We are a full-service custom menswear shop in Soho, NYC, providing tuxedos, suits, blazers, trousers, shirts, outerwear, and accessories. For over 10 years, we have been dressing grooms, wedding parties, and guests to bring style, elegance, and confidence to your most special occasion.
We invite you to our shop - more like a living room - to meet with our design director, Alex Sumner, and learn more about the Acustom approach. Settle into our comfortable couch with a drink, and Alex will listen to your initial ideas and offer advice to help you achieve your vision. Alex is a born stylist with decades of expertise dressing his clients in outfits that range from traditionally conservative to downright splashy - from the casual beach wedding to the most formal black tie occasion. Alex always points out that the 4 essential components of any suit are great craftsmanship, great materials, great design details, and, most importantly, great fit. At Acustom Apparel, we strive to provide it all.
Ready to take the plunge? Pick fabrics, choose your custom details, and we'll measure you up. Expect delivery within 4-5 weeks from the order date. Then we bring you in for a fitting with our tailor. Any slight adjustments can be completed within a week, and you are ready for the big lights! We understand that planning a wedding is a juggling act, and we will do everything to make this process go smoothly, so you can focus on the rest of it.

Alex Sumner
Design Director
Alex is a born stylist. With over 4 decades working in custom menswear, Alex's favorite role is as an educator. His experience includes years teaching at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Whether in the classroom or our shop in Soho, Alex enjoys sharing his knowledge about style and fit above all else. He places heavy emphasis on building outfits that are meticulously appropriate for the occasion, taking into account details such as season and geography. Alex builds his relationships with lifelong clients, helping them create wardrobes that include both versatile and standout pieces. Most of all, you will find that working with Alex is fun. You will leave his shop feeling like you have just gained a new style mentor and friend.
