Sophie and her team showed up bright and early and took control of our family property venue and turned it into our dream. Every folded napkin, spaced chair, piece of décor, heavy tables/bars, and setup had professional thought and planning written all over it – we couldn’t believe how great of a job she did turning our vision into a reality. Where Sophie truly separates herself from the competition is the thought she puts into the couple and making their day perfect. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention something my wife and I reminisce on months later - In the joyous aftermath of being announced as a married couple for the first time, Sophie had a private high top table setup for us with our favorite cocktails, hours d’oeuvres, and marriage license (including pen). It’s the little things like that which make Sophie and her team so great at what they do – they nail the big stuff and are lights out on all the things you could have never thought of. My wife and I cannot recommend Above and Beyond Events enough and we feel indebted to Sophie for the work she did for us and the way she made our vision come to life.

where I even had multiple guests ask me who she was and complimenting how hard she was working. Case in point: Sophie arrived around 9:30am on the day of our wedding to help with set-up, and before we knew it, she was outside -- in the rain, and totally alone -- setting up tables before anybody even noticed. Throughout the entire morning and afternoon leading up to guests arriving, Sophie was an incredible help, and we constantly leaned on her for her expertise on how to best organize things and get things done. She had so many brilliant tips, but one I especially wanted to call out was how she salvaged our flower arrangements. We had a pretty DIY wedding, and all of our florals were purchased in bulk and then organized into small arrangements for the tables. Unfortunately, the weather the morning of the wedding was pretty nasty, and the wind was too strong for our little mason jars of flowers. Sophie suggested we collect rocks from around the yard to put into the bottom of the jars for extra weight; it proved not only to be an amazing solution that kept all of our vases on the table during the event, but it looked really cool, too, and I got several compliments about how unique our floral arrangements were with the black rock at the bottom. Thank you, Sophie! During the event itself, there were several times where I had planned to ask Sophie if she could do something for us, only to head over to her spot to find that she had already done it without being asked. It was pretty incredible, and I truly have no idea how we would have managed the crazy day and the many obstacles without her help and guidance. I remember when we were selecting a day-of coordinator, we figured we'd go with the absolute cheapest option since our reception was just at my parents' yard and we didn't need any wedding planning help. I met with probably 7 or 8 different options, but immediately after talking with Sophie, I told my wife I didn't care how much she cost, I really thought we should go with her because of how prepared, organized, and enthusiastic she was. She ended up somehow being a thousand times better than even my highest expectations. If you're planning a wedding in the Spokane area, you can not do better than working with Sophie, and I truly hope that everyone who reads it decides to make their wedding a billion times less stressful by having her on your team. She's simply the best.

From visiting the audio rental store a few days before the event to learn about the technology, to calling our DJ what seemed like 57,000 times before getting a response; Sophie was an amazing worker and a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We could not believe how easy Sophie made things at every turn. Sophie did not stop working for our ENTIRE event, solving problems, being proactive, and just being so positive and uplifting to everyone in every moment. Sophie did EVERYTHING from setting up tables, decorations, helping with questions, helping the groomsmen with final looks, helping with the DJ, caterer, photographer, videographer, event venue owners, EVERYTHING. Even CLEANUP!!!! She was so sweet, understanding, and caring too. They helped with seating, some family issues, and when it started raining before the ceremony she calmed us and quickly moved the seating to the covered area. She helped answer our questions. She eased our anxieties. Above and Beyond Events was the best purchase of our entire wedding. Again, if you are debating getting a coordinator, get one! And get this coordinator, you will NOT regret.
