The space was wonderfully customizable, with tables and chairs included. The separation between the lobby and theatre served perfectly for a cocktail hour, complete with a bar area..., gallery walls where I hung pictures of my hubby and I through our dating years, and dressing rooms for the bridal party.
The theatre has a wooden floor, perfect for dancing. We set up staging for the band and hung decor from the tall ceilings. There is a kitchen and I was allowed to bring in my own caterer.
This venue offered a lot of perks others don't, between the free tables and chairs, the permitted use of an outside caterer, and an on-staff representative that gave vendor referrals and helped throughout the process, the Academy was a perfect historic space for our memorable night!
