ramatic looks. Her enthusiasm and professionalism made the whole experience so enjoyable.
My bridal party was equally impressed with her skills—everyone looked absolutely stunning! I can’t recommend Lauren highly enough.
The boutique is also the cutest place! They went above and beyond, squeezing me in for a last-minute mani and pedi. Isabel was amazing and made me feel so pampered. Truly a five-star experience from start to finish!
I always love going to About Face whether it's for facials, waxing, etc. Linda just recently did my wedding makeup and it was perfect, exactly what I was looking for. 10/10 recomme...

Lauren did an amazing job on my bridal makeup + my small wedding party. She was super responsive and really helpful with logistics, even with transportation to our island wedding. ...
We spent a lot of time at my trial figuring out the right colors for my skin tone, which I really appreciated. Everything turned out beautifully on the big day!
I can't say enough good things about my experience with Lauren at About Face! As someone who does not normally wear a lot of make-up, it was important to me that my make-up looked ...
"natural", but elevated from my normal look which is exactly what I got!
During my trial, Lauren asked questions about what I imagined/wanted, but also was ready to provide suggestions when I came up short for answers (I really don't know too much about make-up!) She also took lots of notes and was so kind, telling me about other weddings and suggestions for things on the day of. Later that day, I went to a cocktail party and got SO MANY compliments on my make-up, I knew that I had made the right choice in vendor.
On the day of our rehearsal dinner, I went into the salon for Lauren to do my make-up (which I highly recommend by the way!) and she was able to give me a slightly different look than what we had already planned for the wedding day. The make-up lasted a full afternoon and through a lobster bake on the lawn at our venue.
The morning of the wedding, enter HURRICANE LEE! Nerves are high, and the winds are even higher. Despite the weather and trees already coming down, Lauren was at our venue on time and ready to start make up on my 5 bridesmaids, the moms, and me. About half of the girls have their make-up done when the power goes out in the cabin we are getting ready in. A bit of unavoidable chaos ensues with my bridesmaids running around trying to gather everything we need to move into the generator-powered main building, and still stay on track with our "timeline" for the day.
Lauren calmly continued to do make-up on the person she was halfway through when the power went out, using the light from the window, and told us she didn't mind at all packing up and moving into the main building as well once she was done with this person to finish applying make-up for the rest of the girls.
With this unexpected weather hurtle, we were behind schedule and I was still getting my hair done when Lauren was ready for me to do my make-up. She patiently waited, not rushing me or my hair stylist along even though it was approaching the time she was scheduled to leave.
My make-up turned out amazing; it was exactly like what we are practiced during the trial, and held up during outdoor photos once the rain died down that afternoon, and all through the night as we danced the hurricane away!
I still drive to Lauren now for my beauty needs (1.5 hours away!), and honestly can't recommend her enough!! I feel so thankful that I found About Face, and that they were a part of my big day!
I absolutely loved my bridal make-up and can’t believe that it managed to last all day AND night during a HURRICANE. I had the fortune of getting married during hurricane lee and d...
espite taking pre-wedding photos outside in the rain, my gorgeous make-up remained flawless well into the night.
I love that About Face specializes in natural-looking make-up and uses many of the same products I use on a daily basis, free of harmful and harsh chemicals. My family and friends loved their make-up so much they were taking photos of and buying products on the spot.
Linda also took great notes during my trial and I was so pleased that my day-of make-up looked exactly the same (I’ve seen some less than stellar matches on some of my friends). She was also able to create a look that went perfectly with my less-than-traditional wedding dress.
My mom and I both had lash lifts done at About Face a week before the wedding as well, which I would definitely recommend if you prefer not to wear fake eyelashes. Not only did I avoid the annoying wedding tears with fake eyelashes and contact itching nonsense, but got to enjoy long, luscious lashes all throughout my honeymoon.
Linda at About Face was awesome! She did makeup for myself, 5 bridesmaids, and my mother on my wedding day. None of us are big makeup wearers, and Linda struck the perfect balance ...
of keeping it natural while totally elevating our look. Would definitely recommend!

e not liked the way I look. I came into my makeup trial with Lauren with some photos of what I liked and didn't like, and she immediately identified the best course of action for me. I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day, and the makeup looked the same as it did in the trial as it did at my wedding. She even provided some recommendations for skincare, which I'm still following to this day! She was calm, kind and punctual, and I highly recommend her to any brides!

vated with this process. She came to my house (the venue) and got through everyone efficiently without it feeling rushed! She was great at responding to personal preference and allergies and I was so happy to be able to do a trial with her a couple months before the wedding. As someone who is more into a natural look, it was great to understand how the makeup would look, get her suggestions, and adjust anything I wanted!
Lauren was great and my wedding day make up was perfect! Also very responsive and easy to work with.
Loved working with Lauren! Thank you for making the experience personal and seamless - our makeup looked quite natural which is what I wanted!

ike an elevated version of themselves and felt totally comfortable and beautiful in their make up. I am SO happy with the make up in all of the photographs! It also stayed in place for the entire evening. I looked exactly the same at 10pm as I did when she put it on in the afternoon.
Lauren from About Face did the make up for my bridal party on 09/25/21. She did an excellent job with all of us! It poured rain on my wedding day, but all of our make up was still ...
perfect at the end of the day. I would recommend Lauren for sure!

d up sending Lauren to our bridal suite. As two brides who don’t usually wear much makeup we were both concerned about making sure we maintained a “natural” look, and Lauren did so well with that!! I felt like the most beautiful version of myself possible, and my wife said she felt the same!! This was the best possible last minute addition to our big day. Lauren was on time, courteous, efficient but never rushing, and easy to talk too! I loved her work and felt comfortable working with her from as an LGBT bride 🌈. Thank you Lauren for making this day SO perfect!! We are so happy you were there for us!!

ike me on our wedding day. I just received my wedding pictures back from our photographer and I look like the most beautiful version of myself possible and it’s all because of Linda. I even got some advice from Linda on skincare and bought some other products while I was there. It’s a great little store! Lauren did my mom and Grandmom’s makeup and they were STUNNING! I highly recommend these two!

the staff at About Face were very responsive and kind during the process. My make-up looked extraordinary in my photos and didn't feel to "cakey" or "over-the-top". Lauren gave my mom and I a natural and timeless look that had me feeling like a princess on my wedding day. Thank you!

t my trial and executed everything perfectly. She was a fun, relaxing presence in the room as we got ready, and everyone was happy with how they looked. My mother, in particular, had been nervous that the stylist wouldn't be experienced with "old people," but she later raved about how she looked and how well everything stayed put.

ved my makeup, it was exactly what I was hoping for (and even more). My bridesmaids were extremely impressed, and one was even trying to see if they would consider coming to Vermont to do her wedding makeup ; ) I can't thank About Face enough!!!

xperience with all things cosmetic since I know nothing about it! On the day of my wedding Linda was early and full of excitement and positivity. She made myself, and my bridesmaids, look stunning!! I absolutely loved my makeup! She was also someone who I wanted to be around me during those anxious hours before the big moment. I highly recommend Linda and About Face for your wedding makeup and any cosmetic needs that you have. She comes to you, and makes you look and feel your very best!

ng on time and even went with the flow with a last minute bridesmaid makeup application I didn't realize was being added. She had us all beautified and ready to go right when she said she would and was so positive during a stressful morning. I will be recommending About Face to all of my friends getting married in the Boothbay Area. Thank you so much!
