Incredibly beautiful Victorian and restored barn ideal for a classic country weekend wedding! Located near Gore Mountain on 20 acres of land on quiet country road, this fine home sleeps ten guests and is perfect for small weddings up to about 50 guests.
For up to about 40 additional guests, we have rental cabins, cottages and glamping tents a short distance away. Two of our cottages are just down the mountain from the Victorian and located right on the Hudson River. About 10 miles from the Victorian, we have a property we call North River Hobby Farm where we have seven small cabins with amazing mountain views, four glamping tents, a wood fired pizza oven, sauna, Japanese hot tub and extensive flower gardens (yes, we can supply flowers for your wedding!)
RECEPTION:
The Victorian house has seating for about 15 guests and with its large open kitchen and dining room would be idea for cocktail hour after the ceremony and champagne toasts. The first floor of the barn is set up with tables for about 25 guests, a catering kitchen, and down the hall, a half bath and the beautiful Japanese-inspired cedar hot tub. We provide all the china, silverware and serving dishes for your use. There are several sideboards for your buffet spreads and a lovely red gas fireplace for cool nights, and refrigerators for beverages. As mentioned, there is a small stage for speeches or a small band.
The second floor of the barn is similar --- table seating for up to about 25 guests, catering kitchen, beverage fridges and large island and sideboards for buffets.
For dancing, we will take down some of the tables. We have blue tooth speakers so you can bring your own playlist (affordable!) or you can bring in a DJ or small band.
There are some great caterers and restaurants in our area. For small weddings, we can do the catering for you. Or perhaps you would consider having friends or family make some or all of your reception dinner.
Your ceremony can take place in the large adjoining meadow where we are building a Victorian-inspired wedding gazebo. We will supply folding chairs for 50 guests. In cool or rainy weather, the barn can be used for your ceremony. We will move out the tables and set up the 50 chairs, then reset the furniture for your reception and dancing.
We can supply a quote to use this fine property for your wedding venue once we have a clear idea of what the wedding entails (number of guests, wedding party needs, reception and ceremony requirements etc).

My daughter and I have been in the hospitality business for many decades as the owners of 14 vacation rental cabins and glamping tents in the Adirondacks including this gorgeous Victorian home which we now offer as a wedding venue. We have over 3800 great reviews on Airbnb and VRBO which demonstrate our commitment to making sure guests have an amazing stay. My background is in construction, and our places were built or renovated with my own team. I have organized grand openings, receptions and countless entertainment events over my years in business.
This summer at our North River Hobby Farm where we have small cabins with panoramic mountain views and cozy glamping tents, I’ve had the chance to speak about weddings with literally hundreds of our guests while serving them breakfast in our Bakery or making wood fired pizza for them. I have heard many, many stories about memorable weddings, the planning process and budgeting.
As a builder, I have grave concerns about the ability of the younger generation to be able to afford a home. I don’t foresee a way to bring down the cost of materials and land, and it doesn’t look like sellers will be dropping home prices any time soon.
I am committed to finding a way for people to have a memorable yet affordable wedding. Our wedding venue is priced at a reasonable cost. We can provide flowers at a low cost from our nearby flower farm. The house sleeps ten guests who may be willing to help with some of the cooking, or possibly help up with makeup and hair. We include everything you need in terms of china, dishes, napkins, cutlery so there is no need to rent these items. And we have reasonably priced additional housing not far from the Victorian for your additional wedding guests.
So ask about taking a tour of this fabulous property! And let’s see if we can put together a memorable wedding at a reasonable price.

Gore Mountain has become my go to favorite ski area. I love the Adirondacks and the vibe of the whole place. I usually rent a VRBO in the area and ski for 2 days. The mountain has a variety of difficulty that suits all preferences. Great al...
ternative than heading to crowded Vermont resorts. Good lodge and good selection for lunch if you did not bring your own. Conditions have always been top notch.

The mountains great! Plain and simple. Lots of great runs to be had on lifts sporadically placed over several peaks. The way the lifts and trails are designed and laid out really makes you think about the runs you want to take. It keeps things ...
interesting. Not all the lifts are fast but most of them are quick enough to not be a schlage. There's a few flat spots at the tops of lifts which, as a boarder, is a little annoying but it comes with the territory at certain mountains.
My only gripe is that not all staff seem super happy or personable but that's what you get when you have so many bodies working for the same location. A couple of non-talkers. A couple staff not responding back when you smile to them. Not everybody's going to have great customer service skills or be in the best of moods while they're at work. There were a few folks cleaning up The lodges and operating the lifts that were super happy and a delight to engage with.
Not necessarily egregious but the one that affected me the most was somebody in the repair department. They didn't know how to approach or even be remotely interested in looking at my boa malfunction in my boots. I did some research on the spot and just needed a flathead screwdriver which they did give me (kudos) and I fixed it myself. Excited to fix my boots for nothing, on returning the screwdriver I genuinely inquired "you guys want to learn about this" and was met with "no, not really". No skin off my back but those guys didn't want to apply themselves that day.
There's plenty of sitting areas and spots to store your gear when you're out on the mountain. The bars and restaurants are great! They charge a very fair amount compared to other mountains I've been to.
The new Lodge at North ski bowl is off the charts awesome! I know it's a different entity but Timber and Thyme is an excellent establishment that will no doubt attract people to the lodge that are not even skiing. Those guys are a complete 180 regarding the customer service experience I had throughout my day on the mountain. It was a great way to end my first time at Gore since I was 18. I'm a happy season pass holder.

Exceptional view of the High Peaks from the Windy Hill Vista point. Hiking trail to the summit from the Saddle Lodge has several steep sections. Recommend using trekking poles. And, as always in the Adirondacks, don't leave home without your b...

Gore is my big season pass mountain and though I agree you have to shlep around between mountains and trails, the actual trails are well maintained and this mountain has some of the best intermediate/expert tree glades in the Northeast. The rea...
son I'm writing this review is to commend the ski tuning shop, with a pass holder discount and a crew that does a great job of tuning and waxing my boards. I often hear about people paying a small fortune to tune up their boards, binding mounting, etc. but the crew at Gore does an excellent job keeping me upright with the inevitable encounters with "firm" conditions. Keep up the great work!

I drive 2 hours up to go ride their advertised bike park today and use my season pass, as it is states in the pass perks that you get to ride the bike park the whole '26 summer season. When I arrived at the main lodge there was no one there at ...
all... I ended up driving down to the smaller lodge (north creek ski bowl) and saw a lift spinning with people on it. I was relieved and glad I found the bike park, I was terribly wrong.
I put on my gear and biked up to the lift and a lift came over to me as im noticing there aren't normal bike chairs on. He proceeds to tell me that they fully stopped mountain biking and I can't get on the lift with my bike, it's only for scenic riders. I was thankful for the info but I couldn't get an answer from anyone as to why it's not advertised whatsoever and why I wasn't informed as a passholder as its clearly stated that it still gives you access to a now nonexistent bike park. Half the reason I bought the season pass was so I could go downhill biking there for the summer/fall. Im extremely disappointed with Gore mountain, im considering dropping the season pass altogether after this interaction and I was already on the fence with Ikon. 🤷♂️ What a terrible day of driving hours for nothing.
