We looked at more than 15 venues in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, and our experience with the staffing team at Adero was by far our worst experience – in fact, it is the only negative experience we had with any vendor we evaluated for our wedding. Adero has a beautiful view and it was my favorite setting of any venue we looked at. However, due to our concerns with multiple members of their team, we ultimately lost any confidence in trusting Adero to execute our event. The impact to us was that we lost months in our wedding planning timeline before ultimately walking away and selecting a different venue for our March 2021 wedding. Additional Details: · Important: Most of the reviews you see on The Knot are of the old venue and previous management, when this was previously the Copperwynd resort. Adero took over this property and opened in Sept 2020 and my experience was 100% with Adero. The reviews on The Knot for this venue are mostly for Copperwynd, the old resort/staff, and are not reflective of the staff or policies at Adero. · The good: the views are absolutely incredible. · The bad: The staff are not aligned with each other, are unorganized, and the way the team talked about each other made us uncomfortable (staff members spoke poorly about one another and blamed each other for things when issues happened). Their response time was excellent during the early selling process, but as soon as we moved into the contract phase, the responsiveness time and attention-to-detail changed very much and the service level plummeted. For example, we had to follow up 3-5 times (e-mails, calls, texts that would be ignored) over the course of four weeks to get answers to basic questions. Another example: they would answer 1 question out of 3 asked questions when they would finally get back to us, and then we would have to chase them down to get the rest of our answers. · Pricing: We ultimately chose a different venue, The Royal Palms (a five-star resort), and the food/alcohol pricing we received from Royal Palms was lower than what Adero was charging. Adero is trying to price itself at the high-end of the Phoenix metro area venues (e.g. pricing relatively aligned with Sanctuary, Mountain Shadows) but in our experience with multiple team members at Adero, their customer service is extremely lower than any other venue we engaged with within this price range.

lieve the mountains Jenna and the staff moved to make our special day memorable and truly amazing. All last minute changes were handled seamlessly with grace and composure. They even arranged for the photographer to stop and buy clear umbrellas for us at the 11th hour to take our pre-ceremony photos. (which turned out great, BTW - roguexphotos.com) Jenna alone is worth choosing this as your venue and that speaks volumes since the views at CopperWynd are picturesque and breathtaking. We did not have a planner and Jenna was fantastic to work with from start to finish and did not miss a beat when everything changed last minute. We simply cannot say enough about how attentive, friendly and helpful the entire staff was the whole weekend. Almost every one of our guests commented about how impressed they were with CopperWynd. From booking their room with Lindsay, to checking in at the front desk and all the assistance from Gary, the attentiveness from all Casey and all the bartenders and wait staff - They are all superheroes!!! Thank you so much Jenna and the entire CopperWynd staff for making our day so wonderful!!!

She and her whole crew were so sweet and amazing to work with. The only disappoint I had was the food served here. Unfortunately it really lacked in flavor which was a bummer :( they don’t allow tastings for lunch menu (we had our wedding at lunch time). Besides that, my guests loved the whole resort. If you have a lot of out of towners (like I did) they will surely love the stunning views of the mountains! Thank you SO much to Jenna and her whole team!!

Nella, assured me that my wedding would be perfect and she would do everything in her power to make it exactly as planned. Nella delivered on this promise 150 percent! She took care of every imaginable detail. The tables and decorations were stunning, the timetable I set that I gave to Nella to follow was adhered to, right down to the minute. The wedding ceremony, reception and sit down dinner flowed seamlessly. Nella was there throughout the entire night coordinating each detail. One year later, our wedding guests are still talking about the food! It truly was that good. It was prepared and presented to our guests perfectly. My husband and I cannot rave enough about this beautiful venue, specifically Nella . She made our wedding the most spectacular event of our life and our hearts are still full of gratitude to her and the staff of Copperwynd.

anned a destination wedding at CopperWynd. We could not have done it without Nella. She was fantastic! – She thought of everything and more. If I didn’t have something/or needed something – she had it taken care of! Her team and staff were truly amazing. Nella went above and beyond. We had an offsite Welcome Barbeque to welcome our guests, and she helped us organize bartenders and shuttles to and from the resort. The entire CopperWynd Staff made us feel right at home. The food was spectacular, and delicious! – I did not have to think of a thing! Everything moved right into the next thing, and that is because it was all done behind the scenes with Nella and her team. We cannot say enough about our wedding and experience with CopperWynd, it was truly a dream wedding, and dream venue. We can’t wait to go back and visit Nella and her team this spring! They are our new AZ Friends!!!

