We hired Above and Beyond Catering for our wedding reception and Roxanne and her staff did an amazing job! Roxanne was so easy to work with and she helped create the perfect menu ...
for our appetizers and dinner. Her and her staff set up effortlessly and the evening went so smoothly. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how wonderful the food was. I would highly recommend Above and Beyond Catering!
We used Above and Beyond for our wedding catering, and it was some of the best wedding food we've had, hands down. The chicken spedini is to die for, and all the sides and fresh an...
d taste homemade! Communication was easy, and they even let us come in for a second tasting when we weren't 100% sure what we wanted for our menu. They let you customize the menu a bit too, which was ideal for someone with a few food allergies. Great experience with them!
Above and Beyond Catering was great to work with! Their pricing is very reasonable and they put out high quality food with plenty of options to choose from. All of our guests were ...
so complimentary of the dinner, which was validating considering we were really pleased with our tasting menu experience almost a year before the wedding. The team at above and beyond are awesome and really think about all the details. We also rented linens through them which was so convenient so we didn’t need to get them ourselves or hire another vendor.
We worked with Travis and Roxanne to coordinate catering our Handfasting this last Monday. We appreciated the fact that they offered a tasting before booking with them. It's under...
standably a risk but it really paid off as it cemented our decision to work with them after seeing their presentation and tasting their delicious food! They have a HUGE variety of tableclothes and display items as well- and they take care of decorating their catering table which was stress off my back. At times, it did take them a few days to respond to emails, but Travis who runs their FB page is SO quick to respond on messenger, which I tried not to abuse! They are a lot more responsive the month or two before the event, which is super understandable as I know they have a full plate the rest of the year! Above and Beyond is one of Powell Gardens suggested caterers, and honestly it was SO nice to have a caterer who already knew the ins and outs of our venue and knew our venue team. I would be remiss if I wrote all this and didn't hype up the food. I got SO MANY compliments on both the main courses and the appetizers. Luckily Travis saved us a couple of the apps or I'm sure they would've been gone by the time we arrived at the reception! The sunflower salad was one of the best salads I've had- and I would hold someone hostage for that dressing! We got the rosemary chicken and peach bourbon pork for main dishes- and they were a hit! Travis boxed up all the leftovers for us and you know what? They still taste delicious on day 7 of eating them haha! Thank you SO much Travis and Roxanne for making our handfasting delicious and playing a part in such a magical day.
Roxanne and her team at Above & Beyond truly deserve the name. My husband and I hired them for our wedding and we couldn’t be happier. They were our first and only tasting, not jus...
t because they were both delicious and affordable, but because Roxanne was so joyful in helping us create the most special day possible. She was so kind, helpful and accommodating throughout the entire planning process, and on the big day everything went off without a hitch. The food was amazing and her team was so sweet and friendly. I am honored to have them a part of our wedding. Please consider them for your next event!
Above and beyond was definitely the hit of the night! We are still hearing about how wonderful the food was. Ann was amazing to work with. She didn’t make me feel crazy for emailin...
g constantly over the smallest things. She took the time to make sure the wedding party had snacks during photo hour and that me and my husband were fed first! She went truly above and beyond for us! She even went as far as putting my veil in for me when we couldn’t figure out how. I can’t say enough amazing things about her and this company! Do yourself a favor and book these guys! You won’t be disappointed.
We chose Above and Beyond not just because they were a preferred catering at The Grand Hall but we knew they did such a great job for my brother-in-law's wedding three-years-ago. ...
Kayla really went the extra mile for us and I can’t tell you how much that meant to making our wedding day be absolutely perfect. We appreciated Above and Beyond being flexible with our budget and prompt with any correspondence. They even accommodated us for multiple tastings, so we could perfect the menu. For our menu, the chef even made a special sauce at our request! Kayla worked with the timeline of our reception, especially when we started the cocktail hour earlier than planned. She attend our final meeting at our reception venue, which was so kind of her to do. At the wedding, the buffet looked amazing, the food was incredible and still being talked about by our guests. Guests also complimented us about the great service they received during dinner. Kayla was there with us all along the way to make sure we felt completely carefree about how it was all going to happen. Additionally, Above and Beyond cut our cake and kept up with serving it to our guests when there was a huge demand.
