Chuck did a fantastic job! We had some unusual requests you don’t normally see at a wedding and he killed it! He is super way to work with and knows how to keep the crowd going! We had a little delay with serving food and he did great at keeping the crowd entertained. I would recommend Chuck any time!

I truly believe the DJ Chuck is the reason our wedding felt like such a success and we continue to get compliments on how fun the night was. From the initial meeting to wedding day, he was very open and active with communication and made sure that our wedding was catered to what we wanted. From the ceremony to the reception, Chuck had all of our songs slated and ready to go and made sure we stuck to our timeline. We used ACT 1 Entertainment for our wedding this Summer and had Cam as our DJ. Everything ran super smoothly and we had so much fun. We were able to use their new photo booth which was super fun too. We highly recommend them!

DJ Chuck was awesome for our wedding!! He listened to the genre of music we wanted and kept the party going all night long! We wanted to have a very quick but intimate ceremony and a banging reception at a different location. Chuck and his assistant did not disappoint, I did not have to think of a thing! Being a couple that wanted to have things "not-so-serious," Chuck gently kept us on schedule and the transitions of the night went perfectly smooth! I am sure Chuck is used to more "serious" brides, those that want everything to a perfect timeline with transitional periods. That was not us! But he worked with us in a wonderful manner and made sure ourselves and our guest had an awesome time. We highly recommend DJ Chuck and Act 1 Entertainment for DJ/MC'ing any party, especially when you want that custom touch to make your dream party!

Chuck did a fantastic job! We had a delay for dinner, but Chuck kept the wedding guests completely entertained with his interactions with them and the bride and groom. No one noticed the wait. Throughout the evening, his choice of songs kept the energy up for a Sunday night reception. There were a lot of happy tears and dancing all night long. If you said yes, book DJ Chuck!! I’ve always said there are 3 things guests truly remember from a wedding, the DJ, the food and the bar. Chuck knows how to read the room, he pulls people onto the dance floor and he will join in on the fun! The music kept all of my guests dancing all night which was one of the top things on my list! Not only that, he makes sure to go above and beyond the standard DJ. To top it off, he created a mix for my daddy/daughter dance. I wanted to surprise my dad with one of my favorite songs and a mix of songs that would remind my dad of my childhood. He had the entire room crying with the song that he created. It was something so incredible and perfect, and it will be a song that my dad and I cherish forever.

Chuck went above and beyond! He made it very clear that he works for the Bride and Groom, not anyone else. He is more then a DJ, he is your right hand man when planning a wedding. Chuck shared so much helpful tips that he has learned in his years of being in the wedding industry. He was always available to chat (call/text/facetime) and answer any questions I had. Hands down will recommend Chuck to anyone planning a wedding!

My husband and I were very happy with Chuck as our DJ. We got married right at the hall before the reception and he provided the equipment and music. He was very attentive to us all evening. I gave him songs I did not want him to play and those I wanted him to play. He did as we had asked. My guests had a great time and the dance floor was always packed. At the end of the evening, Chuck asked my husband if he had anything special to play for the last song and he played it. I loved the fact that my husband chose the song. We also did the trivia during dinner which everyone enjoyed. I would recommend Act 1 Entertainment to anyone planning a wedding and reception.

Chuck was THE man at our wedding. He is super considerate and very attentive to things that no other DJ would even consider. From spinning songs, to chaperoning my nutty father in law, he went way beyond the call of duty! At one point he even went and got our large wedding party drinks before the reception - I figured the ladies and gents would settle for some beers but, oh no was I wrong. They ordered everything from a gimlet to an appletini. Sure enough, Chuck came back with 13 cocktails made to order. What he had to do to get the bartenders to pony up, I’ll never know. On top of it all my grandma died and my dad had a stroke in the week preceding the wedding. Needless to say wedding details were a low priority for me. We gave Chuck the barest guidelines for music, minutes before the event. He proceeded to blow the doors off the place with a perfect playlist. Chuck and Act 1 did a phenomenal job and he’s a wonderful human to boot. I highly recommend him for any event!

Chuck's personality couldn't have meshed any better with ours! He meets with couples in his office multiple times before the big day. He tailors every detail and song to your personality. We never once doubted that our day would be any less than absolutely perfect. If you are looking for a dj, this is your sign. Make chuck with act 1 your dj. While your at it, you can have a 2 for 1 and make his beautiful and talented wife your photographer as well!