ller view is what made us fall in love with this venue. We were then greeted by Nella who is immediately warm and knowledgable. I felt like I could trust her right off the bat. After we committed and started the planning process Nella was there to answer questions. We had a day of planner but for the most part we were on our own which left me calling Nella a lot. Whenever there was a change she was upfront and always had a solution. Fast forward to our wedding weekend and it was PERFECT! We has 95% of the rooms booked for our wedding and the staff was incredibly nice. The bartenders, spa staff and even maids knew that we were the bride and groom. The bartenders at the pool greeted my husband by name when we arrived- he felt like a celebrity. It made us feel so special! Saturday came around and everything went off without a hitch! I did a lot of planning so I would like to take some credit, but I know that without Nella and the staff at the Copperwynd my dream wedding might not have come together so beautifully and easily. If there was a problem I sure didn't know about it. Nella stayed through the entire wedding and reception to make sure everything was taken care of. Moral of the story is that I would suggest the Copperwynd for many reasons! The amazing view, the intimate boutique setting, Modern interior, friendly staff and a trustworthy event coordinator. * Fun suggestion for those of us crazy brides with a big wedding party ( I had 10 bridesmaids and 15 of us getting hair and makeup done the day of). If you or a family stay in one of the villas on property it is a great place to get ready and have plenty of room! It was a last minute decision for me and it was perfect.... but i thought the entire day was so I am a little biased.

verall amazing views. Sadly, working with Nella the wedding planner, proved to be a constant challenge. Her response rate was horrible, which made planning a destination wedding very difficult. For example, we got her the final count for our wedding a month before the date, she didn't get us the final contracts to sign until the day before they were due (20 days later). There is also extremely high turnover at the resort, nobody knows what's going on, and everyone seems to be a new worker. The day we arrived in town for the wedding we found out that there was a new chef, we were told by a receptionist, it would've been nice for Nella to notify us of this change! She also wasn't there to help during our rehearsal, and didn't have the room setup for rehearsal dinner in time, so our guests were sitting on the balcony, when we should've had our own private room. We had a large gap on our wedding night between the salad and main course, guests got restless and started mingling, it just was NOT an ideal experience. Some of our guests also walked in on a worker secretly devouring an enormous piece of our wedding cake, so not professional! Our bartenders were awesome though! If you're interested in Copperwynd, it's a struggle if you're planning a destination wedding, I would highly suggest getting your own wedding planner so you don't rely so much on Nella. Overall, the views are gorgeous, but the staff is not.

nation bride from the east coast and all my guests were flying out from there, so I knew I wanted an outdoor venue that showed Arizona's true beauty. This location sits high above the town of Fountain Hills and over looks Four Peaks, which was breathtaking as the sun was setting. The food and service were exceptional and Lynn made sure every detail was perfect and that my wedding day was our dream come true. The majority of my guests stayed at the resort and no one wanted to leave! The service the entire week was beyond what we expected and they catered to every need and request. My guests could not say enough good things about their stay and especially the wedding. I would highly recommend this location to any bride looking for a high-end, outdoor location!

ie Jones. During the planning process for the wedding, Ms. Jones presented to us the options available for alcoholic beverages at Alchemy. She explained that they had two options available for open bar. The first option, allowed our guests to have access to alcoholic beverages at Alchemy’s bar for a total period of four hours during the event. This option included generic alcoholic beverages, or as she explained, not the deluxe brands. The second option, also allowed our guests to have access to alcoholic beverages at Alchemy’s bar for a period of four hours during the event. This second option—however— included any name-brand alcoholic beverages available at the bar, or as she explained, the deluxe brands. My wife and I asked the wedding coordinator if this included high-end name brands, and she confirmed that this was the case. The price difference between the two options was significant, and my wife and I opted for the second option, because we did not wish to limit our guests to the less expensive brands of liquor. It was clearly understood by us and the wedding coordinator that our guests would have access to any of the alcoholic beverages available at the bar one hour before the reception and three hours after the reception. During the event, our guests were denied access to anything but cheap whisky, and they were steered—as members of the wedding event—to pre-poured glasses of wine and beer that were lined up at each of the two bars. If any of the guests asked for anything other than wine or beer, they were told that there would be a ten dollar charge for each drink. Some of our guests who had been informed about our open bar policy, insisted on being served drinks other than wine or beer, and they were grudgingly given cheap whisky. It was not until the end of the event that I was informed by a number of my guests about the situation with the bar, with the guests having to pay for drinks. I contacted Ms. Jones by email about this after the wedding, and asked for an explanation and she said that she apologized about all the mistakes and that things like the alcohol she had no idea, and that she would have stopped that if she had known. I contacted Bruce, the manager for Alchemy, and I asked him to forward my complaint to Paul O’Connor, the chef and owner of the restaurant. I have thus far yet to hear back from any of them about the alcohol issue. We filed a complaint with the Phoenix Better Business Bureau but Alchemy at Copperwynd decided not to respond to the BBB. Hence, their BBB rating is being negatively impacted. We feel that Alchemy has to refund us the difference between the deluxe alcohol fee that they charged us for 139 guests and the fee that they charged for the no-brand alcohol open bar, in view of the fact they are in breach of contract. Our contract with Alchemy reflects on page 2 the following: “Food and Beverage: For the reception there will be stations positioned around the perimeter of the event lawn, and the cost will be $64.00 per person ++ and deluxe alcohol for 4 hours at $36.00 per person++. We found out later that the catering manager for Alchemy and Copperwynd quit shortly before our wedding event. We were, however, not informed of this issue, which