Most importantly, Kayla and the Above and Beyond staff paid close attention to the details for our table setting. They made our multiple dinner rentals look wonderful! Overall, Kayla and the Above and Beyond team were truly amazing throughout the entire wedding planning process. Please don't hesitate to book them for your next event!
We loved our experience with Above and Beyond!! Kayla truly went above and beyond and surpassed our expectations! She is a Can Do person! Any extra we asked for she came through an...
d provided. We had a terrible experience with our party rental (AAA party rental, absolutely terrible) and when they fell through on their part Above and Beyond was there to pick up the slack with no complaints!!! We looooooved them! Not to mention the food was a hit! And the service was very professional!
Roxanne and the team at Above and Beyond Catering did a fantastic job catering our wedding! Roxanne had not worked in our venue before and took the time to come to the venue before...
hand to meet the owner and get the lay of the land. The buffet table Roxanne put together was amazing and the food was even better! We received so many compliments on the pasta bar we had and enjoyed the left overs for a few days before heading on our honeymoon. Thank you so much, Roxanne!
Easy to work with, affordable and great communication. Helped set up and tear down everything day of the event, even our decorations. Lots of different food options, we really enj...
oyed the tasting. We went with a pasta bar - the portabella mushroom ravioli with brandied cream sauce was to die for! Big hit with all the guests. They also cut up and plated all the desserts. Really went above and beyond to ensure our wedding reception was a success!
Roxanne, you and your team CRUSHED IT. The food that Above & Beyond prepared and served at our reception was delicious, plentiful, and served so beautifully and expediently (partic...
ularly given the large crowd and unique venue setup!). I can't thank you enough for your help in providing a delicious meal and setting to our friends and family. Your staff were so pleasant and helpful, even when they had been on their feet for hours and hours and transporting all of the material in from outside in the cold! What incredible food served by an incredible crew! Thank you from Mr. & Mrs. Morris!
This was the best thing about our reception. Food was literally to die for!!! EVERYTHING we wanted and it all tasted amazing!!! I wish I could have our wedding food on our annive...
rsary every year. Just amazing!! Only thing was, we paid for coffee to be served, but we don’t believe it was. One of the grandmas asked for it and was told they didn’t have any. That was the only down fall. We requested it because we knew she would ask for it. Overall though, still amazing!
My husband and I cannot say great enough things about this catering company. The food was phenomenal. We got so many compliments from our guests about how amazing the food tasted. ...
Chase was absolutely wonderful! He did a great job not only setting up the food display but also the tables and centerpieces. I was extremely pleased with him and the rest of the staff!
For me finding a cater was terrifying because I have celiac disease so I am extremely allergic to gluten and wheat and my wedding day was not a day to mess around with possibly get...
ting a reaction. Above and beyond was amazing for me! They put together a gluten free menu for me and made sure there wasn't any cross contamination. The food was delicious and our guests loved it! Most importantly though I was able to eat without having to worry! Our food and cake (cake done by someone else) were Celiac disease safe and allowed us to have a gluten free wedding!
Great food, many good options and price points, and the presentation was really beautiful! Maybe on the pricey side, but they were very helpful and attentive to us.
Their name says it all...Roxanne and staff go above and beyond in communcation, planning, staffing and best of all, the food is creative and tastes great!
Their food was ok (not as good as the tasting). Also, they need to work on their professionalism and client communication. I had trouble from the beginning getting anyone to do any...
thing including an estimate to leaving a deposit to asking questions (and when I did reach them I received lame excuses from "we've had busy events for the past month" to "oh his phone is not working to respond to you"). I must have spoke to everyone in that catering company because my point people were useless. Over priced for mediocre food, I recommend going elsewhere that appreciates your business.
I can not say enough good things about Above and Beyond Catering, but I will say that their name is spot on accurate.