No words would ever describe how amazing Chuck was both in the planning stage and on our actual wedding day. We were a Covid couple and our wedding had to get moved 3 times, and Chuck ended up being our DJ on short notice. He made the process so easy for us which was amazing because we were already beyond stressed trying to plan a Covid wedding with all the date changes. On the day of our actual wedding he went above and beyond his normal duties to make sure that our day was as perfect and smooth as it could be. He stepped in wherever he could to help. He kept the energy up and played a good range of music. The slideshows that he did for all the formal dances was an amazing touch. Our wedding party and friends hardly left the dance floor! After all the guest left he played our wedding song one last time so my husband and I could just soak everything in and dance alone. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ!

DJ Chuck and Act 1 Entertainment are great! From our first meeting he was helpful and friendly, and he was great at answering questions. He was easy to work with as we planned our party and personalized it to us, and he was genuinely excited about all of the little touches we were wanting and looking forward to. I highly recommend "dancing on a cloud" for your first dance, it feels so cool while you're doing it and the photos look amazing! Chuck was a great DJ and also a great coordinator. When our officiant couldn't make it to rehearsal he stepped up and walked through her ceremony with us like he had written it. He was great at making sure we were where we needed to be on the day of and that everything was going the way we wanted it to. I highly recommend Act 1 Entertainment and DJ Chuck!

Act 1 was terrific for our vow renewal! Chuck helped us with the timeline for our wedding, music choices, and anything we needed. When we needed to change our date due to Covid, he was very flexible and all it took was confirming he was available on our new date. On the day of our vow renewal, there was rain forecasted and it started to sprinkle just before our outdoor ceremony. Chuck assisted our coordinator in drying off the guest seats without even being asked. Act 1 Entertainment fulfilled all our requests - even those we made on the fly when we decided not to do a big entrance into our reception. He kept all our guests on the dance floor and we couldn’t have been happier. I would recommend them to anyone searching for music for their ceremony/reception because you will be getting way more than just a DJ! Thank you for everything!

Chuck was an AMAZING DJ and I would recommend him to anyone!! All of our guests enjoyed his service and how interactive he was. He did the shoe game, dancing on a smoke cloud, and trivia when sending guests to grab dinner.

Chuck is the life of the party! He is fun and does a great job of keeping people on the dance floor and engaged! In addition, he is very organized and has done so many events he keeps things running smoothly like a well oiled machine. He is kind and helpful throughout the entire process from start to finish. Chuck was referred to us from a family friend! Chuck was so accommodating, thorough and responsive leading up to the event! He definitely eased all of my anxiety being the bride. He was so nice and was on top of all our special requests. He also offered some dinner trivia to keep guests occupied until their table was called! 10/10 would 100% recommend.

We hired Chuck to DJ our wedding on 9/25 and were very disappointed. He was unprofessional, disorganized, and would not listen to the groom or bride. We had sent our timeline and song choices well in adnavce of our wedding and still had to guide him through the entire day. He also chose to talk directly to the bride, myself, or the groom instead of the Day of Coordinator and her assistant that we continually told him to go talk to. He had the wrong color up lighting, even though I confirmed the color choice a few weeks prior. He barged into the bridal suite minutes before I walked into the ceremony and still had the wrong songs for the grandparents and bridal party. The mic on my husband did not work during the ceremony. The speaker quality was poor on the officiant. After the ceremony, when our parents were not even down the recessional yet, he interrupted my husband and I and our bridal party celebrating to ask my husband why his mic was not on (it was, Chuck checked). He pressured me into dinner trivia minutes before our entrance, which we had told him multiple times we did not want. Did not know we were not doing a prayer and were doing our first dance right after our reception entrance (communicated to him on multiple occasions weeks prior). He played each of our Top 10 songs straight through as the first songs instead of playing them throughout the night. Played Wobble, Cupid Shuffle, and Cha-Cha slide one after another instead of spacing them out. Continually stopped playing music to ask me a question in front of all 135 guests on what was supposed to happen next. Continually came up to me as I socialized with guests to interrupt and ask what was next. Started the bouquet toss song before time and before I even had the toss bouquet (we had to use a bridesmaid bouquet). When I over and over and over told him to speak to the day of coordinator instead of me, he ignored me. The last song was to be our first dance song and the second to last was to be a favorite of the bridal party. This was also discussed prior and he was the one in our meeting to suggest doing our first dance song last. 11pm rolls around, he interrupts me speaking to my grandma and wants to play "Country Roads Take Me Home". I told him no, he challenged it, and I told him to play the songs we had chosen for our last ones. All of our guests at the after party mentioned they noticed the stress he was placing on me to know the timeline and tell him what to do next and the complete unprofessionalism. The DJ is something my husband and I prioritized in our wedding and is an aspect we talk about after EVERY wedding we go to. We are so incredibly disappointed and this was truly one of the biggest letdowns of our day.

