Absolute Best DJ Service

This was the highlight of our reception. Jason was fantastic and kept the party going all night long. I highly recommend using his planning platform and adding songs to your wedding playlist. He nailed it! Every so often, I’d get a chance to step back and listen - without fail the song I had requested was playing. I didn’t have to think twice about the music or the announcements. Jason had it taken care of - even putting together an impromptu karaoke moment for the groom. Absolute Best is the best 10/10. If in doubt, add the uplighting for a magical night. You won’t regret it.

Completely lives up to the name. I could not have asked for a better DJ for my wedding. He was very helpful in the process of planning the wedding and did an excellent job with the announcements and music. I would recommend Absolute Best DJ Service to anyone planning a wedding or other event. Prices were reasonable and a great value for the service provided and the help he gave me in planning the reception.

Jason was fantastic! From the planning process to setup to the actual DJing, everything was straightforward and exactly what we wanted. Jason did a wonderful job keeping the party going - we had several guests spanning multiple age ranges comment on how much they liked the music and dancing!

Jason was the perfect DJ for our wedding! We really liked that he had a website where we could select songs to add to the different playlist, and we could even connect to our spotify account to make it super easy. Jason had to set up equipment in 3 locations (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) and did so with no issues. Mics worked the whole time, and no hiccups with any equipment. The up-lights included in the package that were placed in the reception area really added to the ambiance. For the dancing part of the evening, Jason made sure to stick to the music we picked (as that's really what we wanted) and played additional music that was in line with what we liked. Definitely would recommend Jason to others!

We could not be more happy with Jason from Absolute Best DJs! We had a situation about 1.5 months before our wedding - we were going to use a personal friend to Dj our wedding and that ended up falling through - then we found out about Absolute Best through Facebook! It could not have worked out more perfectly!! Jason was awesome and did such a great job during our ceremony and reception. He knew exactly what he was doing and played great songs. Our guests had a great time dancing and the lighting looked great! He was very accommodating and was extremely prompt with responding to any questions I had, which put me at ease with what could have been a very stressful situation! He really did such an amazing job and our wedding had amazing music! 100% recommend!!!

Absolute Best did a wonderful job at our wedding! They were extremely professional and communicative and were able to accommodate a few last minute changes we had. Their planning tools make it extremely easy to pick your music for your event. Even had outdoor self-powered speakers for our beach wedding! Go with Absolute Best, Jason is amazing!!!

Jason was THE best! We met with him about 9 months before the wedding to talk about our vision and get an idea of how the flow would go. He had us complete and online music request form and a couple other music selections (reception entrance songs, cocktail hour music, do not play, etc). He kept the party going all night long! The lighting package is well worth the extra money because it gave our wedding just that extra touch of elegance during the formal events, but then made the room light up with fun during the dancing portion of the night. Because of Jason, our guests are still raving about how much fun they had and how they never wanted to leave the dance floor! We highly recommend him and the Absolute Best crew to anyone needing a dj!

Wow wow wow wow!!! Probably the best DJ experience we have ever had. Jason was absolutely amazing! He was so professional, easy to work with and made the whole event worry free. His music selections were on par and his skills as a DJ were top notch! I will never want to work with a different DJ again other than Jason from Absolute Best DJ Service!!

We used Absolute Best for our wedding reception and we were very happy with their service! They made it incredibly easy to plan for our reception with their online portal, so we were able to request specific songs for our cocktail hour, dinner and dance. More importantly, we were able to create a ‘Do Not Playlist’ for songs we wanted to avoid. We had Joel for our DJ, and overall we were impressed with the song selection for cocktail hour, dinner and dance. Joel also made it a point to call ahead of time and walk through everything, introduce himself when we arrived to cocktail hour, and kept looking for any cues from us. Overall, we were really happy with the reception music they were able to provide!

We sent in an original timeline but one wedding day things changed a bit. We originally submitted a timeline plan for the ceremony and reception. Of course, day of this changed a bit and he was very flexible with shuffling songs for the events earlier or later and played the songs right on que we picked for specific times. I would highly recommend!

Jason was super helpful, willing to work with you to make sure the details are right, and most importantly he kept the party going. He was definitely an integral part of our wedding night and glad we went with Absolute Best DJ Service!

Highly recommend Jason/Absolute Best DJ Service. Planned a destination wedding for my daughter at the beach not knowing who to contract for services. Was not disappointed with Jason's services! His client portal through his website is very helpful/useful.

Yoel was our DJ for our wedding and she was AWESOME!!! so professional and easy going. We also had a some what complicated wedding playlist. My husband is Greek and I am half Puerto Rican, so our mothers requested Greek and Puerto Rican music along with songs we wanted. Yoel handled it so smoothly and the music was a hit! I highly recommend using their services. Justin, is also great to work with. At the last minute I didn't have a DJ and Justin swooped into the rescue! I can't thank these guys enough!

The planning part was great. Great customer service and website. The event was not great. Technical difficulties made our exit song play after we were already out and our guests couldn't hear the announcements during the reception. Wasn't impressed for the price.

Working with Jason was easy and seamless. He was accommodating, responded to questions in a timely manner, and a genuine and friendly guy in person. Everyone talked about the music afterwards and how much fun the wedding was. Everyone was up and dancing, even with the wide variety we had requested. You could tell he knew what he was doing and is truly good at what he does. Thanks Jason!

Perfect DJ choice! These people are so amazing and really made the wedding a lot of fun. I planned a destination wedding so I couldn't meet with a lot of my vendors, but Absolute Best DJ made sure to communicate with me and answered all my questions throughout the planning process. All the music choices were spot on and our DJ even stayed later than planned, so we could party the night away.

