of movement in our wedding - pictures in the park, ceremony, reception, rain in the beginning and end of the evening, but despite that - my hair and make up held up perfectly. Abby is the actual best makeup artist and human being you could dream of having on your wedding team. She is so talented, dedicated, kind, and fun to be around. She made us all feel so comfortable (even my mom who never wears makeup), listened to our ideas and feedback throughout, and truly made us all look the best we probably ever have or will. Abby and her team were absolutely fantastic. I have never felt more beautiful in my life, and I truly just enjoyed spending time with Abby too. She brought a fun energy into the "getting-ready" part of our special day. We had Abby stay for until after our wedding ceremony for touch ups, and I truly felt taken care of. Her team was very accommodating for my change of heart for my hair style and was able to fit me into her busy summer schedule for a second hair trial just a week before my wedding. She also shared makeup tips and took the time to send me a list of all the products she used. Abby made all of my bridesmaids feel so beautiful - one of my bridesmaids who has been in several weddings said it was the best makeup she ever had. It certainly was for me I can't wait until I have another local wedding or event to attend so I can hire Abby again!

Abby is the best. She understood exactly what I wanted and knocked it out of the park. She helped make my mom, who is not used to relaxing and getting glam, feel so wonderful. Having a way with parents goes a long way :) My makeup, lashes, and hair (done by Bailey) stayed FLAWLESS all day - my friends even kept commenting on it! Abby is an absolute delight to work with.

I loved working with the team from Abby Lauren Makeup and Hair. Abby was incredibly communicative and forthcoming right from the start. She made it so easy to work with her. She is very clear and up front about her policies to keep you and her team safe. I was able to set up a makeup trial with her very quickly. She made sure I worked with the actual team member, Aditi, who would be doing my makeup on my wedding day and Abby was there during the trial to help facilitate the whole process. Both of them listened to what I had envisioned but also made helpful tweaks and suggestions based on their professional experience. I left the trial feeling comfortable and confident. Abby arranged to have Aditi and an additional team member, Hailey, to help do hair and make up for my bridesmaids and family. On my actual wedding day, Aditi and Hailey were absolutely exceptional. They created a schedule for hair and makeup for everyone but were also willing to go with the flow as timing for various things got adjusted. Aditi and Hailey were fun and kind. They got along with our wedding party and the other vendors so well, we all had such a fun morning hanging out together. They worked seamlessly with the whole wedding party accommodating different looks for each person. Everyone felt cared for and heard. Aditi even incorporated notes we discussed via email after my makeup trial. Hailey was especially thoughtful and attentive to my family member with developmental disabilities - she made her feel included and beautiful and for that I am so grateful. I cannot recommend Abby and her team highly enough!

Abby and her team styled my wedding hair and make-up exactly how I'd envisioned. Doing a trial before the wedding day was super helpful - I was able to test run my up-do at another wedding (as a guest) to make sure that it held for the duration of the evening and I got to see how it looked in pictures. For make-up, I loved what Abby did for the trial. I had a couple of small things that I wanted to change for the wedding day and sent some pictures for Abby to reference. Abby is a true expert. She really listened to what I wanted, made suggestions on ways to enhance the look I was trying to achieve, and on the wedding day she totally nailed it. The make-up was a next-level, glowing version of what I'd imagined. Plus, my wedding was in June on a hot day, and even with the sun and some aggressive sweaty dancing, the make-up and hair looked flawless throughout the night. Thank you, Abby!

On top of being incredible at doing makeup, Abby has such a great personality, which is definitely necessary for any vendor you are planning on spending a lot of time with (and especially if you are considering Abby for your wedding or wedding-related events)! I first met Abby about a year ago, and she sent someone from her team to do my makeup for my engagement photos (I had already booked a different makeup artist for my wedding). Since then, we have kept in touch because Abby is genuinely so swee
