Hi! My name is Ace. I'm a professional dance teacher whose specialty is wedding dance. I love giving couples the tools and the confidence to go out and have an amazing first dance. The best part? The skills we learn together are something you can take with you long after your wedding day. Each lesson is tailored to your song and dance goals. By the end of our classes together, you'll have a routine that feels great and the confidence to execute it. We'll make a plan for how to start and how to end your first dance, plus a ton of fun moves to fill out the middle. While I'm always happy to go over your song choices with you so you know what the style options are, you choose the music that speaks to your relationship. Whatever you pick, I'll help you plan a memorable and FUN routine to wow your loved ones. Single lessons are available a la carte, but I always recommend as many dance lessons as you can squeeze in before your big day! While most folks choose to do Slow Dancing for their first dance (I promise it's a heck of a lot more interesting that the Middle School Sway), I also offer classes in over 15 different dance styles including Latin, Country, Swing, and Ballroom dances. I teach in a relaxed, intimate private studio in North Austin - conveniently located off Parmer Lane, close to Mopac, I-35, and Lamar Blvd. After each lesson, I want you to feel empowered to go home and practice. That's why I always email you a full outline of what we learned class. That way, you know the names of everything and how to execute them. If you're a visual learner, I'm more than happy to record the moves we learn in class for you to reference at home as well. My goal is to make dancing fun, easy, and approachable! Students have told me that I have this super-power of making even the most nervous student feel at-ease and excited to learn. I'm excited to work with students of all backgrounds. If you're on the fence about doing dance lessons, I recommend that you do it. It really is a fun experience when you have someone like grace. We also still randomly put on a song and dance at home now that we have a couple tricks up our sleeve. We're going to be out of Austin for a year for work stuff but, when we come back, we are considering learning some new moves from Grace as well.

I had met Grace a few years ago through the local dance scene and felt confident that she would be a good personality match to reduce DH's fears about dancing. The first session went so well that the nervous groom came home after the lesson and suggested moving our living room coffee table aside to practice a few more times before the night ended! It takes a really great instructor like Grace to spark an interest like that in someone anxious about dancing and then to support that new dancer so that it becomes a positive, fun experience.