We decided to keep it simple for our meal, and we only of...
fered one choice for the main dish: Rosemary Chicken. Then we offered the garlic mashed potatoes and fresh green beans for our side, plus a salad and roll. It was as fabulous the day of, as it was when we did our tasting. Not only did my groom and I think so, but I received so many rave reviews from our guests I lost track, including both sets of parents. The chicken and mashed potatoes stole the show for most people, but even the salad was above and beyond amazing with fresh colorful vegetables and greens far better than your average iceburg salad.
On top of amazing food, their presentation of it all was beautiful and added to our venue decor in such a complimentary way.
It was their incredible service that really stood out to me though. They made a point of checking in with me to make sure I was happy with everything a couple of different times, but were never obtrusive. And they were on top of every detail. You can tell the entire staff truly enjoy what they do, and love doing weddings. The food preparation is an act of love, the servers are all happy and so accommodating. I truly can not say enough.
To top all of this off, they are very reasonable in comparison to many other caterers, and we shopped around and did our homework on this one, because we knew it was going to be one of our larger expenses.
I highly, highly recommend Above and Beyond catering. You will be impressed in every category, and your guests will be too.
After searching high & low for a catering service that would take on my wedding where we were expecting less than 100 guests, Above and Beyond (Tina & Chase) came to my rescue! We...
had already planned that we wanted to have finger-type foods that guests could walk around and talk and eat without having a formal meal (formality is not our style). Tina came up with an AMAZING menu – everything on there was something I would typically order at a restaurant. Chase was an AMAZING coordinator – he was understanding that we had no clue what we were doing, but never led on that we were idiots that didn’t do a very good job doing our homework! When the big day came, they showed up & got straight to work & everything just happened (like magic)! I never once thought about or worried about anything going on all night. As an added bonus, they packed up to-go meals for me and my new husband to take with us back to our hotel room to eat before we passed out from the long day. The rest of the leftovers my parents took back to my house were just as amazing the next day before taking mid-day naps.
We had tons of compliments of their food! It was amazing!
Our wedding food was delicious!! The team worked hard to deliver the menu exactly as we asked! We had many celiacs in the wedding party and our guest, including my mother. They wer...
e able to cater to their needs that evening. It meant so much that my mom had more than cheese and fruit to eat on our special night. My only complaint with this vendor is communication. They are suuuuper busy, so pinning them down for a conversation can be difficult.
They told us upfront that there food was not the cheapest, but it was the best. Agree on both counts. This was one area where we definitely overspent, but I didn't want the same ...
food everybody else has at weddings. We did apps instead of dinner and the general vibe from guests was that it was good. (Guess nobody's going to tell you if it isn't!) Specifically, people mentioned the tartlets, strawberry bruschetta, and bbq meatballs. They weren't always my favorite to work with, sometimes taking too long to respond to emails etc., and they were particular about every little price. Many people throw in cake-cutting for free and they wanted to charge $4/person just to cut it. We had to negotiate cutting it by supplying our own plates/napkins for it which was a little ridiculous. Also something to beware of: when they pack up food, they take the coffee/tea/water with them - which I didn't think about until those necessary drinks left 2 hours before the reception was over!
Tina is amazing! My husband and I went for a tasting and she had everything on our list, PLUS an appetizer she made up right before we got there. She is creative & talented and...
the food is to die for. I only wish I had had more time to chow down at the reception!
Tina and her team at Above and Beyond did such an amazing job for my husband and I's wedding and reception last Saturday at Cellar 222. Tina wasn't just the caterer. She really hel...
ped coordinate all of the details. This was so helpful since I live in Orlando and was doing all of the planning long distance. The food and decorations exceeded my expectations. My guests are still talking about how good the food was. They are a MUST hire for any event! Incredible Job!! Thanks Above and Beyond. It was magical perfection. - Alicia & John
I talked with them at a bridal show. It seemed reasonably priced and was a go. Later they then told us they were going to charge $200 for having to drive 30min. south of KC. We ...

anne was eager to help come up with ideas and was extremely knowledgeable about the workings of a reception. We received so many compliments about the food. We also used their bartenders for our bar and they were outstanding at keeping drinks filled. This vendor came as a recommendation from a past bride and I would recommend them to anyone.
Above & Beyond Catering was exactly THAT! They did an outstanding job with several last minute services we needed to be added. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. Woul...
