Abby Rae Photography is a studio in Portland, OR, that provides attentive coverage for weddings and events. Owner Abby has been working as a wedding photographer for over 10 years, and loves capturing the natural, authentic beauty of a couple's love story. With her use of natural light and focus on candid, unscripted moments, she will make sure your final album as a one-of-a-kind aesthetic. Abby became a hybrid photographer in 2019, incorporating traditional film wherever possible. With her team of fellow artists, she works to give each couple's big day the elegant, attentive coverage they deserve. While based in Portland, they are happy to work with clients throughout Oregon, California, and Seattle, WA. Abby Rae Photography is happy to begin with an engagement session to help you feel more comfortable and confident in front of the camera. A second photographer can be present on your big day to document your special moments from various angles. Your final, edited images will be sent to you as digital files, with other options including prints, proofs, and keepsake albums.

We were so happy we found Abby! She provided our engagement and wedding photos. She was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. She made us feel at ease with our engagement shoot and therefore we felt more comfortable at our wedding. She is very personable and assisted me a lot while I was getting ready. I never felt rushed or pushed to do anything out of my comfort zone and I really appreciate that.
She has an eye for great moments and details. She captured such amazing light during our engagement photos and knew the perfect outdoor spots for photos on the day of our wedding (it was super sunny!). We got married in downtown Portland and we feel like she captured us and the people and city we love in such a great way.
Our ceremony and reception was held in a dark venue indoors. I know this can be tricky for some photographers but not for Abby. She pulled it off and we are so pleased with the photos.
We are so thankful to Abby for everything she did for our special day and would recommend her to anyone!

My wife and I were both very specific about the aesthetic we had in our minds (thankfully my wife and I were on the exact same page -- though we both used very different language to articulate our ideas), and we came prepared with other photographer's portfolio examples to illustrate what we hoped to achieve (and we definitely did not like). This included examples from her local competitors, which she was not defensive about whatsoever. In fact, she encouraged us to send her more examples via email once our meeting was over to facilitate a continued refinement of what she was going to try to do for us.
She arrived ahead of schedule, and guided my beautiful and nervous bride and I through an efficient and varied use of the venue space as backdrops of our photos. She was patient, easy to work with, and felt like a pleasant, professional contributor to the wedding proceedings without being obtrusive or awkward in any way shape or form. Finally, she was very gracious in sending us our photos according to our agreed timeframe, and we couldn't be more pleased.

Hi! I am Abby, a Top Fine Art Wedding Photographer from Portland, Oregon, and this is my story. I have been shooting weddings for the past ten years. I have met the most extraordinary people and have learned so much about the art of photography, people, myself. I became a hybrid photographer in 2019 and began incorporating film, which I fell in love with. I love to capture the authenticity and beauty of people. I approach photography with a romantic, impressionist sensibility. Over the past decade, I have had the pleasure of documenting some of the most amazing celebrations.
