Ablitt's Fine Cleaners

in October of 2022 I could not be more pleased. My wedding was outside, and like others who have held outside weddings, the hem of my dress and veil was full of dirt, straw, and grass by the end of the evening. Ablitts did an extraordinary cleaning job of both my veil and dress and helping me understand the decision in whether to just have it cleaned and placed on a hanger or cleaned and preserved in a box. When Margarita , Ablitt's speciality item manager, invited me to preview my dress before it was boxed up she took the time to explain the cleaning process and discussed the dust in the dress fibers not visible to the eye, that also was removed during their cleaning process. She also took the time to explain the preservation process, how it could still age over time, and how to handle the dress should I desire to unbox it. It was quite an interesting education for me and it was also fun to see the passion Margarita has for her job and her interest in ensuring that all of Ablitt's speciality cleaned items such as wedding dresses, are handled with great care by those with professional knowledge. She even explained how delicate fabrics such as those used in quality veils and dresses may break and have tiny holes after outside weddings as the particles in the ground will break down the delicate fabric and the glass crystals in veil edging dragged across the ground can also cause damage. So ladies, ensure you bustle up your dresses and take your veils off after outside wedding ceremonies if you want to help ensure the integrity of your gowns.

preserve it. I took it to Ablitt's and they did an amazing job! They spent three days picking out all of the hay my dress had accumulated throughout the day and night. It looked practically new. Thank you so much!
