Ashley Brown Cake Designs was wonderful to work with! She made the perfect cake for us and it is beyond delicious! Very easy to work with and I would highly recommend contacting her any cake needs.

Ashley is so talented and so lovely and was just such a pleasure to work with. We got married last year, Nov 3, 2018, and I went to go write a review due to a new order and realized I never did an original review to praise her wonderful work!! In wedding planning the ONLY thing my husband cared about was the cake and we went to a few cake tastings and he was really disappointed by them. Ashley was our last one, and (hate to say it but hilariously) defeated he sadly decides if this tasting doesnt work out, we should just do a Publix wedding cake because everyone else tasted as good but was a lot more money. We go in, meet Ashley, who is as sweet as can be, and she has the most beautiful tasting set up for us, and Will (my now husband, then fiance), takes one bite and lights up with a big smile and he goes "this is it!". It was one of my sweetest memories from our whole wedding experience. Now nearly a year later, we are enjoying another delicious slice of Ashley's cake! I contacted her to do an anniversary tier for us and she actually is getting married this year, same weekend as our anniversary, and so even though she couldn't send the cake for our specific weekend, she so kindly did it for the weekend before and I was able to surprise Will! It just is such a testament to the passion and love she has for her craft and clients, because I can't even imagine how busy she must be getting ready for her own wedding and doing something for us, complimentary I should add, so close to it!! We wish we lived in Charleston bc if we did we would use her cakes for all special occasions!

Ashley is such an amazing artist!!! Our wedding cake was elegantly beautiful and our groom’s cake looked too perfect to eat at our rehearsal dinner! More than that, her cakes are DELICIOUS. She has some of the richest, freshest flavors that we ever sampled and her prices are very reasonable. Upon meeting Ashley during cake tastings, her flavors spoke for themselves, but we immediately hit it off. I knew that we were going to be in good hands with Ashley and we were so happy that she was a part of our special day.

We only wish we had extra cupcakes to bring home! Ashley's cakes are DELICIOUS - we had our tasting with her and must had tried every combination between 10 frostings/fillings and 8 cakes! It was so incredibly tough to decide on just one, so we decided to go with 3! Her options were very flexible so we went with a two-tier cake for the cutting (so we could take home the top tier as well) and then did 3 flavor combinations for cupcakes - vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream, red velvet with vanilla buttercream, and chocolate cake with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream. Unfortunately my husband and I only had the bite of cake from the cake cutting before we were whisked off somewhere!! But we both agree it was absolutely delicious - apparently our guests agreed because all of the cupcakes and cake (aside from our top tier) were eaten! She made a lovely gold geometric design for us that we saw from her instagram page, and executed it beautifully. We are so excited to eat the top tier (it probably will be eaten before our 1 year anniversary)! Only negative is that the communications with Ashley are kind of slow, so I would suggest texting her if you can get her phone number.

Ashley with ABCD Cakes was very good and did an amazing job on our cake. I was extremely happy with the taste of the cake and the way it all turned out just like I wanted. I showed her Pinterest photos and she was able to create something just like what I wanted! The only concern I had was that I couldn't get a hold of her a few different times. I emailed with questions twice and never got a response, and this was after I had already paid. My wedding planner had to contact her before she responded to me. Other than that, very happy and the cake was beautiful and delicious! She also did super cute cookies with our wedding colors and initials.

Our cake was amazing! It turned out looking exactly as Ashley had sketched out and tasted delicious. We had multiple compliments on it. Working with Ashley was a great experience overall — the tasting was super relaxed and fun and we tasted all kinds of cakes and fillings. There was so much we could customize we had trouble deciding!

Absolutely loved our cake! She did a great job with the design and the flavors. I also love that on your one year anniversary she will bake the top tier of your wedding cake so you do not have to freeze it.

We love Ashley and we love her delicious and beautiful cake! We tasted cakes with two different bakeries in Charleston, and there was no comparison with Ashley’s work. I’m not even a big sweets person, but I literally ate 5 pieces of cake on my wedding day because it was SO GOOD. We had three different flavor combinations for our three-tier cake and they were all equally amazing. Also, she did the most beautiful job decorating the cake with flowers from our florist. Do a tasting with her! You will be glad you did.