I had a great experience with Jason from Absolute Best. Not only did I get a great deal, but I was so satisfied with the service. It was very convenient with the online login so I could make my playlists. Every time I emailed with questions, he responded right away and was extremely helpful. He was very entertaining for my guests, took requests, an was very pleasant overall. He also played all the songs I wanted even though they weren't the most traditional wedding picks. I would highly recommend Absolute Best!

I waited to review this vendor because I was not looking forward to writing this review. My mother, who paid for this DJ's services wrote a negative review and received a very negative letter from the owner, so in a sense, I have been putting this off for too long. From the day my fiance and I met DJ Ben, we were not crazy about some of his ideas. My fiance and I are older and since the advent of satellite radio and stations like Pandora, we do not listen to the radio and we do not have children and we have not seen the inside of a club in years. That being said, DJ Ben suggested we add several songs that were popular, but that my fiance and I had never heard of, despite the fact they were "Top 20 Hits." He played one of these songs for me and it was not something I wanted to hear, let alone wanted my 87 year old grandmother to hear. We also made it clear that we did not want country or several songs that we have heard overplayed at weddings, to which, i believe it was at this point that we were all no longer on the same page. After our first meeting, I left with the feeling that he was going to play what he thought our guests would like despite the fact my fiance and I did not want these so called top 20 songs played. From the beginning, we felt he kind of had a bad attitude toward us because we did not agree with several of his suggestions. I left very uncomfortable and should have moved on after this meeting; however, after speaking to several people, they assured me it was our wedding and the DJ would play our list. My fiance attempted to contact the DJ a couple of times, even having to email the owner at one point in order to get a response. We still stuck with them, even though the discomfort was growing. After asking our guests to pick the songs they wanted to hear, we sent the DJ a list of please play and please do not play. When the youngest guest at your wedding is in their mid-thirties, we did not feel comfortable playing "booty" music. Most of our guests were older and preferred specific songs from their time, so we obliged. It all went downhill from when we submitted the list. Apparently, we (and our guests) picked obscure songs such as "September" and Al Green, etc. I will give him that he came in, did the bare minimum and left as fast as possible, but not before getting a few jabs in. For example, during the garter toss, we had one hip-hop song, and he announced "And here is the first and last hip-hop song of the night." Very sarcastic. The whole reception was very rushed, per our guests as well. There was also a point where he threatened to stop playing unless he was paid more right then and there, at our wedding, where no one had a wallet, let alone check to be made in his name and sent to his personal address. So, we met this company at the venue. This is our first marriage. When we hired them, we paid extra for them to do the ceremony as well as the reception. We had no idea how the venue conducted the ceremony and reception, however, one would think that a company recommended by the venue and who we MET at the venue would know and advise the bride and groom. Instead, we, thinking we paid for both the ceremony and reception, were hit at 8:30 for more money for him to stay until 10, which is what we booked him for! Apparently, us paying extra for the ceremony just covered him miking and playing a couple of songs, not the time too. We had the space until 10:30, and would have paid, but DJ Ben was gone by 10 til 10.

It was very easy working with Jason at Absolute Best DJ Service. The online program that he uses to plan your wedding is very user friendly and enables you to pick what you want to hear at your wedding or event. My only complaint was that his announcing of things like cake cutting and bouquet toss wasn't loud enough to get the guests attention and some guests missed it because they didn't know it was happening. Overall, I would recommend him for your event. His set up was quick and he gladly took guests song requests. His services are also very affordable.

Jason was the DJ for my wedding and he was incredible. He set up an online portal for us. This allowed us to chose the music we: absolutely wanted, would want if time allowed, absolutely did not want, and would only want if requested. My husband and I had so much fun picking and choosing from his wide variety of songs and lists! It is so quick and easy to add any song you want to his list too! He quickly got a feel for the crowd at our wedding and had the entire dance floor packed throughout the night. He was willing to stay an extra hour if the venue would have agreed, because people were loving the music he was pumping out! Jason was so kind and willing to answer any and all questions and meet up frequently.

Great DJ, smart businessman, everyone had a great time and everything requested was played!

Jason at Absolute Best DJ was great for our wedding ceremony and reception. We were able to build our own playlist using his very user-friendly website and then he arranged the music and played it in the perfect combination of old, new, fast and slow. There was not a slow moment during the whole night!! They basically had to kick us out of the venue because EVERYONE wanted him to keep playing! Jason was also very accommodating when trying to figure out our list of songs. There were several songs I wanted that he didn't already have in his database. He got all of them in a moment's notice so that was GREAT! We had such a great time and thought the songs he played really added to the flow of the evening. We would gladly recommend Absolute Best DJ for other wedding or occasions. Jason did a great job and we were very happy with his services. Thanks Jason, for making our special day so memorable :)

We hired Absolute Best DJ Service out of Wilmington to be our DJ at a wedding expo. Even though they had to drive over 2 hours to get to our wedding venue, they had no problem doing it! They had a great and easy to use website that allowed us to pick which songs we wanted played, which songs that we wanted played if there was time and which songs we didn't want played at all. We were able to do our wedding timeline for him on the website as well and he took care of both the ceremony and reception for us! He played great music, had great timing and the dance floor was always packed! They were worth every penny. The only problem and it is not on them, is all the guests kept requesting songs and he was accommodating so probably only 10 of our 60 songs were played! We didn't tell him not to take requests so it is completely on us! That is not on the DJ service which is why we gave them 5 stars. Note to all the brides out there...if you really want the music you selected played, make sure you tell the DJ to only do requests sparingly or not at all!! Luckily for us, our guests did pick good music!