These guys are 💯First class!! Chuck and his crew made our daughters wedding night so much fun not to mention extra special. They jumped right in our crowd and fit right in and had just as good of a time as we did! Their Photo booth provided really created a lot of funny happy memories for our family and friends. I would highly recommend these guys without any hesitation whatsoever!! Chuck you and your crew are Amazing keep doing what you’re doing because you are the best at it!!

Chuck was amazing we hired him to be the dj at my wedding October 3rd, I would recommend him to anyone! He was very interactive with my guests, had the crowd going all night, and everyone enjoyed him being there! We got so many compliments :) He was constantly asking me and my guests if we needed anything throughout the night, and asking if I was having a good time:) he isn’t just a great dj he’s a great person! Act 1 went above and beyond what any other entertainment service would have done! My husband had a lot of different and unique ideas of things he wanted to do for out ceremony and wedding. Chuck made sure everything happened better than we could have imagined. He’s much more than a DJ. If you want someone truly entertaining, that will keep everyone partying all night long, look no further! We knew instantly when we met that this was the perfect fit!

Chuck is a hoot! We met Chuck when meeting with our photographer. Right away, we knew that he knew his stuff. He asked us about our plans, and helped talk us through some ideas we had. We booked him on the spot. He did a great job, even going above and beyond. We upgraded to include a photo booth, and we were very impressed. If I could do it all again I would have spent more money and danced longer! My wedding was the best day of my life and my reception was hands down the best out of all of my friends (sorry ladies but you know it's true!) I had DJ Chuck with DJ Kam running the photo booth and helping out. From the minute we met Chuck at the State Street Bridal Suites offices my fiance became his BFF! He was so open and honest with everything and helped us right up to the week before the wedding figuring out what music we wanted. And the photo booth was a huge hit even with our parents and their friends! Ladies your reception will be made or broken by the DJ you chose so JUST CHOOSE DJ CHUCK RIGHT NOW!!

DJ Chuck and DJ Kam are the DREAM TEAM of wedding entertainment. There were things that needed to be handled and without hesitation they were on it. The dinner trivia was so much fun our family is still talking about it. I have been to many weddings but never had a DJ who actually took the time to interact and talk to guest and listen to what they wanted to hear. Hire Act 1 immediately if not sooner.

Chuck is amazing to work with! He’s so chill and easy to work with. He goes above and beyond for his couples making sure that everything is good the day of the wedding and he even made sure to grab me a piece of my wedding cake so i didn’t miss out while visiting with guests! We hired Chuck for our November 16th wedding and it was one of the best choices that we made! From our first meeting he was professional but had a very laid back vibe which I loved. He kept in touch with us during the whole wedding planning process offering any advice that we needed (not just song selection) and helped us prepare slide shows for the reception. He really paid attention to the things that we wanted and made sure that they happened. The day of our wedding he was a complete saint. I have high anxiety and he helped me to stay calm and relaxed when I felt like my head was going to start spinning from all of the little things that were not going as planned. Chuck walked us through the ceremony and made sure that everyone was in their places when they needed to be there. After the ceremony, he made sure that my husband and I were taken care of and reminded us to take a minute for just ourselves. He checked on us before the grand entrance and through the evening just to make sure we were happy with everything while keeping us informed of everything that was going on. Chuck kept our guests entertained while we were running late from pictures and kept them laughing by doing the table trivia as tables were being released for dinner. Now, I love our friends and family but a lot of them do not dance; this did not discourage Chuck, he continued to play the music that the few of us on the dancefloor enjoyed and with my permission, at the end of the evening, he allowed my friends to use his microphone to Karaoke over the music. This small gesture is one of the things that people keep talking about that set our reception apart from the rest, even the people who were sitting at the tables enjoyed the "show". Chuck was not just our DJ for our wedding, he was our sounding board, an entertainer, my therapist and a friend. If you want a personalized experience and someone who actually cares about your wedding day then you NEED to hire Chuck.