Ashley is amazingly talented and sweet as can be! From the beautiful macarons to the incredible Tommy Bahama-inspired groom's cake to our gorgeous wedding cake with florals, we were so blown away by how pretty and delicious everything was! We received so many comments from guests raving about the unique cake flavors. The cookie dough and the strawberry were crowd favorites! I can't recommend Ashley and ABCD Cakes enough!

If you are looking for a wedding cake or cupcakes, there is truly no need to look further. Ashley gave us the most amazing topper cake and cupcakes, which our wedding guests will talk about to this day! Planning a destination wedding made it hard to imagine how we would choose our cake, but Ashley made it easy with her guidance throughout the decision making process. She even set up the most thorough tasting ever when we visited Charleston in the months leading up to our big day. It was so hard to narrow it down to a few flavors, because EVERY SINGLE cupcake was THAT delicious. We didn't want the tasting to end! We knew after meeting her that we could never find a baker as talented, or as sweet! She is the kindest, most down to earth person, and makes you feel so at ease. Fast forward to our wedding day, and the finished product was somehow even more amazing than we could have imagined. First off, her presentation was beautiful! I can't even put it into words! Second, I have never been to a wedding where every slice of cake or cupcake was eaten, but every last one of ours was (aside from our topper which we'll enjoy on our 1 year anniversary). No joke, my mom even dropped her cupcake and picked it off the floor and ate it because she said there was no way she could let the best cupcake she had ever had go to waste. We absolutely loved working with Ashley, and will forever consider her a friend. We are just so lucky to have found her! xo

Ashley is the perfect combination of creative genius and outstanding baker! All of her cakes are absolutely beautiful (inside and out). She created a surprise groom's cake for my now husband and combined Ryan's two favorite things: cars and the Broncos. Ashley made a replica of Ryan's old racing car with a Broncos’ player popping out of the driver's seat window. Ryan did not want to cut the cake because the details were so amazing- even down to our wedding date and names on the license plates!! In addition, our wedding cake was incredibly gorgeous. Ashley hand painted flowers onto our cake and they were so beautiful. Our cake was stunning and a huge hit. Everyone complimented the delicious flavors and wanted to try every layer. I am fortunate to have worked many weddings and events on the weekends over the past few years. I have tried many wedding cakes, and Ashley’s cakes are by the far the most consistent and most beautiful. Ryan and I feel so fortunate that Ashley was able to make two delicious cakes for our wedding weekend!

Ashley was such a pleasure to work with and is amazingly talented! Her cakes are so delicious it was so hard for us to pick our favorite. She made sure to answer all our questions and our cake turned out exactly how we wanted. We were so thrilled and fortunate to have found ABCD and we highly recommend her!

ABCD did such an amazing job bringing my cake vision to life! It was the prettiest wedding cake I’ve ever seen and I have received countless compliments from guests who say the same. The details and artwork that went into our cake were to die for, but the flavors and taste were also top notch! I highly recommend the cookie dough filling! Everyone who ate it loved it!

This baker was great to work with while planning for our wedding. They provided the type of cake and design we wanted, and we were blown away with the results. The wedding cake looked and tasted amazing. I highly recommend this baker for any wedding in the Charleston area.

We can’t say enough good things about Ashley and her incredible work. I’m not even a cake person and I LOVED her cakes. They were gorgeous, exactly what we imagined, and very reasonably priced. We’ll definitely be ordering from her again!

We can't say enough about Ashley and her beautiful work. We worked with Ashley on a "charm cake" for the Bridal Luncheon the day before the wedding and the wedding cake. Both were delicious and beautiful! Ashley was responsive, professional, creative, accommodating on delivery and special requests and easy to work with. We can't thank her enough for going above and beyond to make wedding weekend beautiful.

