About Time Photography

Elise from day one was amazing. We met with her before booking and she brought samples of her work and it was clear she was the one for us. She kept the photos natural and fun. I had friends immediately contact her to book for their own big day. Elise is on top of everything- taking down my maid of honors number to communicate with her on the big day, had family members names down, etc. She was an absolute PLEASURE to work with and I couldn't be happier with my photos.

My wife and I used Elise Dolan at About Time Photography for our wedding photography. My wife met Elise right at our venue at a bridal show. After meeting with Elise she knew that About Time Photography was the right choice for us. Elise and her second shooter, Jess, did an incredible job capturing the many memories of our wedding day. We intended to get married outside but Mother Nature had other plans. Elise and Jess were well prepared for this and were still able to capture great photos from inside the venue. We even were able to quickly get a series of photos outside that came out beautiful with the slight overcast. Elise put together our final album and we absolutely love it!

I was lucky enough to be gifted an engagement photo session with Elise by my sister. From the start, Elise was really easy to work with, she answered all of our questions thoroughly and promptly. She is very professional, kind, and it was quickly apparent that she cares a lot about her work and making sure she's a good fit for her perspective clients. It was clear that she really takes the time to listen. I, more so than my now-husband, had a lot of questions and general anxiety about the photo session. I am normally very uncomfortable in front of a camera but Elise really heard me and made me feel very comfortable during our first photo session together. We had originally hoped for wintery engagement photos, which would be tricky weather-wise for our area. Elise was great about the whole thing: she planned a back-up date in case the weather didn't play along, and contacted us each time there was a potentially good weather day. We also picked out our photo shoot location at a hilly park without going there first which could have been disastrous- Elise was so good about finding a ton of different spots which resulted in incredibly beautiful photos. I was really impressed by how she was able to set up little moments between my now-husband and I which led to genuine moments of love. It's not easy for me to be emotive in public, but Elise is able coax these moments of real emotions and then capture them on camera. We spoke with many photographers before booking the one for our wedding. We ultimately decided to book Elise, even before we had the engagement photo session. I was really looking for a photographer who was on the same page as me in regards to my photography goals, and one thing I was looking for was a photographer who could capture the little moments of love and happiness of the day instead of simply pictures that look posed. For us, booking Elise as our photographer was the one wedding element we splurged on. This wasn't really a gamble for us because my sister had booked Elise for several family photoshoots before which always resulted in adorable photos so we knew Elise was worth it. I have a few friends who "saved money" by hiring a low cost wedding photographer and they still talk about regretting that choice many years later. If you end up without wedding photos you love (or even like), or you have a lackluster or downright disappointing experience with your wedding photographer, is it worth saving a few hundred dollars? For my husband and I, this was an easy decision and we couldn't be more happy about how everything worked out! At all stages, working with Elise was a great experience. Leading up the wedding, she was thoughtful while checking in with us and also helpful in figuring out the wedding day timeline. The day-of, she was so kind and fun to have around, which really made my getting-ready time more enjoyable and less stressful. We had some last minute surprises to deal with (like having to find a new spot for the first reveal photos) but Elise was able to roll with the punches and keep everything running smoothly. I honestly can't recommend Elise highly enough. We had such a great experience both during the engagement photoshoot and on our wedding day. I'm positive that anyone who books Elise is making the right choice. Whether for your wedding or for family photos- you will definitely have an awesome experience working with Elise!

We'll start by saying that we give Elise the highest recommendation if you are looking for a photographer that you can feel confident in for such an important day! We used Elise for both our engagement photos and our wedding day in Boston. Elise was willing to travel to Martha's Vineyard to capture all of the elements we were looking for in our engagement photos without any hesitation. We then used Elise for our Fall wedding in downtown Boston with pictures in the Boston Public Garden that came out amazing. Elise was in constant communication with us throughout the process, always professional and thorough in preparation for the wedding to achieve an end result that we were looking for. This includes multiple meetings leading up to it to go over the package that would fit the best and a walkthrough of the public garden that we would be taking our photos in. On the day of the wedding, we had a couple of unforeseen incidents with the venue that changed the schedule and timeline of the day but Elise was able to quickly adapt on the fly and keep us feeling calm. Vow books, parent albums, an amazing album for ourselves, and a very thoughtful gift were great personal touches along the way that we don't feel like we would have experienced with another photographer. We also appreciated how user-friendly the website is for setting album preferences and suggest edits for album drafts, making payments and ordering prints. If you are looking for a wedding photography solution that you know you can count on to care not only about your wedding day and the pictures but also for you as a couple then we give Elise our highest recommendation