Hands down THE BEST around! We came into wedding planning with high expectations on what we wanted for a DJ/ MC. We wanted someone to take charge and corral the entire body of people so our timeline would go smooth. As any married couple will attest, the day goes by in a blink, having a schedule for the events is a must! Chuck walked us through the rehearsal, and put any and all fears we had right to bed. He and his help were dressed very nice and were very professional. The equipment they use is top notch, and we had zero technical issues the entire day! Our wedding day/ night was perfect thanks to the help and guidance of Chuck and his team. He played great music, more than just the requested stuff, when you are a DJ I believe it’s your responsibility to feel out the room and to keep everyone on their feet, and he did just that! All in all I couldn’t be more pleased with our decision to have Chuck and Act 1 Entertainment for our wedding. Again it was a perfect night and I can’t thank them enough! 10/10 would recommend!

Our DJ was perfect. He made the whole planning process stress-free and downright fun. The big night was absolutely flawless and his attention to detail made every moment a memorable one. You can't go wrong with this company.

Our wedding would not have been as amazing if it weren’t for Chuck (DJ) and Cam (Photobooth). Chuck ensured that every detail was perfect, from helping us plan and making sure we didn’t miss any detail, to helping us at rehearsal, putting together slideshows for all of our special dances, to running to me outside the venue to make sure I liked our photo on our photo strip, showing us his dance moves at the wedding, never allowing anything to get played on the “do not play” list, and telling guests to not be stupid and drop glasses on the dance floor! He was respectful of the older guests and didn’t play our bridesmaid booty shaking request too early in the night; however, I wouldn’t have cared if he did! He truly went above and beyond to make sure WE HAD the perfect day! I will ALWAYS recommended Chuck and the State Street Bridal Suite team. They made us like feel like family!

Amazing DJ who actually listens to what you want for your big day!

DJ Chuck was the MC for my brothers wedding, and I knew we had to have him for ours too. He did it all for them. Planned and coordinated the music to the ceremony, kept everyone informed all day, and made the reception perfect! My wife and I had an unusual schedule for our wedding. Started with the Beastie Boys grand entrance song to the reception at 6:00pm, followed by speeches, dinner, drinks, games, and more. Then the ceremony was at 9:00pm. And then back to the dance floor! It was such an amazing night! DJ Chuck and Act 1 Entertainment came through big for us as well. He handled everything from the reception, to the ceremony, and back to the reception. The stage setup, lights, and the music choices were awesome for all ages. They bring a photo booth for fun pics. There is music videos to go with the songs. He does a great trivia for entertainment during dinner. All around great entertainment from start to finish. Whatever we wanted, he made it happen.

Chuck was the DJ/MC at my wedding in October, 2018. He did such an amazing job that my brother and his fiancé who are getting married next summer (3 hours away), hired him for their wedding. If that doesn't speak volume of his abilities as a DJ, I don't know what does! So let me start by saying my husband and I were planning a wedding from FL to be had in MI. Consequently, we had several Skype sessions to communicate over the course of planning. I seriously remember starting the sessions very anxious (come on planning a wedding is STRESSFUL people). and by the end would feel so calm and at ease. he would remind me over and over to remember what this wedding is about. Its about what WE WANT and to HAVE FUN! He always put things into perspective. I joke that he was partly my therapist. Not to brag (and honestly, I hope every bride feels this way) but our wedding was EPIC. The dance floor was seriously packed the entire night. Chuck knows how to work a crowd. He does games early on (shoe game, anniversary game) to incorporate and engage the guests and they all worked wonderfully! I was seriously so sad when midnight rolled around, I did not want to leave the dance floor!!! That is how every bride should feel at the end of the night. He is also adamant about doing what the bride wants. If I had a nickel for every time he said "Whatever the bride wants"... He knows what the people like, but if the bride wants a song or has a particular request-DONE. In addition to that, our uplighting at the reception was GORGEOUS. For the ceremony, he has all the mics set up and does the sound. He also does the music for the ceremony if you would like. I would also like to say he makes sure things runs smoothly and on time. If there was hiccough on my wedding day, guess what? I STILL DON'T KNOW ABOUT IT!!! Another bonus? My family (specifically my mom who tends to dislike people before she likes them) LOVED CHUCK. Hence, why he's now doing my brothers wedding July 2020. For an event that you are literally spending a year to plan. Yes, you want someone professional that will deliver on your wedding day, of course! But in addition to that, Chuck is also supportive and just a fun, good guy. My wedding was so special and a big part of why were the relationships we made with the people who really helped make it come together so wonderfully.

