a major issue from the start — emails often went unanswered for weeks, and I rarely got full answers to my questions. Unlike other vendors, I wasn’t given a clear estimate for services (including travel fees) until the week of the wedding, which made budgeting difficult. Despite confirming key details months in advance, the vendor was asking last-minute questions and making changes a week before the wedding, adding unnecessary stress. I was also told my makeup would be waterproof, but the foundation streaked as soon as I started crying — which was disappointing. The artists themselves were great, but the lack of professionalism and poor communication throughout the process made this one of the more stressful parts of wedding planning.

nally scheduled my trial with them on my bridal shower to see how the hair and makeup would last throughout the day. Unfortunately, the morning of, I got a text saying they'd have to cancel my hair because the stylist called off. From there, I had asked if anyone would be available to do my hair especially because I had the bridal shower afterwards. Immediately when I walked in, the group was incredibly unfriendly and rude. The girl who did my hair struggled with a simple blowout look. While getting my makeup done, with someone who was surprisingly much friendlier, I was shocked so see how much drug store makeup she was using. The Maybelline Fit Me foundation turned my tone orange throughout the day. When my now husband met me at my shower, I hugged him and it looked like half of my face came off on his shirt. I called and asked to reschedule my trials to get things together and they didnt have any openings until the week of my wedding. When I came back in, everyone seemed to have a problem with me because I was lnt happy with how the makeup lasted after 4 hours. The MUA did a much better job with better makeup getting a closer match to my skin tone. The hair stylist on the other hand tried making me feel guilty for getting my trial a week before wedding day. I had to remind her that *she* was the one who originally called off on my appointment. She made comments about how she doesn't feel the bridesmaid hair should resemble the bridal hair by any means because she doesn't want anyone to outshine the bride. I absolutely love my girls and feel confident in myself where I am genuinely uncovered with how theyd want hair or makeup when they're the ones paying for the service. When I originally asked about services for a large bridal party months earlier, they said that they'd bring assistants to get through our large group. On wedding day, we were running behind on a group of 10 people with one hair stylist and one MUA. Because of how late things were running I ended up missing getting ready photos with my girls. After 2 hours of getting ready, all of my girls' curls were falling out. We had to spend extra time recurling everyone as their looks had dramatically changed while we getting ready. In between girls, the hair stylist was sitting on her phone ignoring girls who were ready for services. When we said something about their curls falling she had gotten nasty with us saying that it wasnt their fault. The hair stylist had even told some of the girls that she'd refused to a specific style because it was too similar to mine. The hair and MUA were both making comments about one of my girls who is autistic which was incredibly rude to hear while they were working on me. The billing is an absolute mess as they were demanding payment for a service before it was even completed and then charged a late fee when I didn't pay within a few hours. Im confused why we would pay thousands of dollars to a company who have already canceled on us last minute. We ended up having a flower girl have her hair and makeup done and in both cases they charged her as a bridesmaid for much much less work on hair and makeup compared to everyone. Take my wedding day as a cautionary tale and stay far away.

er responsive and professional. She clearly laid out expectations for timing and payment, which made the planning part smooth and stress-free. On the wedding day, the team arrived on time and got right to work. While they didn’t introduce themselves, things moved efficiently. I believe Lexi did the makeup, and she worked with confidence and made on-the-spot adjustments, which I appreciated. That said, I did run into a few issues. The mascara used wasn’t waterproof, and unfortunately, my mom’s makeup started running before we even left the house. It’s a wedding—it’s safe to assume people may cry, so that was disappointing. My own makeup cracked almost immediately at my smile lines. It was touched up, but I had to continue fixing it throughout the day. No one else had this issue, so maybe it was just a fluke, but still worth noting. The hair experience, unfortunately, was not great. I can’t recommend the hairstylist for updos. Despite us sharing what we wanted, she ended up doing a very similar style for everyone, regardless of request. Some styles had to be redone, and even then, we needed to fix them ourselves later. It felt like she came underprepared—I have long, thin hair and asked if she had a sponge to add volume, to which she replied that was something we would’ve figured out at a trial. While that’s partly fair, I also expect a professional stylist to come prepared for different hair types. Her kit seemed pretty minimal—just bobby pins, hairspray, a brush, and a curling iron—and there was no noticeable improvement from the first to the last style. When you're paying a premium price, you expect the service to reflect that. I initially appreciated that gratuity was included in the invoice, but in hindsight, I wouldn’t have tipped 20%. Also, during our communication, I was mistakenly sent someone else’s invoice, which had different pricing. That alone would make me advise future customers to double-check everything and consider negotiating. Overall, while there were a few positives—especially in the communication and the makeup for most—there were also some real disappointments that I think are worth mentioning for anyone considering booking with ABL Beauty Lounge.

inspo pictures so she could practice the look I wanted prior to me coming in. Not only was Tessa the sweetest person ever, she sat with me and ensured I loved every part of my hair before moving onto the next part, from curls to pinning it back. Tessa had zero problem trying different braids until I absolutely loved it. It was so important for me to do a trial prior to paying and booking (which most salons require it seems). This service was super affordable compared to everyone else. Tessa definitely made my wedding hair dreams come true!

I did a trial run with her and we decided to go with one look then but switched it up the day of bc of how hot it was. She thought of the perfect idea and I trusted her and my hair was just what I wanted. I highly recommend ABL. Lexi and her team will make you feel so beautiful!

we all felt and looked beautiful. Communication was always easy from booking - to day of. I couldn’t recommend them enough! Lexi was so quick and efficient and my makeup lasted all day long even with crying / heat/ dancing i didn’t have to touch up once ! Tessa was so meticulous and really took her time with us. even 3 days into my honeymoon! Make up stayed all night! hair- my bridesmaids & mother’s of the bride/groom were great! Nice little updo! I was getting worried we didn’t have time for my Hair, I even offered to start curling my own hair. she was kind, and re-assured me it would be okay, so I was super sad when I seen what it looked like, but it’s okay right, but then when I got outside I seen my hair was “teased to my scalp” with barley a curl. So I had to keep my veil on all night. 😏 that’s the only negative. I think we just ran out of time. But everyone else looked amazing!

id not have a bridal party - it was just me, my mom and MIL and we still had the best time getting ready. They both made sure everyone was happy with their hair and makeup and made us feel so beautiful for such a big day!
