About Face Skin Care Salon and Cosmetic Boutique is run by Linda, a licensed esthetician, and Lauren, a licensed electrologist, nail technician, and esthetician. Together, they have over two decades of experience in skincare, makeup, and beauty products. They use their combined expertise to help clients look and feel their best on their wedding day.
Linda and Lauren offer a consultation so you can get to know them before the big event and try out makeup styles. On the wedding day, they use high-quality products, such as false eyelash strips, and the latest techniques to achieve the look of your dreams.

During my trial, Lauren asked questions about what I imagined/wanted, but also was ready to provide suggestions when I came up short for answers (I really don't know too much about make-up!) She also took lots of notes and was so kind, telling me about other weddings and suggestions for things on the day of. Later that day, I went to a cocktail party and got SO MANY compliments on my make-up, I knew that I had made the right choice in vendor.
On the day of our rehearsal dinner, I went into the salon for Lauren to do my make-up (which I highly recommend by the way!) and she was able to give me a slightly different look than what we had already planned for the wedding day. The make-up lasted a full afternoon and through a lobster bake on the lawn at our venue.
The morning of the wedding, enter HURRICANE LEE! Nerves are high, and the winds are even higher. Despite the weather and trees already coming down, Lauren was at our venue on time and ready to start make up on my 5 bridesmaids, the moms, and me. About half of the girls have their make-up done when the power goes out in the cabin we are getting ready in. A bit of unavoidable chaos ensues with my bridesmaids running around trying to gather everything we need to move into the generator-powered main building, and still stay on track with our "timeline" for the day.
Lauren calmly continued to do make-up on the person she was halfway through when the power went out, using the light from the window, and told us she didn't mind at all packing up and moving into the main building as well once she was done with this person to finish applying make-up for the rest of the girls.
With this unexpected weather hurtle, we were behind schedule and I was still getting my hair done when Lauren was ready for me to do my make-up. She patiently waited, not rushing me or my hair stylist along even though it was approaching the time she was scheduled to leave.
My make-up turned out amazing; it was exactly like what we are practiced during the trial, and held up during outdoor photos once the rain died down that afternoon, and all through the night as we danced the hurricane away!
I still drive to Lauren now for my beauty needs (1.5 hours away!), and honestly can't recommend her enough!! I feel so thankful that I found About Face, and that they were a part of my big day!

espite taking pre-wedding photos outside in the rain, my gorgeous make-up remained flawless well into the night.
I love that About Face specializes in natural-looking make-up and uses many of the same products I use on a daily basis, free of harmful and harsh chemicals. My family and friends loved their make-up so much they were taking photos of and buying products on the spot.
Linda also took great notes during my trial and I was so pleased that my day-of make-up looked exactly the same (I’ve seen some less than stellar matches on some of my friends). She was also able to create a look that went perfectly with my less-than-traditional wedding dress.
My mom and I both had lash lifts done at About Face a week before the wedding as well, which I would definitely recommend if you prefer not to wear fake eyelashes. Not only did I avoid the annoying wedding tears with fake eyelashes and contact itching nonsense, but got to enjoy long, luscious lashes all throughout my honeymoon.

I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day, and the makeup looked the same as it did in the trial as it did at my wedding.