Charles was the best. He made sure things went better then expected. He kept calm and cool with everything going on. I will definitely be recommending him. He was early for setup and any run thrus or questions needed. Entertained our guests. The best day and night ever.

Chuck went above and beyond for our wedding, he literally drove about ten hours to DJ our wedding and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. He’s as professional as they come, and catered to our every need. I’ve never seen a DJ so interactive with the guests. Whether it’s doing trivia or dancing with us to the the Cupid shuffle, he never let the entertainment subside. I would definitely recommend Chuck to anyone looking for an amazing DJ and an amazing night.

Chuck was absolutely fantastic! He was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the each piece of the wedding from planing to the day of. Made everything go as smoothly as possible and kept everyone entertained. My wife and I have gone to a couple weddings after ours and their entertainment was no where near as good as what Chuck provided for us. And they paid a ton more too. And if you are looking for someone who is not only a great entertainer but is also budget friendly, Chuck from Act 1 Entertainment is your guy!

Chuck was such an amazing DJ. He had my family and friends laughing and dancing all night. Even got on the dance floor himself and got a great picture of him and I (the bride). I recommend him to everyone I know that just got engaged and is looking for a DJ. When I was shopping around for people to hire for my wedding I was so lost. I wanted the best! When we finally met chuck, it was a done deal. He made my husband and I feel like we’ve known each other for a long time. He will go above and beyond to make your day as amazing and you want it. My husband and I were scrambling last minute for an officiant because our original thought fell through and he stepped up! He was able to marry my husband and I, and I couldn’t have asked for a better officiant! He was amazing. And that position will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Personally, when I read reviews I want to know both the good and the bad sides. But honestly there is not one thing bad about Chuck. He is great. From stepping up and being our officiant to going out of his comfort zone and playing the song “I’m on a Boat” that we wanted to hear, there is not one thing Chuck wouldn’t do for his clients. If you are trying to decide between several djs, start with Chuck because once you meet the guy you won’t even want to look elsewhere. When you book him, you are not just getting a dj, you are getting someone that will make damn sure your big day goes the way you want it. Anything that goes wrong, you can always rely on Chuck to make it better. Also, if you book with Chuck, make sure you look into booking Amber as your photographer, the two are for sure a package deal.

Chuck was absolutely phenomenal, he went above & beyond! Not only was he a great dj & kept our dance floor rockin', he worked with both my photographer and videographer to coordinate our day (ceremony coordination along with reception timeline), he made us a sweet slideshow of photos of our relationship, and he kept our guests entertained during their wait to get in the dinner line with a trivia game! He did such a great job that one of my bridesmaids is getting married next and she booked Chuck to do her wedding as well! We HIGHLY recommend Chuck for all your music entertainment needs for any event.

I underestimated DJs until I met Chuck. The music was great but what impressed me so much was everything he did to go above and beyond simply choosing songs and making announcements. From our first meeting, he was adamant that we wouldn't need to lift a finger on our wedding day and in every aspect he was involved, he delivered. We were a little shorthanded during setup, so he jumped in and helped arrange chairs, etc. When it was time to enter the reception with the wedding party, he made sure he knew (and could pronounce) everyone's name, lined us up, and told us exactly what to expect. In our unfortunately tiny venue he found space for everyone who wanted to dance. If you're looking for someone who you can trust to command the room and make sure things go exactly the way YOU want them to so you can focus on enjoying your wedding, I can't recommend Act 1 highly enough.