Ashley was so sweet and when we were so very late to our tasting she made us a to go box with her top cake and icing flavors to try in the comfort of our own home! I did an additional tasting to narrow down flavors and pick the groom's cake out. She made the groom's cake for the rehearsal dinner, our wedding cake, and 5 other small cakes for our cake table. The groom's cake was delicious and cute! The wedding cake and small cakes for the cake table at the wedding were gorgeous, just like I imagined. The small bite I had a chance to taste on my wedding day was delicious and I can't wait for our 1 year anniversary to try the top layer she provided us with! All my guests raved about the additional flavors, some even saying they went back for 3rd slices! I would pick her again in a heartbeat.

Cake was one of the most important things to me! When we went to our tasting it was hard to choose because we loved them all, but we ended up choosing 4 different combinations for all 4 layers. Ashley listened to exactly what we wanted and I brought plenty of pictures. She was able to combine all of my ideas into one AMAZING cake! It truly was a beautiful sight to see on the day of the wedding. I cannot wait for our 1 year anniversary cake! : D

My partner, Jeremy and I were working with a budget and to be honest, a cake was not a top priority to us....until we met Ashley had our cake tasting. We were blown away when we sampled her cake offerings....and the icing / filling options were also incredible! She is so passionate about what she does and you can tell when you see and taste her work. We were honestly shocked when we got the pricing. Our plan was to have a small cutting cake, but when the proposal came back, we decided to have a cake large enough for everyone. We had 100 people at our wedding and the cake was BEAUTIFUL. So many of our guests came up to us days after the wedding to compliment the event and almost every one of them said something about the cake and how perfectly it suited our personalities and style...and how delicious it tasted. Ashley is a doll! We could not be happier with the cake that she created for us!

Pros: The cake tasted good. It was very affordable. Cons: Ashley is very busy and was always difficult to reach and to respond. I was told the cake would be delivered but on the day of my wedding my planners left to go and pick up my cake. The artwork on my cake melted down the cake so it literally looked like the cake was crying (I was). There still hasn't been any follow up from Ashley as to whether or not we enjoyed or were happy with the cake she made.

Let me start off by saying I'm counting down the days until our anniversary so I can have another taste of our DELICIOUS cake. We chose a combination of red velvet and marble with buttercream frosting and it was the best cake I've ever had. Not only delicious, our cake was also stunning AND reasonably priced. I think every anniversary will have to be celebrated with some cake from ABCD!

Ashley was so pleasant and the cake was delicious! I especially loved that she gave us a complimentary anniversary cake prepackaged for freezing. The cake looked amazing and was exactly what I had imagined!

We cannot express enough how truly amazing our cakes were! Even our guests at our rehearsal dinner and wedding were raving about how good our cakes were and also how amazing they looked! I myself was more for the look and my now husband was more for the taste and these cakes checked off both!!

Ashley's cakes are the best! We weren't sure what kind of cake we wanted and both of us weren't able to go to the tasting, so Ashley made me a tasting box to take back for my fiancé with all her different flavors of cake, icing, and filling. It was so hard to choose!! We finally ended up doing two different flavors for our tiered cake and then two sheet cakes each a different flavor. We wanted a simple cake with buttercream, no fondant, and something to show off our Star Wars cake topper and taste delicious. Ashley definitely delivered! The textured buttercream on the layers of the cake with fresh fruit around it was simple and elegant, and all of our guests talked about how amazing it tasted. All the different flavors were fantastic, and I'm glad there was enough left for us to have at least a little bit of each! If you are looking for incredible cakes at really fair prices, then go see Ashley!

Ashley did an amazing job on my cake! I absolutely loved how elegant and simple it was. It was also absolutely delicious. She will work with your budget and will MAKE you a new little cake for your anniversary! She is AWESOME!! I will definitely work with her again. She helped make my day stress free and wonderful!

Ashley is an ARTIST. Not only are her creations delicious, her skill in custom sculpted cakes is unreal. After taking a look at her work during our tasting, I knew I had to work with her for our Groom's Cake. My husband is an avid sneaker collector, so I wanted is his favorite pair of Jordans as his cake design. He was FLOORED by the level of detail Ashley included, it broke his heart to even cut it. Well done and thanks again ABCD!!!
