Absolute Beauty by Wendy

wanted for a while. Wendy was always willing to try new ideas I would have in our trials even when I changed my mind which I was very appreciative of. On the day of our wedding, Wendy brought two amazing assistants with her to do hair and makeup for 12 women, with myself included. They were absolutely wonderful and everyone in my party was very happy with how everything turned out. We went with natural makeup which turned out beautifully on everyone. Wendy, Connie, and Marlene also completed all of our looks well ahead of our timeline, which we greatly appreciated as it gave us more time for pictures and getting ready. I highly recommend working with Wendy and her team and could not have anything better to say about her!

During the trial, she taught me so much about my skin tone and what works best for me, since I don’t usually wear much makeup. They made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day, and my hair and makeup lasted flawlessly all the way until 3 AM at our after party—not a single touch-up needed! Leading up to the wedding, Wendy was also so accommodating with follow-up trials when I wanted to try different hairstyles, which made me feel completely confident going into the big day. The team arrived right on time the morning of the wedding and worked efficiently to get all 11 of us ready—bridesmaids, moms, and me—with time to spare for touch-ups before photos. They were friendly, professional, and kept the morning stress-free and fun. I can’t recommend Absolute Beauty by Wendy enough for your wedding or any special occasion. They are truly the best!

Surprisingly there are not many people in the DMV that do Ouidad but I came across Wendy's page and saw she was certified so I had to book! The trial went amazing, and she has a full studio at her house where the services were done. On my wedding day I received so many compliments on my hair. My curls withstood an entire day and night in July heat; she really knows how to do wedding services that will look great and last all day. I also usually don't wear a lot of makeup, and she was very willing to work with my comfort level on wanting to stay fairly minimal. My hair looked so amazing on my wedding day, the very next day I made sure to book her again for another service I needed in the fall. I definitely recommend booking with her, especially if you have curly hair! I will be a reoccurring customer.

She also brought a calm, thoughtful presence to the morning. My sister, mom, and mother-in-law also got their hair and makeup done, and everyone looked great throughout the whole day/evening. Because of Absolute Beauty by Wendy, I looked and felt amazing on my wedding day. I wholeheartedly recommend this company!

eone available on relatively short notice. As someone who prefers a more natural look, I also had a hard time finding a make-up artist that worked for me. Given all that, Wendy was a god send! Both my hair and make-up trial went great (she understood exactly what I wanted, and absolutely delivered!). She was also amazing day of, she arrived right on time and was able to get through hair and make-up for me plus hair for 4 other members of the bridal party early! Everyone's hair and my make-up lasted all day, through photos, running around, an outdoor ceremony, and dancing. I highly recommend Absolute Beauty by Wendy for bridal hair and make-up!

nd offer solutions to make sure the styles were exactly what I wanted for the big day. They traveled all the way to Madison, VA early in the morning and still made it to the location before our scheduled start time. They were both very patient with my mom and bridesmaids as they requested any modifications and they even made time to add a couple of unplanned hair and makeup services for more of my family members at the end. Their bilingualism in Spanish and English was a huge benefit to communicate more effectively with Spanish speakers in my family! Would recommend them both!

at least an hour or more out of D.C. and the cost of mileage for the hair and makeup artist was something I had to take into account for convenience and budget. I had Wendy for both my hair and makeup trial, which I used for my engagement photoshoot, and then used her team for the day of my wedding. Her packages were very straight forward and easy for me to figure out which services I wanted for myself and my wedding party. On the day of the trial, she was patient in listening to what type of makeup and hair I wanted. The engagement photos were classy and stunning, thanks to Wendy's work. On the day of the wedding, Wendy and her team worked hard to prep me, my mom and five other bridesmaids. Wendy did an excellent job with Asian-style hair, which everyone's hair kept up through the evening on a hot summer DC day. Her makeup artist did an excellent job taking our requests into account, and we all looked flawless. I am truly appreciative of Wendy and her team as I was a nervous about how we would all look. She takes feedback seriously and seeks to improve what you're looking for! Her prices are very fair, especially for the quality she puts into making me feel beautiful for both the trial and day of the wedding. Any bride is in good hands with Wendy. I would not look any further if you are having your wedding or engagement photo shoot in D.C. or at least the 10 mile radius outside of D.C.

I also saw her a few times for eyebrows in the lead up to the wedding; she gave me some great skincare advice and was able to recommend products that noticeably helped my skin. They also worked with my mom who never wears makeup, to make sure she was comfortable as well. Which was really important to me. They treated us as individuals and not just faces to be painted. They were very professional and on time on the wedding day. They were finished before we needed to be but we never felt rushed. They were wonderful with my whole bridal party and helped everyone enhance their natural beauty. The price point is accurate for the amount of time and energy they spend on each client. Wendy was very responsive and very organized with the planning process. I highly recommend her and her team!! You won’t regret it.

Before booking makeup and hair artists, I was very nervous about the whole process, but my trial with Jackie and Jinay eased my nerves. I had a chance to explain what I liked and didn’t like, and they perfected the vision for what I wanted on my wedding day. wanted for our DC wedding. The women are already gorgeous, but the makeup was beautiful yet not overkill - which is exactly what we wanted. I loved the natural look of their fake lashes too - all of them looked really nice on. The hair was modern, but different for all the women - all updos were absolutely gorgeous, too!!!! We cannot recommend Absolute Beauty by Wendy enough!!! Total perfection, and conversational, professional women who went out of their way to make our bridal party feel comfortable about their looks. And they all looked stunning! Hair and makeup all held up in 98 degree temps on our July 15 wedding, so that's how you know they did an awesome job!

Everyone looked AMAZING and we were all so happy with our hair and make-up. She did such a great job with many different hair types (including a few girls with VERY curly hair) and was wonderful with our 5 year old flower girl as well! I can't recommend her enough!!
